Abstract: A furniture assembly can include a tabletop with removable legs. The removable legs can be attached to the tabletop with a socket having a threaded member mounted in a non-fixed and anti-rotation registration at the bottom of the socket. The legs can be mounted to the socket by insertion and turning for threaded engagement. The floating engagement mechanism can allow the threaded fastener member to move during installation to provide for enhanced alignability between the leg and the threaded fastener member.

Abstract: A pallet includes a base layer, a cargo layer and spaced apart supports coupled between the base and cargo layers and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. The supports include outer corner supports each configured as a C-shaped bracket, and center supports each configured as a circular-shaped cylinder. Each center support including an outer wall having opposing ends, a center hub having opposing ends, and ribs extending between the center hub and the outer wall.

Abstract: An attachment assembly for use with furniture and other articles. The attachment assembly includes a connector assembly that is configured to engage with a rail. The connector assembly includes a first, fixed protrusion, a lever, a second protrusion extending from the lever, and a third protrusion positioned between the first protrusion and the second protrusion. The rail includes a lip and a cutout in the lip that is sized to receive the third protrusion. The rail is configured to retain the connector assembly. Pivoting the lever when the connector assembly is positioned within the rail is configured to cause the second protrusion to bear against a bottom surface of the rail, such that the first protrusion and the second protrusion frictionally engage the bottom surface of the rail and the third protrusion frictionally engages the lip to fixedly hold the connector assembly.

Abstract: A seat includes a seat surface and a central leg with feet close to an end remote from the seat surface. The feet are movable between a transport position substantially parallel to the leg and an operative position extending substantially radially from the leg. Several feet are connected to each other by at least one connecting element extending from the leg. A method includes supplying a central leg with feet in a transport position directed substantially parallel to the leg, supplying at least one connecting element, moving the feet from the transport position to an operative position extending substantially in radial direction from the leg, and connecting at least several feet to each other using the connecting element, wherein the connecting element extends at a distance from the central leg.

Abstract: A beach umbrella comprises a lower pole section and separate upper pole section with a canopy. The pole sections may be connected by inserting the lower end of the upper section into a sleeve on the upper end of the lower section. The sleeve includes a hinged lever arm that may be positioned to permit manual rotation of the lower section to bore the lower pole securely into the soil and thereby permit coupling of the upper section to the lower section positioned in the ground. The lower end of the lower section includes a hollow tubular sleeve with outwardly projecting fins or blades to bore into the soil when the lower pole section is rotated and axially projecting teeth to pierce the sand.

Abstract: The portable tray for a folding chair is a table. The portable tray for a folding chair is configured for use with a drink holder. The portable tray for a folding chair attaches to the drink holder such that a portion of the load path of the portable tray for a folding chair transfers through the drink holder to the supporting surface that supports the structure containing the drink holder. The portable tray for a folding chair comprises a tray, a telescopic stanchion, and a stabilizer. The tray is a horizontal surface that is used to support objects. The telescopic stanchion is a vertical support that raises the tray above the supporting surface. The stabilizer is a device that attaches the tray to the drink holder. The vertical span of the telescopic stanchion is adjustable.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a housing includes a base plate and a frame formed on an outer edge of the base plate. The base plate includes a positioning hole for positioning in a mold. At least, the frame has a cross-section protruding outside the base plate. A positioning pin fit into the positioning hole is provided in the mold. An inlet through which molten resin is injected into a cavity of the mold is opened in the positioning pin. In the housing, the frame is formed on the outer edge of the base plate by injecting synthetic resin into the mold through the inlet.

Abstract: A bed supporting device adapted to be installed to a bottom seat of a bed includes a leg unit; a first link board connected to an upper end of the leg unit, and formed with a first through hole; and a second link board for connection to the bottom seat, installed on the first link board and formed with a second through hole corresponding to the first through hole; wherein, either the first or second through hole is elongated such that a fixing screw can extend through the first and second through holes in the first and second link boards for coupling a fastener, thereby immobilizing the first and second link boards.

Abstract: A collapsible outdoor table includes a substantially triangular tabletop having a centrally positioned, circular indention on an upper surface for retaining a plate. Surrounding the central indention are a plurality of cylindrical cavities for holding a beverage container and a recessed area for storing accessory items. The tabletop is elevated above underlying terrain by a collapsible, tripod-style support structure that firmly stabilizes the tabletop on both flat and irregular terrain. When the support structure is detached from the tabletop, it can be easily collapsed for transport and storage.

Abstract: An umbrella holder having a base, a holder removably attachable to the base, and a plurality of stakes to secure the base to the ground. A top surface of the base has a section to store the holder when not in use. A bottom surface of the base has a plurality of stake holders to hold the stakes when not in use. The holder has two tubes attached by link arms to allow the two holders to be adjustable relative to each other. The base also has a central main hole and a plurality of auxiliary holes so that a pole can be inserted through at least one of the tubes and through the main hole so as to be perpendicular to the ground, or through one of the auxiliary holes so as to be non-perpendicular to the ground.

Abstract: A support stand for a beach umbrella or similar structure that requires support is described. The support stand includes a base plate having an upwardly extending attachment cylinder for receiving a pole of an item the needs support. The bottom of the support stand includes a plurality of pivotally attached projections for extending into the ground to provide support. The projections are biased open but can be selectively folded flat against the bottom of the support stand and then held in place for transportation or storage. The support stand includes a handle and pole attachment features the enable one handed transportation.

Abstract: A mounting support for a photovoltaic module is described. The mounting support includes a pedestal having a surface adaptable to receive a flat side of a photovoltaic module laminate. A hole is disposed in the pedestal, the hole adaptable to receive a bolt or a pin used to couple the pedestal to the flat side of the photovoltaic module laminate.

Abstract: An assembling arrangement serves for securing a tubular furniture leg to the top plate of a piece of furniture. The assembling arrangement comprises a through opening formed in the top plate, a top mounting, which spans the through opening on the top side of the top plate, a bottom mounting, which spans the through opening on the bottom side of the top plate and is attached to the leg, a first bore formed through the top mounting and a second bore formed through the bottom mounting in line with the first bore, a screw having a shaft extending downwards in the leg via the first bore, the through opening and the second bore, a nut for the screw shaft placed in the leg, and an anchoring mechanism for firmly anchoring the nut in the leg in the secured state of the leg. The assembling arrangement is inexpensive and strong and can advantageously be used for mounting legs upon cantilever tables and chairs.

Abstract: A worksurface leg mount is provided for interconnecting a support leg to a worksurface. The worksurface leg mount system includes an anchor plate attached to a lower surface of the worksurface, and a mounting plate attached to and optionally recessed in an upper end of the support leg. A fastener extends between and connects the anchor and mounting plates, which are spaced from each other. Loads that enter the mounting plate in discrete directions are transmitted through the fastener and into the anchor plate, where the loads are spread across the interfaces between the anchor plate and worksurface.

Abstract: A mounting support for a photovoltaic module is described. The mounting support includes a pedestal having a surface adaptable to receive a flat side of a photovoltaic module laminate. A hole is disposed in the pedestal, the hole adaptable to receive a bolt or a pin used to couple the pedestal to the flat side of the photovoltaic module laminate.

Abstract: A table pad assembly having at least one table pad end section that extends beyond the longitudinal edge of a table top. In addition to the table pad end section, the assembly includes at least two brackets each having a female attaching portion and a base portion, at least one spline having a first opening and a second opening, at least a set of legs, and an adjustable foot on each leg.

Abstract: A table includes legs, each of which includes a tube and a long screw rod passing through the tube. The tube has a limit step at a first end. The long screw rod has a protruding step at the first end and a screw at a second end. The table also has a tabletop with screw holes. Each screw hole is for receiving the screw of the long screw rod. The screw is lock-connected with the screw hole when the legs are perpendicularly joined to the tabletop at the second end. The protruding step of the long screw rod engages the limit step of the tube.

The crossbar is located between the leg units. The table top includes planks and tubes for supporting the planks. The table top is supported on the table top support portions while the tubes are received in the recesses. Screws are used to secure the crossbar to the legs, secure the table top to the table top support portions, and secure the benches to the bench support portions.

Abstract: A worksurface leg mount is provided for interconnecting a support leg to a worksurface. The worksurface leg mount system includes an anchor plate attached to a lower surface of the worksurface, and a mounting plate attached to and optionally recessed in an upper end of the support leg. A fastener extends between and connects the anchor and mounting plates, which are spaced from each other. Loads that enter the mounting plate in discrete directions are transmitted through the fastener and into the anchor plate, where the loads are spread across the interfaces between the anchor plate and worksurface.

Abstract: A device for enlarging a machine table of a machine tool has a rectangular table plate having an end face which can be attached to an edge of the machine table via a retaining device. The retaining device includes a supporting strip which can be fixed to the machine table edge and bears against the latter essentially over the entire length of the supporting strip. Two cap screws project from the supporting strip. Two suspension slots are defined on an underside of the table plate. The suspension slots are open at the bottom for receiving the cap screws in a positive-locking engagement.

Abstract: A portable beach/outdoor table includes a table top adapted to be removably mounted onto the top end of a support pole. An auger is attached to and projects vertically from the lower end of the support pole. A diametrically-extending rod is attached to the support pole adjacent the auger. The rod functions as a wrench to aid in inserting the support pole into the ground. The rod also functions as a stabilizer for the table-mounted support pole.

Abstract: A table includes an upper flat board having the edge folded to join the edge of a lower shaped board. The lower shaped board has lower side strengthening ribs radially extending from a central connecting part. An inner rod is connected to the central connecting part from an upper threaded portion, and connected to a base member from a lower threaded portion. An outer tube is placed around the inner rod with a top abutting the central connecting part. A plastic sleeve is passed into a lower end of the outer tube with the central hole encircling the inner rod, and has a lower end flange interposed between the bottom of the outer tube and the upper side of the base member. Thus, the boards are held at an elevated position by both the inner rod and the outer tube.

Abstract: A stool comprising a seat mounted to a leg assembly. Apertures within the seat are sized to contain fasteners that mount the seat to the leg assembly. Nuts are positioned on a bottom edge of the seat to receive the fasteners. In one embodiment, the present invention is used within institutional facilities because the stool is difficult to disassemble without tools or excessive amounts of force.

Abstract: A layer cake supporting device for allowing multiple layers of cake to be vertically stacked upon each other includes a plurality of plates. Each of the plates has a peripheral edge, a top side and a bottom side. The plates each have a hole therein defined by a perimeter edge. Each of the holes extends through the top and bottom sides. Each of the peripheral edges has a different size. Each of the perimeter edges of the plates has a length substantially equal to one of the peripheral edges of another of the plates. A plurality of legs each is removably attached to a bottom side of the plates. The legs may be pressed through a top surface of the cake such that the bottom side of the plate rests on the top surface of the cake, and another layer of cake may be placed on the plate.

Abstract: A system for sturdily joining one or more supporting members to a solid wood surface, such as a table top or raised panel (e.g. a panel used for constructing a door), while minimizing distortion to the table top or door panel, is provided. Such structural assemblies producible in ready-to-assemble format are also provided. Brackets are rigidly connected to the supporting members or structure, but are each connected to the solid wood surface in two ways: (1) with a pin connection, which prevents translation in one or more directions and may prevent separation, and (2) with one or more sliding connections, which prevent separation but allow the solid wood surface to expand or contract freely in a direction perpendicular to that of the wood grain 0n the solid wood surface. The structural assembly produced with the resulting partially restrained connection is sturdy, yet permits the solid wood surface to remain free from distortion when it is subjected to changes in environment.

Abstract: A furniture system is which disclosed comprises a first and second structures 2, 5 each having a horizontal member 3, 6 and a number of vertical members 4, 7 that support the first horizontal member 3, 6. A releasable connection device 10 is included for each of the structures 2, 5. Each releasable connection device 10 has an attachment portion 15 configured to engage to one of the support members 4, 7 of one of the structures 2, 5. The connection device 10 further comprises an elongated connection portion 24 that projects from the attachment portion 15. A female fastener 30 is defined on a surface 29 of the connection portion 20, and a male fastener 40 projects from the surface 29 adjacent the female fastener 30. The male and female fasteners 40, 30 are snap engageable with respective female and male fastener 30, 40 of the other of the releasable connection device 10 engaged to one of the support members of the other of the structures.

Abstract: A decorator table kit includes a table top and a plurality of table legs, each attached by a molded bracket that is bonded to the underside of the table top. The bracket includes an angled socket for reception of a threaded end segment of a table leg and is secured through a baseplate to the table underside; a support shoulder or one or more ribs extend from the outer circumference of the socket to the baseplate. Kits with three or four legs are preferred.

Abstract: A composite leg assembly for an article of furniture, in particular a desk or other work table, consists of a plurality, typically three, elongate, laterally spaced, structural members, conveniently of run-of-the-mill metal tubing, interconnected at each of the upper and lower ends by a terminal member. At least one, and usually a plurality of non-structural extrusions are supported by the structural members to define a facade which substantially envelopes and obscures the structural members to form an apparently robust and substantial leg assembly. Various additional features and furniture applications are also described.

Abstract: An adjustable storage rack system includes at least two shelf assemblies arranged generally parallel to each other in a step-like configuration such that the shelf assemblies are at least partially overlapping, stackable supports for supporting the shelf assemblies and allowing the height of the shelf assemblies to be varied, and connectors for connecting the shelf assemblies. Each shelf assembly includes a pair of slidably connected horizontal members which allow the width of the shelf assemblies to be adjusted and each horizontal member further includes a molded end portion containing a plurality of bore holes which allow the amount of overlap between the shelf assemblies to be adjusted, thereby allowing the depth of the rack to be adjusted.

Abstract: A bar rail comfort tray that includes a flat rectangular-shaped tray portion, a pair of short front legs, and a pair of long rear legs. The flat rectangular-shaped tray portion has a pair of skewed front corners and a pair of skewed rear corners. Each of the pair of short front legs extend downwardly from each of the pair of skewed front corners of the flat rectangular-shaped tray portion and have a shaped free end. Each of the pair of long rear legs extend downwardly from each of the pair of skewed rear corners of the flat rectangular-shaped tray portion and have a flat free end.

Abstract: A dismantleable standing table with a table top plate, a supporting construction on which the table top plate rests, and with a base support. The standing table has three parts, which are screwed to each other via screw connections which are detachable by hand without tools. There is a first top part comprising the table top plate, and a second center part comprising the supporting construction for the table top plate, this part includes a supporting inner tube which is concentrically received within an outer standing tube surrounding the inner tube. Furthermore, the standing table has a third bottom part including the base plate and possibly a step ring, this bottom part being connectable with the bottom end of the second part. For the screw connection among the three parts, it is possible to arrange, for example, top and bottom centering rings in the outer standing tube, such top and bottom rings each receive a threaded ring which is screwed to an outside thread of the inner tube.

Abstract: A leg support assembly for a table includes a leg support member, which receives and retains a table leg, and a connector which is attachable to the underside of a table top. The support member has a plurality of plugs which are receivable in sockets provided in the connector plate. When the connector plates are fastened to the corners of two abutting table tops, the leg support member can be mated with two connector plates thereby spanning the joint between the tables and providing support for a single leg. Thereby, the duplication of legs at the table joint is eliminated.

Abstract: A table includes a table top made of a light weight core covered with a washable coating or liner. The liner extends beyond the edges of the core to define a channel which receives finishing pieces which provide the table edge with a curved surface. A metal framework is received in channels in the bottom of the table surface. Leg receiving bosses are fixed to the framework. The table's legs are threadably secured to the table top via the bosses. This provides a table which is light weight and which may be shipped flat.

Abstract: A connector which is convenient for use in connecting a cross board, a rod member to a vertical surface formed by a frame board, a wall. In a vertical section of the connector, in a longitudinal direction as an axial direction thereof, the connector is in the shape of a rectangle, a trapezoid, or a pentagon which is inclined on one side of an upper surface thereof. In a transverse direction, orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, the connector is formed generally in a wedge shape whose tip faces up. The bottom of the connector is in the shape of a trapezoid. A through-hole which permits insertion therein of a fixing member such as a screw or the like is formed in an axis portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the connector in a position eccentric to the axis portion.

Abstract: A game cabinet is supported on legs that are provided with apertures for receiving fasteners such as bolts. The bolts engage mating receptacles formed on the game cabinet. The game cabinet is provided with a greater number of mating receptacles than the legs are provided with holes. Thus, the position of the legs relative to the game cabinet can be changed by aligning the holes with different receptacles thereby to adjust the height of the game.

Abstract: An article of furniture comprises a plurality of brackets which attach to an underside of a platform and which provide for attachment of upper ends of a plurality of legs. Each bracket has a shorter support and a longer support. Each support has an end and an aperture therethrough. Each bracket has a slot having one end in the aperture of the shorter support and another end in the aperture of the longer support. A threaded fastener extends through the slot of each of the brackets and is slidably movable between the end of the slot in the shorter support and the end of the slot in the longer support. The fastener engages with the upper end of one of the legs to selectively secure the leg to one of the supports.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a portable bench which finds particular application in the automotive field. The bench is comprised of a main body for supporting a pair of opposed drawers in sliding relationship to one another. When the drawers are in a closed position, they are concealed within the main body. A support assembly is removably attached to the front of each of the drawers. In use, the bench is oriented at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The drawers are slid outward from the main body to permit the support assemblies to engage the respective opposite fenders of the vehicle. Tools, parts and related materials may be rested upon the main body which can be slid from one extremity of the bench to the other. Items placed in the drawers during use of the bench may be temporarily stored therein when the bench is removed from the vehicle and the drawers closed.

Abstract: This saw buck structure is compact and light in weight. Primarily, it consists of a hollow rectangular frame having four legs stored within it when not in use, and a handle is provided on one of the sides of the frame, so as to easily carry the structure when not in use. A pair of studs receiving nuts and wing nuts are provided, which secures the legs in the confines of the frame when the structure is not in use, and the fasteners also serve to support the frame in horizontal position for use, when the legs are placed in pairs within each end of the frame.

Abstract: A table leg mount for attaching a table leg to a table top includes a mounting member which has an integrally formed screw shank. The mounting member is attached to the table top by a mounting plate and projects into a hollow portion on the upper end of the table leg. The screw shank passes through a hole in a resilient gripping member and engages a threaded portion on the table leg. Tightening the table leg onto the mounting member forces the gripping member to bear against a conical portion on the mounting member and to also bear against the inside of the hollow portion of the table leg thereby creating a rigid connection between the table leg, the mounting member and the table top.
