Patent number: 9630742Abstract: A corrugated paperboard pallet is produced from two flat blanks which comprise a pallet top and a pallet bottom. The two blanks are each folded to produce only two parallel vertically extending double thickness ribs, three horizontal panels, two vertical side walls and two horizontal flaps. The ribs of the pallet top and pallet bottom lock each other from opening in the center of the pallet by intersecting perpendicularly with notches in the ribs. The horizontal flaps lock the ribs from opening at the edges of the pallet by intersecting perpendicularly with notches, and the vertical sidewalls include vertical flaps that open inward defining fork passages whereby the vertical flaps lock said horizontal flaps from opening.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2013Date of Patent: April 25, 2017Assignee: Lifdek CorporationInventors: Douglas A. Olvey, James L. Sketo, Sean G. Gumbert, Joseph J. Danko, Christopher W. Gabrys

Patent number: 9561637Abstract: A panel structure having a low-density core that can withstanding loads normal to a first primary surface, and a first facing of high-density sheet material that can extend along the first primary surface. The high-density sheet material can be laminated on the core such that the laminated core and facing cooperatively resist bending loads and loads along the primary surface. The first facing can extend from the first primary surface on a side of the core along a secondary surface, which can be non-parallel to the first primary surface. The first facing can bend along a score line between the first primary surface and the secondary surface.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2013Date of Patent: February 7, 2017Assignee: Hexacomb CorporationInventors: Lawrence James French, Robert Edward Jaegers, Scott David Daniel

Patent number: 9395034Abstract: An equipment pad includes a base and a plurality of riser portions. The base includes a base surface that extends laterally outward and a base opening formed completely through the base surface. Each riser portion includes a top surface, a side wall, and an interior. The top surface is substantially level and continuous. The side wall tapers inward and extends upward from the base surface, elevating the top surface portion above the base surface. The interior, defined between the top surface and the side wall, is substantially hollow. The riser portions together define a single, continuous riser, at least one of the riser portions forming an angle with reference to an adjacent riser portion such that the riser includes at least one turn. The riser top surfaces together define a substantially level support surface for receiving the equipment unit, and the riser interiors align with the base opening so that the equipment pad is stackable.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2011Date of Patent: July 19, 2016Assignee: J.F.R. Patent number: 9382036Abstract: Disclosed is an ecological pallet with two semi-circular support structures, each an elongated arch-shaped structure, with openings located at equidistant distances on one of the sides of each of the semi-circular support structures. The semi-circular support structures are similar and connected to each other by a fabric web. The fabric web is fixed through parallel opening lines to each of the support structures by: one or more first and second double male anchor type member with pins, extending on both sides of the double male anchoring members keeping between the pins the same equidistant distances to each other that keep the openings of the semi-circular support structures; and one or more first and second female anchoring members with equidistant openings keeping between the openings the same equidistant distances to each other that keep the openings of the semi-circular support structures.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2013Date of Patent: July 5, 2016Assignee: MAC PALLET S.A.Inventors: Jorge A. Patent number: RE46104Abstract: A method of making a sandwich-type composite panel having a living hinge from a stack of material is provided. The stack includes first and second reinforced thermoplastic skins heated to a softening temperature and a thermoplastic cellular core disposed between the skins. The first skin is stretchable when heated to the softening temperature. A pressure is applied to the stack after the step of heating to form the composite panel. A portion of the composite panel is crushed at a predetermined location simultaneously with the step of applying to locally compact and separate the cellular core at the predetermined location to form two side portions of the panel and a crushed portion of the panel between the two side portions. The first skin stretches during the step of crushing while remaining intact between the two side portions. The skins bond together at the predetermined location to form the living hinge.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2015Date of Patent: August 16, 2016Assignee: GLOBAL IP HOLDINGS, LLCInventors: Darius J.
