Horizontally Adjustable Patents (Class 108/61)
  • Patent number: 4346806
Abstract: A shelf organizer comprising a series of wires, the ends of which extend downwardly perpendicular to the length of the wires and are received into edge pockets of sheets of corrugated plastic material. When the sheets of plastic material are secured to the front and rear edges of a shelf, the spaced wires form columns within which shelf displayed objects may be placed and thereby organized into spaced columns.

  • Patent number: 4336759
Abstract: An article display stand has an elongated upright support having a pluraity of recesses which are spaced from one another in the direction of elongation of the support, and an article supporting element mountable on the support in any of a plurality of positions and having a projection which is detachably engageable with the recess of the support. When the projection of the article supporting element engages in the respective recess of the support, the article supporting element is fixed in a respective one of the positions. The recesses may be arranged in rows which are spaced from one another in the circumferential direction of the support, and the article supporting element may have several projections each engageable in the recesses of the respective row. The article supporting element may have a plurality of upright walls extending tangentially relative to a central opening through which the support extends and bounding a plurality of compartments.

  • Patent number: 4327838
Abstract: A clip-on book end which includes a clip-on base portion connected at an offset location to the bottom corner of a book support portion with the two portions formed as a one-piece molded plastic unit. The clip-on base portion has a resilient clip section opposite and in spaced relation to a bottom surface of the support defining a shelf-receiving passage with an opening at one end through which the end portion of a bookshelf is passed and received with the resilient clip section spreading apart to accommodate shelves of different thicknesses. The clip section has a gripping surface opposite a surface extending along the bottom of the support portion which is constructed and arranged such that laterally directed side loads on the book support portion, as would occur with a tipped row of books, tend to bind the base portion to the bookshelf and maintain the book end in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 4191299
Abstract: A partition for segregating merchandise on perforated shelving includes an elongated planar body member with a flange extending along one elongated edge thereof which terminates at each end in tongues extending parallel to the elongated body. The partition is integrally molded from flexible yet stiff material such that the tongues may be deflected downward to insert the same in spaced perforations in the shelving where they bear against the underside of the shelving to secure the resilient partition in an upright position. Alternatively, the tongues may extend from spaced projections extending from the elongated edge near the two ends of the partition and one of the projections may be provided with conventional undercut hooks for engaging the perforation while the resilient tongues on the projections at the opposite end of the partition secure it in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 4190167
Abstract: A wire divider for installation on a shelf, between the front and rear rows of holes therein, which can be installed on a variety of shelves with slightly different spacings between their front and rear holes, utilizing a divider construction which enables low cost production and reliable installation. The divider includes a plurality of wires forming a gate, including a heavy outer wire extending in a closed path with overlapping ends extending parallel to one another, and a foot which slides along the parallel wire portions and has hooks for reception in the shelf holes.

  • Patent number: 4181229
Abstract: A partition for separating merchandise or allocating space on perforated shelving includes an elongated planar body member and a pair of spaced feet extending laterally from one elongated edge of the body member. The integrally molded partition is made of a resilient yet stiff material such that the planar body member may be twisted about a longitudinal axis to insert first one and then the other of the feet into spaced perforations in the shelving. When the twist is released the partition is held firmly on the shelving in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 4099711
Abstract: A divider assembly for dividing adjacent stacks of sheets during stacking in a stacker mechanism including a tray, mechanism for moving the tray from a sheet receiving position to a sheet discharging position, and a pusher for discharging sheets from the tray in its sheet discharging position. The divider itself is positionable on the tray to separte sheets into separate adjacent stacks, and includes a relatively thin central core, with a plurality of flexible feet secured to the core and having free ends extending below the lower edge of the core. The divider also includes a hinge interconnecting the pair of flexible feet so that the feet with the hinge may be collapsed inwardly when the divider is withdrawn from between the adjacent stacks, thereby permitting easy withdrawal of the divider from between the stacks.
