  • Patent number: 5790996
Abstract: An examination table for supporting a patient in a medical examination apparatus has a positioning plate and a floor stand, the positioning plate being adjustable in height and able to be tilted. The examination table is very simple and space-saving in construction, but still allows a tilting of the positioning plate into a vertical position, by virtue of the floor stand having a curved girder which has a base end at the floor fastened rotatably about a horizontal shaft, and the positioning plate is provided with a mount that is movably attached to the girder so that the mount with the positioning plate can be moved along the longitudinal direction of the girder.

  • Patent number: 5746660
Abstract: A tilt and roll support for pool tables and other game tables having a frame attached to the underside of the table. The opposite ends of the frame have pivot shafts which are axially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the table. Support assemblies at the ends of the table are pivotally about the pivot shafts so the table may be rotated between a vertical stored position and a horizontal use position. The lower portion of the support assemblies are retractable against the bottom of the table for storage and may be extended to a vertical position. The lower portion of the support assemblies are on rollers or casters and are extendible so the weight of the table may be transferred to the tilt and roll supports for movement and storage. When the table is in use, the table is supported on conventional legs.

  • Patent number: 5671091
Abstract: An improved computer graphic work station is disclosed of the type that includes a digitizer for allowing an artist or other user to input a drawing into a computer, and an imaging device to produce an image of the drawing as it is being drawn. A beam splitter reflects at least a portion of the produced image to the eye of the user. The position and orientation of the beam splitter may be varied by a user relative to the imaging device in order to allow the user to align the workstation by causing the reflected image to appear, in the user's eye, to be substantially coincident with the drawing. Once aligned, the user may adjust the position and orientation of the digitizing surface without upsetting the alignment.

  • Patent number: 5452951
Abstract: An apparatus for rack mounting electronic components includes a frame structure defining a storage compartment having a front access opening and a pair of rack rails pivotally mounted to opposite sides of the frame structure for movement between a retracted position in which the rack rails lie entirely within the frame structure and an extended position in which the rack rails project out from the frame structure. Connected between the rack rails and the sides of the frame structure are slide members which are capable of locking the rack rails at the extended position and at a number of discrete angular positions intermediate the extended and retracted positions. With electronic components mounted to the rack rails, pivoting the rack rails from the retracted position to the extended position will provide access to the rear panels of the these components to facilitate the completion of electrical interconnections and maintenance and repair procedures.
