Patent number: 4735394Abstract: The inclination adjusting arrangement is applied to a keyboard having a base structure in which a plurality of keys is mounted. The keyboard is provided in its lower portion with fixed front support feet and rear support feet. The rear feet can project by varying amounts from the bottom of the base structure in such a way that the angle of inclination of the plane of the keys is variable with respect to the desk top. For the purposes of adjusting the degree of projection, the rear feet are pivoted and movable along their own axis by means of a slot which co-operates with a fixed pivot pin on the base structure. Each rear foot comprises a positioning tooth which is disposed opposite a support surface and which is capable of selectively engaging with a seat of a series of seats of the base structure. Resilient means which co-operate with the pin hold the positioning tooth engaged with one of the seats.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1986Date of Patent: April 5, 1988Assignee: Ing. C. Patent number: 4693444Abstract: A height adjust mechanism which may be advantageously used to set a keyboard to a predetermined number of angles with respect to a support surface upon which the keyboard sits. The apparatus is integral with the keyboard base and includes an adjustment foot member having a ratchet surface with four detents therein. The foot member is pivotally mounted within the keyboard base and extends downward through a hole in the keyboard base. An adjustment lever is also pivotally mounted within the keyboard base and includes a pawl which engages one of the detents of the adjustment foot member. A single spring is connected to the adjustment foot and to the adjustment lever. This spring biases the adjustment foot in a downward direction, while at the same time biasing the adjustment lever so that the pawl positively engages one of the detents of the ratchet surface.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1985Date of Patent: September 15, 1987Assignee: Intergraph CorporationInventors: Glenn T. Patent number: 4660817Abstract: A multi-step control apparatus is provided for raising and lowering a patient treatment table in response to predetermined successive motions of the foot of an operator. An operating rod mounted transversely of the table has a foot pedal on each end thereof and is biased to a mid position both longitudinally and rotationally. In response to inward pressure on either foot pedal a timing cycle is initiated during which the doctor may then initiate a raising or lowering cycle for the table by stepping on one side or the other of the foot pedal and rotating the operating rod out of a neutral rotational position. However, a raising or lowering cycle cannot be initiated without first moving the operating rod inwardly to initiate the timing cycle so that accidental or inadvertent raising or lowering of the table by simply rotating the foot pedal is prevented.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 1985Date of Patent: April 28, 1987Assignee: Standex InternationalInventor: Frank P. Patent number: 4524472Abstract: A coffin bed adjusting apparatus for providing both elevation and tilt adjustments to a coffin bed in a burial casket. The bed frame is connected to a bed support member which is pivotally mounted to an elevating support member. The elevating support member is threadedly mounted on a threaded shaft, the rotation of which adjusts the vertical height of the bed. A rack is slidably mounted on a threaded shaft, the rotation of which adjusts the vertical height of the bed. A rack is slidably mounted to the elevating support member, and is engaged to a pinion which is also mounted to the elevating support member. The rotation of the pinion drives the rack, which translates the rotating movement into a pivoting of the bed support member thereby causing a desired tilt of the casket bed frame. This pivoting is achieved by the interaction of a slot in the bed support member and an arm on the rack. The pinion which moves the rack is rotated by a second shaft.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1983Date of Patent: June 25, 1985Inventor: Robert K. Foust

Patent number: 4462579Abstract: A tilting table for machining works is of the worm and worm wheel type incorporating a hydraulic servomechanism. A displacement of a stylus operating lever effected by the drive worm shaft moves the servocontrol valve out of its neutral position, thereby causing a tilting motion of the table in a desired direction via a hydraulic power unit of the mechanism. Due to a linkage connection between the table and the lever, the movement of the table always follows the lever so as to compensate the initial displacement, resulting in light and accurate positioning of the inclined table.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1982Date of Patent: July 31, 1984Assignee: Tsudakoma Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Eishin Satake

Patent number: 4271830Abstract: The chiropractic table of the present invention includes a base frame, an intermediate frame above the base frame, and a table frame above the intermediate frame. A plurality of independently movable support pieces are mounted to the table frame and extend above the table frame to provide a support surface for the patient. The table may be tilted about a horizontal axis from a horizontal position to a near vertical position. It may also be elevated or lowered when in its horizontal position. Patent number: 4167434Abstract: A universal drapery making machine having a horizontal working table for handling a drapery panel that has its bottom edge and its two side edges hemmed at prior stations, and an unfinished top edge of the drapery. The operator is able to attach the bottom edge of the drapery panel face down to a transverse bar that is movably supported over the top planar surface of the table. Motive means moves the bar toward the rear edge of the table, and the panel is then measured to size, and the top edge of the drape is simultaneously cut and a stiffening tape such as buckram with its own adhesive strip is attached along the cut edge. Then this stiffened edge is manually folded over twice and stapled temporarily in place so the drapery may be removed to a later station for forming the pleats in this header. The table is pivotally supported by a transverse pivotal support means.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1978Date of Patent: September 11, 1979Inventor: Ronald W. Morgan
