Abstract: A plastic molded lip structure may extend along a perimeter of a planar element and may include an outer wall, an inner wall, structural portions, and protruded features. The outer wall may extend in a normal direction from the planar element. The inner wall may be disposed in an inward direction relative to the outer wall. The structural portions may be disposed along structural sections of the perimeter and may include first portions of the inner wall and of the outer wall. The first portions may be disposed parallel to the inner wall and separated from the first portions by a first distance along the structural sections. The protruded features may be interposed between two structural portions and an inner wall may be separated from second portions of the outer wall by a second distance that is greater than the first distance.

Abstract: In a wall-mounted shelving and/or storage system, vertical standards are mounted to a wall using a plurality of individual cleats arranged in vertical columns and horizontal rows. The width of each cleat is smaller than the width of the standard, so that it can be hidden within the standard when mounted. Formed on the back of each vertical standard are a plurality of transverse edges at predefined intervals, in known spatial relationships with bracket connection points, for cooperating with the cleats to properly position and orient the standards at the correct height with respect to each other.

Abstract: A nestable pallet includes a deck supported by hollow legs. Each hollow leg has an upper opening for receiving part of a corresponding leg of another pallet when the pallets are stacked. A horizontal cross-sectional shape of at least one, and preferably all, of the hollow legs corresponds to the union of at least two oblong shapes intersecting orthogonally, each oblong shape having an aspect ratio greater than 2:1. The legs preferably have T-shaped or H-shaped cross-sectional shapes, and may be deployed to provide support for reinforcing beams extending through the deck.

The lower portion includes a shelf that separates the opening in the upper portion from the lower portion. The shelf provides support to a bottom surface of a platform support leg from an identical platform when stacked thereon. A pair of extensions extend outwards from a bottom surface of the lower portion, with the opening in the upper portion providing clearance for the pair of extensions on the platform support leg of the identical platform when stacked thereon.

Abstract: A nesting equipment support pad is disclosed, in particular an outdoor air conditioner compressor pad. The pad comprises a parallelogram upper surface which contacts the compressor and descending side walls from each edge of the parallelogram upper surface. Two side walls include a notch to accommodate a matching notch of another identical support pad when placed in a nesting arrangement. These notched corners are at diagonally opposing corners of each pad permitting the nesting arrangements. Additional, support rib members and protrusions are located within the cavity formed by the four side walls to provide strength and rigidity. These rib members and protrusions are placed in an offset manner to permit the nesting arrangement without interference with the mating pad.

For example, the tabletop may include a frame receiving portion and a frame connecting structure with an undercut may be disposed in the frame receiving portion. A portion of the frame may contact or engage the frame connecting structure, such as the undercut, when the frame is connected to the tabletop. In an exemplary embodiment, a first side of the frame receiving portion may include a first frame connecting portion with an undercut and a second side of the frame receiving portion may include a second frame connecting portion with an undercut. The first frame connecting portion with an undercut may be disposed on an opposing surface from the second frame connecting portion with an undercut.

A first pivotal support brace includes a distal end and a proximal end attached to the first support pedestal. A second pivotal support brace includes a distal end and a proximal end attached to the second support pedestal. In addition, the support pedestals may comprise at least one support leg, and each support leg of the first and second support pedestals may be laterally offset from each other so as to permit an offset displacement of the support legs when the support pedestals are disposed in a collapsed position.

Abstract: A pallet used for stowing and transporting items for shipping. The pallet design of the present invention includes a top deck, a bottom skid, and several posts for providing support between the top deck and bottom skid. The posts are integrated with either the top deck or bottom skid. Within each pallet post is a steel tube reinforcement that is overmolded directly into the bottom skid, or is assembled after the pallet post is molded. The supports, which are typically hollow posts, are molded onto either the top deck or bottom skid, and a thermoplastic weld or adhesive joint is applied to the posts to complete the assembly. The palled having the integrated posts and reinforcements provides an economical approach of reinforcing pallet posts to absorb tow fork impact.

Abstract: The plastic pallet structure includes a supporting base and loading plates. The supporting base includes first bases and second bases. Each first base includes a first base body, first opening clamping portions and first arch bridge portions. The first opening clamping portions and the first arch bridge portions are respectively disposed on two first long side edges of the first base body. Each second base includes a second base body, second opening clamping portions and second arch bridge portions. The second opening clamping portions and the second arch bridge portions are disposed on a second long side edge of the second base body. When the loading plates load goods, forks of a forklift are inserted in to the second bases, so that the forks of the forklift are abutted against the second arch bridge portions without contacting with the loading plates to lift the goods up.

Abstract: The present invention provides a slipsheet and/or divider sheet and a method for making the same, the sheet having an imprint or an embossing that provides a raised planar surface. The raised planar surface preferably comprises a plurality of ridges, crowns or crests, which are preferably arranged in a pattern throughout an upper surface of the sheet. To make the sheet, a die can be etched to have protuberances or bumps, and the die is preferably pressed into a sheet of pliable thermoplastic material. The sheet thus made has a plurality of indentation formed by the protuberances or bumps on the die, and the sheet has a planar outer surface comprising a plurality of ridges, crowns and crests between the indentations.

Abstract: A pallet is formed from a thermoplastic material of the polyolefin type, from two pieces, base and deck, that can be coupled to each other with fasteners therebetween. The base and deck are provided with posts each projecting in a direction towards the other and able to be coupled to each other in order to form hollow columns. The posts projecting from the base form the outer wall of a plurality of columns, and the posts projecting from the deck are located at the interior of the columns, forming the inner wall thereof and thus constituting a hollow passage between the outer and inner walls of the columns. The hollow space is filled up with a foamed material to provide a greater impact resistance and resistance to disassembly under normal conditions of operation. The pallet can be integrally recycled without the need to separate the components thereof.

Abstract: A hollow upper deck panel for a plastic pallet has a solid top surface and is produced by forming a tubular hot plastic parison and directing the parison between blow mold sections to form upper and lower sheets for the deck panel. The lower sheet is blow molded by pressured air within the parison into a mold section to form spaced inverted U-shaped open ribs projecting upwardly and with top portions fused to the upper sheet. The upper sheet is blow molded by the air around retractable blades to form spaced closed double wall ribs projecting downwardly between the open ribs and have bottom portions fused to the lower sheet. The closed double wall ribs extend transversely to the open ribs and have end portions fused to the open ribs. The support structure for the upper deck panel defines spaces for receiving parallel spaced forks of a forklift truck.

The longitudinal supports are made of a wear-resistant and bending-resistant semi-finished product and are form-fittingly and exchangeably connected to the load bearing bridges. The longitudinal supports have in cross-section an area with a circular ring-shaped cross-section. The load bearing bridges have legs. Snap-on-connectors with a circular segment-shaped cross-section are formed on the legs. The longitudinal supports are supported with the circular ring-shaped cross-section rotatably about an axis of rotation and exchangeably in the snap-on connectors, respectively. The axis of rotation extends in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the longitudinal supports.

Abstract: A reinforced plastic pallet includes a modular platform having top and bottom major walls which respectively have left and right stacked and held segments confronting each other. The stacked and held segments respectively have depression and supported regions. A spacer extends downwardly from each of the supported regions to have a base region confronting the corresponding depression region. A hollow strut extends upwardly from the base region through the corresponding depression region, and has an open end joining with the corresponding depression region. With the hollow struts, the structural strength of the spacers can be increased so as to prevent deformation thereof when the plastic pallet is subjected to a heavy load.

Each base includes a basic portion, the basic portion includes an opening clamping portion, an arch bridge, an extension portion, an arch bridge portion, first and second supporting portions, the complete base is formed by means of plastic pre-casting and by coupling a mesh-typed sheet body to every section. The opening clamping portion is disposed with a slide-in slot. To increase the bearing capacity thereof a space for accepting a metal bar may be disposed above each opening clamping portion. The combination plastic pallet with a backbone is formed after the bases are coupled together as such. Furthermore, since the bases are combined, one single base can be replaced if damaged.

The closed double wall ribs extend transversely or perpendicular to the open ribs, and the ribs reinforce the deck panel in all directions. Support structure for the upper deck panel is also formed of plastics material and defines spaces for receiving parallel spaced forks of a forklift truck.

The transfer plate is intended to be moved, together with cargo units, into the cargo space and back again, the cargo units remaining in the cargo space. Rolling elements are arranged, over at least part of the length of the transfer plate, on the side of it facing the cargo units to permit movement between the transfer plate and the cargo units. The transfer plate is mainly of plastic and the thickness of the structure formed by the transfer plate and the rolling elements are less than 70 millimeters. The invention also relates to a method for loading a cargo space.

Abstract: A pallet assembly includes an upper deck and a lower deck spaced by a plurality of columns. The weight of the pallet is reduced without significant reduction in strength by providing only a single cross beam in each of the upper and lower reinforcement members and orienting them perpendicular to one another. The reinforcement members are minimized for weight reduction and for improved performance in heat tests. The peripheral rail of the upper reinforcement member is reduced such that it rests on only an inwardly open recess on an inner corner of each of the corner columns. This reduces the size and weight of the upper reinforcement member, while still providing support to the upper deck. Additionally, the peripheral rails of both the upper and lower decks are reduced in length such that either ledge does not directly support them while the pallet is stored on a rack.

A further aspect of the present invention provides a radio frequency identification device attached to an apparatus. In still another aspect of the present invention, a communications device is incorporated into one or more sheets of a pallet or other container prior to forming. Methods of making and using a thermoformed pallet and container, having a communications device, are also provided.

The portions each comprise a support backing including an outer surface and an inner face, and a plurality of ribs extending outwardly away from said inner face. The ribs of a first grouping thereof are parallel with one another and extend across a first area of the face in a first direction, and the ribs of a second grouping thereof extend across a second area of the face in a second direction which is not parallel with said first direction.

The pallet includes a lower deck, and second joining members that project upwardly from the lower deck. The first and second joining members are coupled together to define pallet blocks joining the upper and lower decks. Each inner sleeve and post receiving cavity of the second joining members receives a corresponding post and outer sleeve of the first joining members.

Abstract: A pallet having first and second decks with at least two post assemblies extending between the first and second decks to maintain the first and second decks at a distance from one another. Each post assembly includes an outer post member including a substantially hollow body extending axially from a base connected to the first deck to a free end and an inner post member including a body extending axially from a base connected to the second deck to a free end. The inner post body free end is configured to be received in the outer post body with the inner and outer posts positioned relative to one another such that at least one of the post free ends contacts the respective opposed deck and supports the first and second decks in spaced relationship.

Advantageously, the table top may include a generally planar upper surface and a generally planar lower surface. Abstract: An easily assembled and repairable plastic shipping pallet includes two or more plastic runner rails and multiple plastic cross boards secured perpendicularly to the top and bottom of the runner rails by pins and pin receiver/retainers. The pins engage and retain the cross boards by a slide and snap-in mechanism. This construction allows for rapid and easy repair of a pallet that may become damaged. The method of assembly includes placing pairs of holes of the slats over mating pairs of pegs in the proper orientation; and sliding each slat a short distance to engage each projection in its mating recess.

Abstract: A dunnage platform is in the general shape of a rectangular slab with legs extending form one side. The dunnage platform is made from an expanded polystyrene core. A chemical combination process is used to chemically combine portion of the core proximal to its surface with high impact polystyrene. In a first of two parts of the combination process, the core is placed in a forming mold with one of its two sides and two thirds of its thickness extending therefrom. A heated sheet of high impact polystyrene is brought into contact with the portion of the core extending from the mold. In a similar manner, the other of the two sides of the core is made to extend from the forming mold for contact with a heated sheet of high impact polystyrene.

Methods and apparatus for manufacturing the load-carrying apparatus are also described. In one embodiment, the load-carrying apparatus comprises a pallet formed in two halves as two pallet elements. The plastic, rotationally moulded pallet elements form a nested configuration when stacked in the same orientation, but interlock to form a double-sided pallet when one of the pallet elements is inverted.
