Abstract: A planting system for a combine in embodiments of the present invention may have one or more of the following elements: (a) a soil opening system having one or more soil openers operably connected to one or more mounting arms operably attached to the combine, (b) a seed handling system having one or more seed dispensers with one or more seed tubes operably connected to the one or more seed dispensers and a seed reservoir adapted for housing cover crop seed, and (c) a control system having one or more actuators operably connected to one or more controllers, wherein at least one of the sets of soil openers and sets of seed dispensers is operably attached to a header of the combine.
Abstract: A power seeder may include a frame, one or more wheels, one or more blades capable of cutting into soil, an engine capable of powering the one or more blades, and a seed hopper. The seed hopper may have an opening capable of dispensing seed located forward of the one or more blades. The one or more blades may rotate in an opposite direction to a forward rotation of the one or more wheels. In some embodiments, the seeder may further include a handle for adjusting the height of the one or more blades, a plurality of interlocking teeth, and a spring. The spring may provide a load to counteract the force of gravity on the one or more blades. The aerator may also include a flap located between the opening and the one or more blades.

Abstract: A digger for facilitating the application of a material to a mushroom bed includes a feed system wherein a metering shaft is provided in the compartment or hopper for the material. The metering shaft contains sets of supply pockets which receives the material to be conveyed to distribution heads. The digger also includes a digging shaft connected to a drive shaft by improved structure.
Abstract: The process serves for the loosening of soil in the subsoil and topsoil areas and for introduction of fertilizers as well as subsoil loosening and/or for soil cultivation as well as the introduction of other additives with the use of digging tools 2, 2', and 2" by which the soil is broken up. In this case, the digging edge of digging tool 2, 2', and 2" is guided in an elliptical motion and this motion is superimposed by a straight motion, i.e., the driving motion. A cycloid is therefore produced for the digging edge. The longer axis of the ellipse in this case is directed from the soil surface into the soil in this manner and exhibits an angle to the travel direction. The additive, such as, for example, fertilizers, can be blown into the fissure forming behind tool 2.
