Abstract: A garden seeder having a seed bin; a seed wheel having a plurality of circumferentially attached seed dispensing cups; a first axle mounting the seed wheel within the seed bin for orbital movements of the seed cups through scooping and dispensing positions; a ground wheel; a second axle mounting the ground wheel upon the seed bin; a Geneva drive connecting the seed wheel to the ground wheel for translating rotation of the ground wheel to intermittent orbital motions of the seed dispensing cups through the seed scooping and seed dispensing positions; and a handle connected operatively to the seed bin.
Abstract: Improved agricultural apparatus including a three-point hitch frame for attaching to a vehicle and to a tool bar assembly. Three-point hitch frame includes L-shaped retaining members for engaging the tool bar assembly and may be substantially U-shaped. The invention is also embodied in an agricultural apparatus with a hitch frame for attaching to a vehicle and to a tool bar assembly and including a metering hopper system attached to the upper side of the hitch frame. The invention is also embodied in an improved ground contact metering wheel assembly for maintaining contact with the ground even on uneven terrain. The present invention has particular applicability as an interseeding apparatus.

Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus for sowing seed, particularly seed for reforestation, intermittently or continuously in a precise and controlled manner. The inventive apparatus includes at least one seed-magazine and at least one seed-dispensing aperture. In order to utilize the germination potential of the seed in to the cultivated soil in which the seed is sown, it is proposed in accordance with the invention that the apparatus will include at least one seed-carrier provided with means for receiving discrete seeds from the seed-magazine. The apparatus includes force-transmission means by means of which the seed-carrier is moved between a seed-receiving position and at least one seed-dispensing position, in which the seed-carrier communicated with the seed-dispensing aperture and in which seed carried by the seed-carrier is caused to fall down through the seed-dispensing aperture.
Abstract: A compact drive assembly including a flexible drive for transmitting power from a ground engaging wheel or wheels to a driven mechanism such as a seed meter on an implement. A set of cross helical spur gears are mounted in an enclosed case. The input gear is clamped to the ground engaging wheel shaft, and the output gear is fastened to a shaft which drives a flexible cable. The flexible cable is enclosed in a flexible housing and is connected to the remainder of the drive train.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fertilizer distributor attachment that is adapted to be mounted to a conventional transplanter and powered thereby through a frictional drive system that includes a friction drive wheel associated with said fertilizer distributor attachment and engageable with a furrow closing wheel assembly rotatively mounted to the transplanter and which engages the ground as the transplanter traverses a field during the transplanting operation.
Abstract: A cultivator or rotary harrow has soil working members rotatable about upwardly extending shafts journalled in a frame portion that extends transverse to the direction of travel. The front of the frame is supported by a coupling attached to a prime mover and the rear of the implement is supported by two ground wheels. One wheel is located at each lateral side of the frame portion at the rear thereof and a bracket is pivoted to the frame with rearwardly extending arms connected to the wheel axle mountings. An extensible connecting member interconnects the axle mountings to the frame above the bracket so that the wheels can be vertically displaced by shortening or lengthening the connecting members. A sowing mechanism, including a feed box, is mounted to the rear of the soil working members with delivery tubes leading to shoes. A flow control mechanism is driven by a transmission from the wheel mountings and the shoes can be raised or lowered by a linkage and control lever.
