Abstract: A cycle sewing machine comprises a main shaft and a clutch mechanism for connecting the main shaft to a driving source. The clutch mechanism has a breaking cam fixed to the main shaft. A breaking frame is movable to engage with the breaking cam to lock the main shaft at a predetermined position. A rotatable eccentric cam is synchronized with the main shaft. The machine further comprises a rocking link driven by the eccentric cam, an operative rod driven by the rocking link, a button holder driven by the operative rod to move vertically, and a thread trimming mechanism driven by the operative rod for cutting a thread. A drive control shaft rotates in synchronization with the main shaft to effect one rotation per cycle of sewing operation. The drive control shaft has a first control cam and a second control cam.
Abstract: A button-sewing machine (1) comprises a needlebar frame (6), which is suspended like a pendulum and connected to a rocking linkage (8). A button-holding clamp (5) is tiltably mounted in a stand (4), which is carried by a base plate (3), which is mounted on the machine base (2) and longitudinally displaceable relative to said machine base and longitudinally reciprocable by an actuating head (9). The latter is operatively connected to the main shaft of the machine.The machine can be used to perform several different working programs without an alteration of the machine. For this purpose the stand (4) is transversely movable relative to the baseplate (3) or the baseplate (3) is adapted to perform relative to the machine base (2) not only a longitudinal displacement but also a transverse angular movement. A coupling element (19) is provided, which is operable to selectively couple the actuating head (9) either to the baseplate (3) or to the rocking linkage (8) of the needlebar frame (6).
Abstract: In an automatic electronic sewing machine including a read only memory (ROM) and a random access memory (RAM), a needle is controlled to swing in order to shift the penetration position. In a button mode, the needle is controlled to swing to a predetermined position corresponding to one of a pair of throughholes formed in a button, and the other swing position corresponding to the other of the pair of throughholes formed in the button is variably controlled in response to the size of the button.
