Rotary Cutter Patents (Class 112/122.3)
  • Patent number: 10984024
Abstract: A mechanism is provided that implements a cognitive data processing system for automatically processing ambiguously labeled data associated with a medical image. The cognitive data processing system receives an ambiguously labeled set of training data in which the ambiguously labeled set of training data comprises portions of data and associated labels, and wherein at least one portion of data in the ambiguously labeled set of training data has a plurality of different labels that together render the portion of data ambiguously labeled. The cognitive data processing system configures an implementation of a model that comprises a loss term, a maximizing term, and a sparsity term. The cognitive data processing system processes the ambiguously labeled set of training data based on the model to identifying a mapping that minimizes a loss function and thereby train the cognitive data processing system.

  • Patent number: 7739972
Abstract: The present invention relates to a simple and inexpensive method for producing a mattress panel or quilt having corners which deviate from an orthogonal pattern. The method renders a material having two stitched seams between two sewn products that are arranged adjacently. The two stitched seams are created by a sewing device, which moves transversely to the conveying direction of the material. The material is cut between said seams by a sewing unit, located within the sewing device. Prior to or during the stitching of the seams, another device removes a sub-area comprising both sewn products, resulting in a mattress panel or quilt with corners deviating from an orthogonal pattern.

  • Patent number: 7673575
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for feeding and slitting mattress covers, quilts and other soft goods supported on a table. The apparatus has a first slitting wheel rotatable by a motor. A second slitting wheel is rotatable by the motor and contacts the first slitting wheel to provide a cutting action. The apparatus further includes a conveyor operable by the motor for conveying the soft goods past the slitting wheels, and a compression assembly having an actuator, a swing arm, and wheels for compressing the soft goods and holding the soft goods against the conveyor to preventing slippage or twisting.

  • Patent number: 6439143
Abstract: A garment portion processing assembly receives uncut material to process the material into a desired shape, such as the shape of a shirt collar, and then organize the formed material into separate stacks. The garment portion processing assembly includes a stack queuing assembly, a garment portion cutting apparatus, and a garment receiving assembly. In operation, the stack queuing assembly prepares the stacks of garment portions to be collected by the garment portion cutting apparatus to be processed. The garment portion cutting apparatus then collects the garment portions and processes the garment portions as desired by the user. The garment portion cutting apparatus includes a folding assembly for precisely folding the garment portion in an even manner, a shaping knife assembly treat is used to trim the garment portion according to the desired pattern, and a width knife assembly that makes sure the garment portion has the proper width.

  • Patent number: 6189469
Abstract: A strip matter cutting device for sewing machine is provided which is mainly employed in automatically cutting a tape or rubber sewed on the shoulders of a T-shirt. It is arranged such that the whole of a cutting part which comprises a rotary cutting blade and a tape receiving portion integrally formed with a tape pick-up portion, is shifted between a cutting action position closely adjacent to the rear of a needle location of a throat plate secured to the top surface of a sewing machine bed, and a non-action position at which the cutting part is retracted upward to the left of a sewing machine arm over the throat plate, through a rock arm which is driven to rock reciprocally by a rotary cylinder. Employment of this arrangement permits an improvement in work efficiency and a significant reduction in work burden. Even for a wide object to be sewed, it is fed freely for automatic cutting of a sewed tape or rubber, without the tape or rubber losses.
