Thread Releasing Patents (Class 112/223)
  • Patent number: 10820583
Abstract: Subject matter of the invention is a fishing line insertion aid for threading a fishing line into rod rings of a fishing rod. Creation a fishing line insertion aid of the type mentioned above by means of which a fishing line can be rapidly and easily threaded into the rod rings of the fishing rod is achieved by a substantially elongated body (110) into which a line notch (112) is embedded for fastening of the fishing line (14) in a clamping manner.

  • Patent number: 7487733
Abstract: The invention relates to the joining of fabrics made of advanced fibers for making pre-forms for composite materials. The invention provides a sewing machine needle which can be used to join fabrics by stitching with a brittle thread. The needle, according to the invention, for stitching a brittle fiber thread through at least one layer of fibrous fabric, being characterized by the head (point) thereof having an (open eye) slit proximate to the needle point for receipt and release of the brittle thread, the slit of the needle having an arc shape with a radius of curvature of not less than 1 mm, to prevent sharp bending of the brittle thread when the thread is in contact with the slit.

  • Patent number: 5934212
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved automatic sewing machine apparatus for sewing large articles, in lock-stitch or chain-stitch, employing two completely different upper and lower sewing mechanisms which are separately powered, wherein there is no continuous mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or other fixed connection between the upper and lower sewing mechanisms required. An open notched needle has a notch opening disposed near the needle end, the notch opening engages the needle thread, and carries the needle thread through the sewing material, and then leaves a loop extending through the sewing material as the notched needle raises above the sewing material. The notch opening in the needle is rethreaded during each cyclic, reciprocating actuation of the notched needle. A looper having two forked arms passes the thread loop around the bobbin case. The position of the open notched needle determines the timing of the looper actuation. The open notched needle position is sensed through the sewing material.

  • Patent number: 4281609
Abstract: A lockstitch sewing machine utilizing a needle looper to extend upwardly through a work material to grasp an upper thread and pull it downwardly through the work material to a looptaker which casts the upper thread about a lower thread in order to form a lockstitch. When the needle looper is in an upper position to catch an upper thread, a hook needle is exposed and thread is deflected into the hook thereof. As the needle looper is retracted to a depressed position the hook needle is moved to a guard position so as to retain the upper thread therein during transit. When the needle looper is at its lower position, the hook is again exposed to release its thread to a looptaker for concatenation with a lower thread.
