Embroidering And Darning Patents (Class 112/236)
  • Patent number: 12215450
Abstract: In a sewing machine, a feed dog feeds a workpiece placed on a throat plate. A presser bar has a lower end portion on which a presser foot is mountable. A presser bar spring urges the presser bar downward. During a first prescribed period of time in which a top of the feed dog is above a top surface of the throat plate, an adjustment part of an adjusting mechanism is spaced apart from a restricting part of the adjusting mechanism to cause an urging force of the presser bar spring to be transmitted to the presser foot. During a second prescribed period of time in which the top of the feed dog is beneath the top surface of the throat plate, the adjustment part is in contact with the restricting part to prevent the urging force of the presser bar spring from being transmitted to the presser foot.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an embroidery cloth presser which prevents a needle thread from being sandwiched between the embroidery cloth presser and a cloth to allow an embroidery frame to move smoothly and which also prevents inappropriate draw-in of the needle thread, that is, prevents a cross-over thread of the needle thread resulting from long-distance movement of the embroidery frame from remaining on an embroidery surface. An embroidery cloth presser is installed on a presser bar of a sewing machine to press a cloth to be embroidered and which includes a projection provided on a bottom surface of the cloth presser which contacts the cloth around a needle and forming, between the cloth presser and the cloth, a gap through which a needle thread passes.

  • Patent number: 7717050
Abstract: A presser foot drive structure of an embroidery machine, by which a vertically movable presser foot for preventing a sheet of cloth to be sewn from rising in a sewing operation is vertically moved inside a sewing head. The presser foot drive structure includes a presser foot drive holder, which is vertically slidable and is mounted on the outer circumference of a needle bar, which is vertically driven; a presser foot drive shaft, which is disposed parallel to the needle bar via the presser foot drive holder; and the presser foot, which is disposed at the lower end of the presser foot drive shaft and vertically reciprocates. It is possible to reduce the stroke of a presser foot so that it is smaller than that of a needle bar, enhance the supporting force for a needle bar, and reduce the shaking of a presser foot.

  • Patent number: 7571689
Abstract: A clutch structure for a presser foot in an embroidery sewing machine is provided. The clutch structure includes a guide member, to which the presser foot drive link is rotatably connected, and through which the needle bar guide shaft passes, a spring connecting member mounted on the outer circumference of the needle bar guide shaft and inside the guide member, a resilient member mounted on the outer periphery of the spring connecting member, and a pivot member mounted inside the guide member so as to be pivotable around the needle bar guide shaft within a certain angular range by the height adjusting mechanism and the resilient member. Upon a head-interval adjusting operation, the unnecessary driving of the presser foot is prevented, so that the occurrence of vibrations and noise as well as the unnecessary wear of a needle bar, a presser foot support, and a presser foot holder can be prevented.
