    Abstract: A door barrier assembly for a vehicle can include a flexible barrier member such as a net, flexible plastic screen, or other barrier device located within an opening in the vehicle frame. The vehicle frame can include a front pillar member connected to a longitudinally extending roll cage member that extends in a longitudinal rearward direction of the vehicle from a top end of the front pillar member. The front pillar member can also be connected to a transverse roll cage member. The flexible barrier member can include an upper forward portion and a connector at the upper forward portion releasably attached to one of the transverse roll cage member and the longitudinally extending roll cage member at a location between the front pillar member and the longitudinally extending roll cage member.

A retention mechanism is incorporated in the cutter device for retaining an end portion of the sewing material, at a position closer to the guide than the predetermined cutting position and in interlocked relation to cutting, by the cutter device, of the sewing material. Thus, upon restart of sewing of the sewing material, the retention mechanism retains an end portion of the sewing material.

Upon a rollover event during operation of a vehicle, to which the net structure is attached, with the net structure in a lowered, closed configuration, an operator of the vehicle may impact the net structure, causing the net structure to deflect outwardly. This outward deflection of the net structure may cause the overload indicator to become visible, which provides an indication to an operator or other person associated with the vehicle that the structural integrity of the net structure has been compromised, such that replacement of the net structure may be warranted.

    Abstract: A method of attaching a waistband to a garment is disclosed which comprises providing a strip (26) of waistband fabric having outer portions more extensible than the centre section, and presenting the fabric to a sewing machine through a folder (18) for attachment to a garment, characterized in that the folder is angled to the sewing zone (16) whereby to force the outer sections of the waistband strip to proceed faster than the central section resulting in a curve being formed during attachment to the garment. Since the strip does not have a shape until it is treated in accordance with the invention, it may be provided on a reel for continuous operation. Moreover, the angle at which the folder presents the waistband to the sewing zone can be altered whereby to give shapes that are not of constant curvature.

    Abstract: A conduit sleeve structure for use with fiber optic cables, coaxial cables and the like includes a pair of adjacent strip-shaped layers of flexible material that are joined along their longitudinal edges to define a channel through which the cable can extend longitudinally through the innerduct structure between the layers. The adjacent layers have differing widths between their longitudinal edges, whereby the wider layer bulges away from the narrower layer to impart an open configuration to the channel. It has been found that the conduit sleeve structure may be manufactured more efficiently and inexpensively if multiple sheets and pull cords are stacked and arranged in such a way that multiple conduit sleeve structures may be manufactured simultaneously in a parallel arrangement. The method of manufacturing the conduit sleeve structures includes feeding several stacked sheets through a folding machine or mechanism, a stitching machine, and then a slitting machine.

According to the apparatus, therefore, the one corner portion of the leading end of the fly can be trimmed into a uniform arcuate shape.
