Abstract: A security device comprising: a barrier, and a plate, wherein the barrier and the plate are releasably attachable to each other, and when the barrier and plate are attached the device comprises a slot for receiving a rail and the device may hang on a rail with the rail received in the slot, and the barrier protrudes in a horizontal direction, perpendicular from a plane extending downwardly from the rail, to provide an overhang; and wherein at least a portion of the plate is made from a bullet-resistant material.
Abstract: An instrument panel component includes a wall, a first projection, and a second projection. The wall is configured to be supported by the instrument panel. The first and second projections are supported by the wall and extend in a common direction away from the wall. The length of the first projection is different than the length of the second projection and both projections are of a different material than the material of the wall.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a hybrid slat armor configured for protecting a body against a threat having an anticipated impact direction. The hybrid slat armor comprises a plurality of slat units, each extending along a first longitudinal direction, the units being spaced apart along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Each slat unit has a strike end configured for facing the anticipated impact direction, a rear end opposite the strike end, a top set of piercing elements and a bottom set of piercing elements. The piercing elements of each set are successively arranged along the longitudinal direction of the slat unit at the strike end thereof and are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction; The piecing elements of the top set are spaced from the piercing elements of the bottom set in the second longitudinal direction to a distance which is considerably smaller than that between adjacent slat-units.

Abstract: A watercraft includes a support structure and a protected space, object or the like within an outer shell of the support structure. To protect the space, object, or the like, for example, a sensitive subassembly in the watercraft, against threats posed by shaped charges, a protective device is positioned between the outer shell and the sensitive subassembly. The protective device includes a multitude of reactive protective elements arranged in a flexible support construction oriented at an angle to the direction of threat. And the support construction is connected, such as, with positive locking and/or friction locking and/or with substance-to-substance bond, to the support structure of the watercraft.
