Abstract: A windsurfing board or sailboard is shown having a dash for supporting a sailboarder and an improved rudder gear assembly. The dash projects upward from the sailboard and is positioned such that the sailboarder may prop his shins against the dash for support and balance. The improved rudder gear assembly provides a series of intermeshed gears whereby the sailboarder may control a rudder by turning the gears with his or her feet.
