  • Patent number: 9656731
Abstract: A personal water craft (PWC) dock has a molded platform, the platform having a main section with its upper surface contoured to provide an elongate recess extending the length of the platform. The recess is shaped and dimensioned to receive and support the hull of a PWC, the recess being asymmetrically located towards one side of the platform. A raised walkway deck section extends the length of the platform and is located towards the other side of the platform, the walkway deck section being located over a buoyancy chamber. The molded platform is configured at each end of the recess for selective installation of a centering roller or a bow stop as desired for convenience when siting the PWC dock and its walkway deck section in relation to a main dock.

  • Publication number: 20130291776
Abstract: The apparatus and method described herein provides a waterproof, barrier between the hull of the watercraft while the watercraft is still in the water and at a dock. In addition, the apparatus provides a resilient inflated perimeter to which further protects the hull of the vessel from accidental contact with and damage from the dock and other rigid elements which it may contact.

  • Patent number: 4693200
Abstract: Apparatus for protectively enclosing and/or treating the submerged portion of a body floating on a surface of water, such as a boat hull, to prevent or reduce the growth of marine organisms on the submerged portion. The apparatus is formed of a generally rectangular frame having a depending water impervious envelope attached thereto sufficiently large to enclose the submerged portion of the floating body. The frame is formed of hollow tubular front, side and rear members with the front member being filled with floatation material which maintains the front member floating at all times on the surface of the water. Pump means are associated with the frame, preferably mounted the rear tubular member, with the pump adapted to pump water into the side and rear tubular means to cause the rear member to be submerged and moved pivotally downwardly about the floating front member so that the floating body, such as a boat, can be moved across the submerged rear member into the area defined by the rectangular frame.

  • Patent number: 4426949
Abstract: Floating dock for making elongate, cast concrete constructions by producing in sequence sections of the construction in a drainable work chamber. The dock has a base and a pair of permanent upstanding sides facing inwardly towards each other provided with a first set of fixed fastening members for locating anchoring members for the fastening of boarding members with associated reinforcing elements in a first position in the dock where a first section of the construction is cast. A second set of fixed fastening members in series with the first set is for fastening by way of corresponding anchoring members at least portions of the first section in a second position in the dock where a second section of the construction is moulded as a continuation of the first section.

  • Patent number: 4341174
Abstract: A bow dock for use in a two-step docking method to allow the repair or recement of a sonar-dome rubber window on a variety of classes of full draft vessels in harbors and other water of limited depth. The bow dock is provided with docking pedestals and alignment fenders which mate with docking brackets and fenders on the vessel to be docked. Each docking pedestal is provided with an electronic load cell to monitor the pedestal load during docking. The stern gate is fitted with an auxiliary gate and inserts designed to mate with the hull configuration of each vessel class. The stern gate is also provided with a slotted pivot hinge to facilitate sealing of the stern gate to the dock by hydrostatic pressure.
