Patent number: 10875746Abstract: A fixture for lifting a heat exchanger header includes a first leg including a first receiver slot and a second leg including a second receiver slot and a first load arm pivotally attached to an upper portion of the first leg and a second load arm pivotally attached to an upper portion of the second leg. In use, the upper end portions of the first and second load arms are engaged by a lifting device. A first scissor arm is pivotally attached to the second leg and slidingly attached to the first leg by the first receiver slot. A second scissor arm is pivotally attached to the first leg and slidingly attached to the second leg by the second receiver slot. First and second connection plates are secured to the lower portions of the first and second legs and are connected to the tubing aperture of the heat exchanger header.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2019Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: E&C FinFan, Inc.Inventors: Michael Lanphier, David Snell

Patent number: 7413379Abstract: A boat support stands. A pair of aligned and mutually opposed beds is pivotally mounted by risers atop a base plate. A cable and spring urge the beds to move together.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2006Date of Patent: August 19, 2008Inventors: Tommy C. Creel, Sabrina N. Creel

Patent number: 6471558Abstract: A watercraft includes a ventilation system for ventilating the engine compartment and for providing air for induction into the watercraft engine. An air duct extends through the hull and communicates with the engine compartment. An induction box is attached to a deck of the hull and encloses a space around the air duct. The induction box is sized so that pressure pulses are dissipated within the box. A portion of an outer edge of the induction box is cut way, forming an opening through which air can flow. A cowling substantially covers the induction box. Another structural aspect includes a pair of air ducts, each having an associated induction box. An opening of one induction box is generally forwardly facing. An opening of the other induction box is generally rearwardly facing.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2000Date of Patent: October 29, 2002Assignee: Yamaha Hatsudoki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Akira Nakatsuji, Satoshi Koyano, Tomoyoshi Koyanagai

Patent number: 4957392Abstract: An apparatus for preventing sedimentation buildup in waterways having a current, the apparatus being submergible at a location proximate the edge of the waterway and adapted to produce a scour pattern of predetermined configuration. The apparatus includes an elongated, substantially vertical tubular member having an inlet assembly connected proximate the upper end of the tubular member; a turbine fan unit mounted interiorly of the inlet assembly for controllably drawing water into the apparatus; and a discharge assembly connected to the tubular member proximate its lower end for directing the flow of water outwardly from the tubular member in generally horizontal direction at an optimum flow rate.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 1989Date of Patent: September 18, 1990Inventors: James A. Bailard, Scott A. Jenkins

Patent number: 4448569Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed which is employable by a remotely controlled unwater work system to emplace a lift sling beneath an object resting on mud, sand or the like. The apparatus includes a hollow tube and a guide having rollers through which the tube may be passed. The rearward end of the tube is attached to a hose through which water under pressure is directed into the tube. The forward end of the tube is provided with a nozzle so that jets of water issue from it with selected strength and in a selected configuration. A sling or strap is connected at one end to the nozzle end of the tube and at its other end to the guide. A rope or cord is also attached to the guide portion of the apparatus. A mechanical grabber or other mechanism holds the guide in a fixed position with respect to the object to be retrieved while a manipulator arm of the system pushes the tube through the guide and beneath the object to be salvaged.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1981Date of Patent: May 15, 1984Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Donald J. Patent number: 4150503Abstract: A floatable apparatus provided with a lifting element for displacing it between the surface and bottom of a water basin has at least two jaws or grippers which are suitable for use as a clam-shell bucket or the like. The jaws are suspended from the lifting element and are articulated with respect to one another. The lifting element is constituted by a principal floatable buoyant caisson which permits the apparatus to be placed in a state of immersion or of floatation. At least one floatation chamber is associated with each of the jaws to achieve selectably a net density thereof equal to, less than or greater than that of water. The jaws are carried by the principal caisson.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1977Date of Patent: April 24, 1979Inventor: Pierre Lespinasse

Patent number: 4073079Abstract: A nozzle pipe has upper and lower guide rings to guide the nozzle down a pot line to the crab pot. A hydraulic pump on the pipe discharges a jet of sea water to wash away drifted sand which anchors the crab pot to the sea bottom. The pump is driven by a hydraulic motor powered by a hydraulic system on a ship whereby the hydraulic motor circuit is not affected by the sea water pressure.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1976Date of Patent: February 14, 1978Inventor: Nathan I. Patent number: 4051797Abstract: An assembly of components that may be used in combination with a salvage vessel to raise a sunken vessel that has a steel hull from the floor of the ocean or other body of water. The sunken vessel is loosened from the ocean floor by detonating explosive charges embedded in the ocean floor by remotely operated devices while the vessel itself is fastened to hoisting cables using explosive charges to drive rivets or bolts into prepared areas of the sunken hull. The sunken vessel is drawn up towards the water's surface while two elongate propeller driven containers of variable buoyancy with a support net therebetween are provided to aid in raising the sunken vessel to a position adjacent the salvage vessel.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1976Date of Patent: October 4, 1977Inventor: Erich Hausmann

Patent number: 3986745Abstract: This device assures the underwater recovery of heavy objects by marine mals. A trigger mechanism releases sections of spring biased tubing which converged about the object. After the tubing sections interconnect, the marine mammal pulls free and the object is retrieved by a hoisting line. If the object is partially buried in marine sediment, a pair of pressurized gas cartridges are ruptured to jet a pathway for the converging tubular sections. Because the tubing sections are inherently strong, the hoisting line optionally is connected directly to them or to a suitably arranged bridle. The lightweight concentrically arranged tubing sections are capable of lifting heavy loads and are designed to assure reliable trouble free operation.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1975Date of Patent: October 19, 1976Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventor: Arthur F.
