The core assembly is mounted slidably in the front cover and has a convex portion extending out of the front cover. The extending-and-retracting mechanism selectively drives the core assembly to hold forward or backward. The rear cover is mounted on the front cover. A user pushes the core assembly with the extending-and-retracting mechanism forward to extend the head out of or retract the head into the front cover. Retracting the head prevents dust from accumulating on a correction tape on the head.

Abstract: Transfer devices are disclosed. At least one transfer device includes a housing, a supply roll rotatably mounted to the housing, a take-up roll rotatably mounted to the housing, and an application head. The supply roll has a wound supply of liner wound thereon, and the liner has an adhesive carrying surface with an adhesive provided thereon. The take-up roll has at least an end portion of the liner connected thereto such that rotation of the take-up roll in a take-up direction winds portions of the liner unwound from the supply roll onto the take-up roll. The application head includes a plurality of rollers that are rotatable about substantially parallel axes spaced apart from one another, and a closed-loop belt that is trained about the plurality of rollers to provide a transfer surface facing outwardly of the device. The rotation of the rollers enables the belt to travel around the rollers.

Abstract: A liquid applying apparatus can prevent an applying liquid from evaporating while an applying operation is stopped and can reliably prevent the liquid from leaking even when, for example, the posture of the apparatus is tilted. An abutting member of a holding member is abutted, under an urging force of a spring, against an applying surface of an applying roller. Thus, a liquid holding space is formed between the applying roller and a holding member to hold the applying liquid. The abutting member is annularly formed of a single member. The applying roller rotates to cause the applying liquid held in the holding space to adhere to an outer peripheral surface of the applying roller. The applying liquid is then applied to the applying medium.

Abstract: Fluid dispensing apparatus uses positive displacement of the fluid for accurate metering of the quantity of liquid applied to a surface. Positive displacement includes a metering volume that is filled and emptied so that each cycle corresponds to an accurate volume of material dispensed independent of viscosity. In one embodiment, a positive displacement pump is used with a variable speed air motor. The air motor drives the pump. A variable output air regulator supplies air pressure to run the air motor based on a position signal. A profile may be used to relate position with motor speed and to control quantity to be dispensed.
