Patent number: 7568513Abstract: A container is provided having a periphery and a base, which enclose a cavity. The periphery and the base are connected together, the periphery upwardly extending from the base. The periphery has a first slot and a substantially opposing second slot. Each of the first and second slots is sized to permit a first end of a tape located on a roll to be slid through it. A tape holder may be connected to the container so that the tape holder lies outside of the cavity of the container. The roll of tape can be placed on the tape holder so when the tape is pulled through the “mud box”, the tape is thereby unwound. As the tape is manually pulled through the “mud box”, joint compound is thinly applied to one side of the tape. As this is done, the joint compound begins to “adhere” to the tape, conditioning the tape for excellent wall adhesion.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2006Date of Patent: August 4, 2009Inventor: Paul Teel

Patent number: 7101441Abstract: A system and method for dispensing roll material is described that substantially prevents toilet paper runaway and is useful in reducing irritation caused by using dry toilet paper. In one embodiment, the dispenser has a structure that has a thin, but strong curved, rigid arm with a tooth that is biased to engage the toilet paper roll in such a manner that it will only permit the roll to turn only in one direction. If the roll is attempted to be turned in the opposite direction, the tooth, which is disposed toward the roll, will engage the roll and prevent rotation in the second direction without substantially damaging the toilet paper on the roll. In a second embodiment, the toilet paper dispenser will dispense a predetermined amount of toilet paper into a receiver that has a sufficient size that it will fold over onto itself a predetermined number of times.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2003Date of Patent: September 5, 2006Inventor: Wayne M. Patent number: 4374505Abstract: A system of applying glue or like liquid to a continuous web comprising a frame with a reservoir. A reservoir which is capable of being sealed tightly between uses in order to stop the drying process of glue, for example: a user of the apparatus may at any given time activate the use of the glue applicator by simply removing the cover of the reservoir, placing the dispensing reel bracket and the dispensing reel into its proper lace above the reservoir. A supply reel of unsaturated material has a wound web of the material attached, which is mounted generally above the reservoir in a rotational fashion. A guide roller module is disposed within the reservoir. The rollers outer perimeter is submerged within one quarter inch from the bottom of the reservoir. This enables the tape to be submerged to the extreme bottom of the glue reservoir and gives full usage of all liquid stored within the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 1981Date of Patent: February 22, 1983Inventor: Ned B. Patent number: 4219129Abstract: A moist tissue dispenser in which a web of absorbent sheet material divided by transverse lines of perforations into interconnecting tissue is saturated with a liquid cleansing agent and coiled into a roll having a hollow core, the roll being housed within an open-mouthed container. The leading end tissue of the roll extends upwardly from the core and passes through a frusto-conical central orifice in a removable cover received over the mouth of the container. The orifice functions as a converging passage whose constriction forces the end tissue to rope and to effectively plug the orifice, thereby maintaining the container in a sealed state to prevent evaporation of the cleansing agent. The orifice constriction and its configuration are such as to impose a drag on the roped end tissue as it is pulled from the dispenser by a user and funnelled through the orifice.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1979Date of Patent: August 26, 1980Inventor: Henry D.
