Patent number: 9155288Abstract: The present invention discloses a fish tank with a function of discharging waste water from a bottom thereof. A side at a bottom of the fish tank body is provided with a drain hole which is connected to an L-shaped tube, such that by rotating low the L-shaped tube, the waste water at the bottom of the fish tank can be discharged and by rotating high the L-shaped tube, the fresh water can be stored in the fish tank. Moreover, by providing a V-shaped transparent baffle, a bottom mud plate, a submerged motor and a breeder box which is hung up outside the fish tank, a closed food chain system is formed in the fish tank, allowing aquarium breeding to be simpler and easier.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2014Date of Patent: October 13, 2015Inventor: Shao-Chieh Ting

Publication number: 20100058992Abstract: A breeding apparatus comprises a main water tank 10 in which deep-sea organisms are housed along with seawater; a hot water supplying device 20; and a hot water discharging device 30. A hot water pipe 22 extends from a hot water tank 21 to the bottom of the main water tank 10, an end configuring a spouting hole 22a which emits hot water upwardly. The hot water discharging unit 30 is positioned above the spouting hole 22a and circulates the hot water ascended from the spouting hole 22a back to the warm water tank 23, which is outside of the main water tank 10, via a hot water discharging pipe 31. The hot water emitted from the spouting hole 22a forms a cold water zone 12 and a localized hot water zone 11, while the interface between this hot water zone 11 and the cold water zone 12 is formed in a rapidly ascending fashion in respect to the vertical cross section of the seawater in the main water tank 10.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2008Publication date: March 11, 2010Applicants: JAPAN AGENCY FOR MARINE-EARTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, ENOSHIAM PFI CO., LTD.Inventors: Hiroshi Miyake, Tetsuya Miwa, Mitsugu Kitada, Kazuhisa Hori

Patent number: 5297513Abstract: An improved tank assembly comprising a number of tanks. One of tanks holds the parent fish and has structure for allowing fish larvae to flow into another tank. In the second tank, the fish larvae can circulate and continue to grow. Food is circulated in the tank assembly, and the food particles are collected and prevented from draining out of the tank assembly. The second tank is preferably a circular tank and, once the larvae are in the circular tank, the water current can be adjusted to meet the needs of the fish. This is achieved by an air lift tube carried by the circular tank. The air lift tube operates to exchange water periodically in the circular tank. The air lift tube also pumps live food into the circular tank.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1992Date of Patent: March 29, 1994Inventor: Gary Musgrave
