Warmed By Water Patents (Class 119/312)
  • Patent number: 7152664
Abstract: An incubation and storage device, in particular for specimens of organic material, is provided. Specifically, boundary surfaces of the inner space of the incubation and storage device are thermally connected to heat transfer elements that are attached on the outside of the device. The heat transfer elements have a liquid heat carrier circulating through them, where the heating and/or cooling of the inner space takes indirectly via the liquid heat carrier. Here a heater for heating and an evaporator for cooling the heat carrier are provided. The heat transfer elements can for example, be box shaped or designed as tubular coils. Through the use of a liquid heat carrier, the necessary temperature constancy inside the device is achieved.

  • Patent number: 6431460
Abstract: An incubating box includes a container with a flange, an inlet, holding portions, a space, protrusions and supports; a bed which is placed inside the space and supported by the protrusions, a retaining device which is arranged in the recess and supported by the pair of positioning plates, a water absorbing element which is laid down on a top face of the bed to cover the entire surface enclosed by the wall so that water from the water absorbing element is able to be distributed to every part in the bed; and a cap which has a peripheral skirt, a handle, ventilation holes and spacers, wherein the peripheral skirt extends downward to correspond to the flange of the container.

  • Patent number: 5823143
Abstract: An incubator taken directly into the field where birthing of newborn animals occurs. To facilitate easy handling and to provide durable construction, the incubator has a support frame that protects the components against damage during transportation. The incubator generally comprises a generally cylindrical container with an opening to allow insertion and removal of a newborn animal, and a heat exchanger mounted in the container. The heat exchanger houses a fan which continually circulates air over a heater core and into the container. With the use of quick release couplings at the ends of supply and return hoses, the heater core connects to the engine coolant system of an automobile. The incubator also connects to the automobile electrical system by way of a conventional male-female plug of the type used for trailer hitches. A temperature control system also is provided by the electrical connection of a thermostat to a control valve.

  • Patent number: 5542375
Abstract: An improved system for the incubation of exotic bird eggs contains a flexible bladder as an essential component. The system includes an incubation unit, system heat exchange liquid, a heating unit to warm the heat exchange liquid, a pump unit, and conduits to circulate warmed heat exchange liquid in the system. The incubation unit includes a housing, a bed of soft wood chips or equivalent bedding material contained within the housing upon which an array of the bird eggs is supported. The flexible bladder has a relatively flat bottom portion that is supported by and covers the array of bird eggs. Inlet and outlet tubes extend from the bladder and are associated with the conduits whereby warmed system heat exchange liquid may be circulated from the heating unit through the bladder interior to supply heat through the flat bottom portion to the bird eggs to warm and incubate them. A related method of bird egg incubation based on the bladder is also disclosed.
