With Environmental Control Means Patents (Class 119/317)
  • Patent number: 11006657
Abstract: A meat aging chamber suitable for residential or portable use is provided. An aging apparatus comprises a refrigerated aging cabinet having a climate created by environmental apparatus. A server in a cloud resource communicates with a control circuit in the aging apparatus and with a portable interactive device. In a setup mode the portable interactive device communicates with a control circuit in the aging apparatus via a communications interface to identify the user to the control circuit. In an operating mode the communications interface enables communication between the cloud resource and the control circuit. A sensor module provides current values to the cloud resource for controlling operation in accordance with a software program embodying the aging protocol. The cloud resource can inform the smartphone of aging progress and alarm conditions. Physical features enable embodying the functions of a commercial aging chamber in a residential sized unit.

  • Patent number: 10416052
Abstract: An automated in situ heat induced antigen recovery and staining method and apparatus for treating a plurality of microscope slides. The process of heat induced antigen recovery and the process of staining the biological sample on the microscope slide are conducted in the same apparatus, wherein the microscope slides do not need to be physically removed from one apparatus to another. Each treatment step occurs within the same reaction compartment. The reaction conditions of each reaction compartment for treating a slide can preferably be controlled independently, including the individualized application of reagents to each slide and the individualized treatment of each slide.

  • Patent number: 6111724
Abstract: A method makes a magnetic write head with a plated self-aligned zero throat height (ZTH) defining layer without reflective notching. In the method a seedlayer is deposited on a first pole piece layer, a negative resist layer is photopatterned on the seedlayer with a first opening that frames a location for a second pole piece, a positive resist layer is photopatterned on the negative resist layer with a second opening that frames a location for the ZTH defining layer, the ZTH defining layer is plated, the positive resist is removed, the second pole piece is plated and the negative resist is removed. The ZTH defining layer has a front vertical edge that is substantially parallel to an air bearing surface (ABS) and that is recessed from the ABS for defining the ZTH of the head.

  • Patent number: 5657720
Abstract: A device for incubation and hatching of bird eggs having an insulated cabinet for housing the eggs and an associated environmental control box. The cabinet is completely sealed and has a sealed door to maintain internal air pressure. There is a controlled air inflow vent at the top of the cabinet and an exhaust vent at the bottom of the cabinet. There is an environmental control unit in fluid communication with the air inflow vent. The control box has an air inflow port, a heater and humidifier. The air flow, temperature and humidity are preset and electronically monitored and controlled. The device also contains computer means for monitoring the incubation of the eggs. One or more fans moves the air into the cabinet. The air flows from the top to the bottom of the cabinet to maintain a uniform desired environment for the eggs. The cabinet contains an interchangeable egg rotating device.
