Abstract: A bench top incubator is described. The bench top incubator includes a first tray stack designed to retain microscope slides in a plurality of slide trays and a second tray stack designed to retain multi-well plates in a plurality of plate trays. The incubator is relatively simple and small in design and can be conveniently located to carry out temperature processing of biological samples such as fixed cells and tissues, biological fluids, and so forth.
Abstract: The sex of embryos in eggs is influenced or controlled through the application of light having selected wavelengths in order to promote the development of embryos of a selected sex. An incubating device is provided having an interior cavity that can be sealed from an outside, and having a plurality of lighting elements disposed on each of a plurality of trays disposed in the interior cavity. Eggs are disposed on the trays, and pre-determined environmental conditions are applied to the interior cavity to promote hatching of the eggs. Concurrently with the application of the environmental conditions, the eggs are irradiated according to pre-determined lighting conditions. The lighting conditions include applying light having wavelengths substantially concentrated in selected ranges, such as light wavelengths within the 390-419 nm, 410-450 nm, 420-450 nm, 450-495 nm, or other narrow range.
Abstract: The invention relates to a microplate reader and a respective method, wherein the microplate reader comprises at least one measuring device and a holding device for accommodating at least one microplate and for positioning the samples-containing wells of this(these) microplate(s) in relation to the at least one measuring device. The at least one measuring device is used for detecting light which is emitted by samples in wells of a microplate inserted in this microplate reader and/or which is influenced by samples transilluminated by light in wells of a microplate inserted in this microplate reader. The microplate reader comprises a control unit for controlling the temperature of a gas atmosphere surrounding the wells containing the samples of microplates used in this microplate reader.

Abstract: A pet shelter/incubator includes a hollow housing having an interior sufficiently large to comfortably receive at least one dog, a floor, a roof and at least one side wall extending between the floor and the roof and only partially surrounding the interior. It also includes at least one heat generator positioned within the housing to radiate into the interior and a sensor that is responsive to the presence and absence of an animal in the interior of the housing turn the heat generator on in the presence of the animal and off in its absence. The roof is removably mounted to the side wall and floor to convert the shelter into an incubator for newborn and young animals with a rigid closure to cover a door opening.
Abstract: A portable livestock incubating device is provided formed of a rectangular container having and incubating volume forming an incubating chamber defined by the zone within the incubating volume. Each each end wall further includes an access door hingedly attached to an upper portion above a clean out door for providing ingress and egress of livestock. Each access door has an exhaust vent located at an upper portion whereby heated air, generated via an electric heater within said the incubating chamber exhausts therethrough. A base with wheels mounted thereon for facilitating transportation of the portable livestock incubating device.
Abstract: An apparatus for hatching eggs includes a rectangular casing having a top provided with a pre-heating chamber in which is mounted a first electric fan and a water tray under the electric fan, an air compressor arranged on the top and connected with the pre-heating chamber via a pipe, a cooling water container installed on the top and connected with the water tray via a pipe, a second electric fan installed on a first inner end of the rectangular casing, and a third electric fan installed on a second inner end of the rectangular casing, whereby the hatching rate of eggs and the grown-up rate of fowls can be largely increased.
