Abstract: A system for handling eggs includes a pusher comprising an axis and an egg support at a free end of the axis. The system for handling eggs further includes a brake associated with the pusher, to selectively apply a brake force thereon.
Abstract: The invention relates to a tray (1) for containing a number of eggs (2) in an incubation chamber, the tray comprising a number of egg accommodation spaces (3) in which space an egg is able to be hatched, and at least one passage (4) for a chicken through which passage a chicken hatched from said egg may pass through the tray and enter a chicken accommodation space located below the tray.
Abstract: A device for centrifugation and robotic manipulation of specimen samples, including incubating eggs, and uses thereof are provided. The device may advantageously be used for the incubation of avian, reptilian or any type of vertebrate eggs. The apparatus comprises a mechanism for holding samples individually, rotating them individually, rotating them on a centrifuge collectively, injecting them individually with a fixative or other chemical reagent, and maintaining them at controlled temperature, relative humidity and atmospheric composition. The device is applicable to experiments involving entities other than eggs, such as invertebrate specimens, plants, microorganisms and molecular systems.

Abstract: In ovo injection apparatus include an egg carrier configured to hold a plurality of eggs and to provide external access to the eggs, a plurality of injection devices positioned above the carrier, and an egg support assembly positioned beneath the carrier that is configured to support each egg in the carrier during contact therewith by a respective injection device. The egg support assembly includes a frame, a plate having an array of openings attached to the frame, and a plurality of pedestals removably secured within a respective one of the openings. The egg support assembly is operatively associated with the plurality of injection devices such that each pedestal moves upwardly through a respective opening in the carrier to support an egg as a respective injection device makes contact with the egg.
Abstract: A small incubator designed to hatch a small number of eggs of chickens, game birds or the like. The incubator is designed to be used on a table top or similar stand, and includes a device for rolling the eggs as well as a heating unit and circulating device to move the air inside the egg compartment. The rolling device may be either manual or automatic as desired.
Abstract: A poultry egg incubation method and an apparatus for carrying out the method. Eggs are initially placed in openings of substantially egg-shaped contour provided in an egg support which is thereafter placed in a hatching bin with the eggs out of contact with the bin. The bin is then placed in an incubation container or cart. For purposes of incubation the support is lowered to place the eggs in point contact with the bin so that relative movement between bin and support causes rotation of the eggs without disturbing their position within the bin. Controlled humidifying and ventilating equipment is provided for providing stable climatic conditions.
