Abstract: A portable livestock corral is configured to be operably attached to a vehicle for advancement in a forward direction. The portable livestock corral broadly includes a wheeled chassis and opposed sets of corral panels. The wheeled chassis includes an elongated corral frame and a pair of ground-engaging transport wheels shiftable relative to the corral frame and operable to support the corral frame above ground. The opposed sets of corral panels are removably supported on the corral frame and are configured to be advanced with the corral frame in the forward direction by the vehicle. The wheeled chassis further includes a pair of spindles rotatably receiving the pair of transport wheels and a suspension. The suspension is configured to shiftably support the spindles and transport wheels relative to the corral frame.

Abstract: A mobile unit for animal ovarian tissue processing comprises an enclosure supported on a wheeled chassis. A collecting chamber defined within the enclosure comprises a restraint mounted to the enclosure and configured to restrain an animal in a standing position, at least one access sized to provide the animal ingress to, and egress from, the collecting chamber, an ovum aspiration system disposed in the collecting chamber to retrieve oocytes from the animal and an imaging scanner disposed in the collecting chamber to guide the ovum aspiration system to the oocytes. A processing chamber defined within the enclosure contiguous to the collecting chamber is isolated from the collecting chamber by at least one dividing wall extending between the collecting chamber and the processing chamber. The processing chamber includes an incubator to incubate the oocytes. A temperature control unit maintains a temperature of the retrieved oocytes between a predetermined temperature range.

Abstract: A shipping container for livestock having a plurality of walls, a container roof and a container floor enclosing an interior storage space. The front wall may include a container door and one or more of the sidewalls may be mounted with one or more column support plates that support web support plates. A floating partition, end wing, loft and feed troughs may be mounted with the web support plates. Additionally, the floating partition may be tilted inward to efficiently divide space and provide access to the loft. A catwalk may also be mounted with the floating partition.

Abstract: The cage for breeding small animals according to the present invention comprises a casing with an opening on an upper surface thereof, and a lid for covering the opening of the casing. The lid comprises a frame body attached to an upper end edge of the casing, and an opening for a water supply apparatus to which the water supply apparatus is attached in an openable and closable fashion. A partition board is placed in the casing to divide the housing section within the casing into two. A ventilation section is provided in the partition board, for ventilation between one room and the other room of the divided housing section in the casing. A communicating section for placing a tip of a nozzle of the water supply apparatus is provided by cutting out the partition board.

Abstract: A livestock trailer arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes an enclosure defining a first sidewall and a spaced-apart second sidewall and a side opening defined on the first sidewall for allowing ingress of a livestock. A first divider has a first position in which the divider extends at an angle from the first sidewall to the second sidewall and a second position in which the divider is pivoted about the second sidewall to define a passageway for ingress of a livestock through the side opening. An accessory assembly is pivotable about a rearward portion of the first sidewall such that the accessory assembly may be pivoted outwardly of the enclosure. A second divider has a position in which the divider is pivoted about the first sidewall to define a passageway for egress of a livestock through a rearward portion of the enclosure.

Abstract: A shipping container for livestock having a plurality of walls, a container roof and a container floor enclosing an interior storage space. The front wall may include a container door and one or more of the sidewalls may be mounted with one or more column support plates that support web support plates. A floating partition, end wing, loft and feed troughs may be mounted with the web support plates. Additionally, the floating partition may be tilted inward to efficiently divide space and provide access to the loft. A catwalk may also be mounted with the floating partition.

Abstract: A device to safeguard a horse in a horse carrier or trailer includes a harness (25,26) on the horse and the safety belts (28-31) affixed to the walls of the carrier (14-16) at the level of the breast of the horse. The harness is fastened around the breast and secured around the withers and ribcage so that its connecting device (44) is situated at the level of the breast of the horse. The horse is lead into the trailer or carrier and preferably tethered, before, standing in front of the horse, one affixes the harness to the safety belts.

Abstract: A conveyance for the transportation of a multiple livestock is manufactured as a stock trailer in the slant configuration having provided therein a rear interior panels and forward interior panels. The forward and rear interior panels are rotatable about their respective mounting poles and the forward interior panels slide back and forth to facilitate loading into and unloading from the trailer of a plurality of horses. In particular, the forward interior panels and the rear interior panels are cooperatively adapted to enable the forward loading of the horses and, further, to enable the forward unloading to and from the trailer, respectively.

Abstract: A car barrier includes two posts and a central net is connected between the two posts. Two side nets are slidably connected to two ends of the central net. The central net has a first top rail and a first bottom rail, and each of the side nets has a second top rail and a second bottom rail. At least one positioning unit has a connection member which includes two passages defined therethrough. The first bottom rail and the second bottom rail respectively extend through the two passages. The second bottom rails can be slid with in the passages so as to adjust the width of the car barrier.

Abstract: An animal management system provides an alley to control the handling of animals when procedures are to be performed on the animals by veterinarians or cattle producers. The alley is formed by a base frame, and included therewith are a headgate and preferably two wedge-shaped access doors rotatably mounted with the base frame. The headgate is movable between an entrapping position to a releasing position for an animal, and coordinated movement of the at least one access door ensures that a lead animal is properly positioned while other down line animals do not interfere with care given to, or procedures performed on, the lead animal in the headgate. Each access door allows convenient access for persons to the lead animal, and the selective use of one of two doors at a time facilitates the access to and movement of animals of different sizes in the alley.

Abstract: A device, for maintaining body temperature with detection of heart rate and respiratory rate small animals, has a layered structure and includes a sheet-like pressure-sensitive sensor superimposed on a flat-plate heater and sandwiched between thin insulation sheets. A spacer formed of a metallic plate, having a hole into which the pressure-sensitive sensor is fitted, is also provided between the thin insulation sheets.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for closing an internal divider gate in a livestock transport vehicle (i.e. trailer). The vehicle has one side with an opening. A bar is pivotally connected to the side adjacent to the opening, and is received through the opening such that the bar has an outer bar portion outside the vehicle and an inner bar portion inside the vehicle. A roller is rotatably connected to an inner end defined by the inner bar portion. A handle is preferably fixedly connected to the outer bar portion adjacent to an outer end defined by such bar portion. An operator pulls on the handle to move the outer bar portion outwardly from the side and the inner bar portion in the opposite direction to place the roller in rolling contact with the gate. The bar pushes the gate from an open position and partway to a closed position with the roller in rolling contact with the gate, the gate gaining sufficient momentum to swing the rest of the way to the closed position with the roller out of contact with the gate.

Abstract: The present invention essentially comprises an upper assembly having a securing receptor with a guide track, a lower assembly having a securing receptor with a guide track, a bi-fold partition having a top portion and a bottom portion wherein the top portion is received by the upper assembly and the bottom portion is secured by the lower assembly. In a preferred construction, the bottom portion of the partition further has a cooperatively attached pin or foot bolt that is generally received by the lower assembly. When the partition is secured in such a fashion, the partition forms a compartment often referred to as a tack room. To release the partition, the pin is pulled in upward direction and the partition slid out of the lower and upper assembly wherein the partition can be folded and stored along the sidewall of the trailer and in essence removes the tack room sub-compartmentalization.

Abstract: A pet separation device includes two tubes each have a top suction member connected a top end thereof and an inclined tube is retractably connected to a lower end of each of the tubes. A bottom suction member is connected to each of the two inclined tubes. A first netted separation member is fixed to the two tubes and two second separation members each have a part overlapped to the first separation member. A plurality of locking assemblies connect the overlapped first separation member and the second separation members.

Abstract: An animal transporting system for easily loading, unloading, sorting, separating and transporting animals within an enclosed structure. The inventive device includes a frame attached to a truck, a ramp attached to the frame that is extendable from the frame, a pair of first doors pivotally attached to the frame adjacent the ramp, a pair of second doors pivotally attached to the first doors, a rear door, and a rear ramp structure telescoping rearwardly and downwardly for the loading of animals at ground level.

Abstract: A slam latch assembly for a trailer having an interior surface defined by a front, a first sidewall, a back, and a second sidewall and the trailer further having a partition with a first end hinged to the trailer first sidewall and a distal end comprising a housing having an interior cavity and an aperture for accessing the cavity wherein the housing is attached to the second sidewall such that the housing is contained in the second sidewall and the aperture is generally flush with the trailer interior surface; and a latching mechanism attached to and contained in the interior cavity of the housing and accessible through the housing aperture wherein the latching mechanism is adapted to selectively secure and release the distal end of the partition.

Abstract: An animal separating fence used in vehicles includes two posts each have a top sucking member and a bottom sucking member for respectively positioning the fence between the ceiling and the floor of the vehicle. Two sleeves are mounted to each of the posts and each sleeve includes two extensions and a passage is defined through each of the extensions. Two side walls extend from each of the extensions and a space is between the two side walls and communicates with the passage. Two transverse tubes extend through the passages of the extensions. A locking member is pivotably connected between the two side walls of each of the extensions and each locking member has a cam head which is pivoted to press the transverse tube to position the transverse tubes.

Abstract: An animal transporting system for efficiently loading, unloading, sorting, separating and transporting animals within an enclosed structure. The inventive device includes a frame attached to a truck, a ramp movably attached to the frame that is extendable from the frame, a plurality of holding pens within the frame defined by a plurality of partitions, and a plurality of doors pivotally attached to the partitions. Each of the doors are manipulated by an actuator such as a hydraulic cylinder. A stimulator system is positioned within each of the holding pens to humanely encourage an animal to exit the holding pen.

Abstract: An animal transporting system for easily loading, unloading, sorting, separating and transporting animals within an enclosed structure. The inventive device includes a frame attached to a truck, a ramp attached to the frame that is extendable from the frame, a pair of first doors pivotally attached to the frame adjacent the ramp, and a pair of second doors pivotally attached to the first doors. When the ramp is fully extended, the first doors and the second doors are extended from the frame along side the ramp for retaining animals being loaded and unloaded from the frame. The frame is formed for receiving one or more animals within having a plurality of partitions and inner doors. A side door and a rear door are positioned within the frame for allowing loading and unloading animals from heightened areas such as a dock or ground level with the use of a level loading attachment. A catwalk attached to the upper portion of the frame for allowing an individual to view the interior portion of the frame.

Abstract: A fowl attraction device for causing fowl to be distributed within an enclosure includes a support stand for placement in or on the ground or flooring surface within the enclosure and a mesh screen attached to the support stand to be generally vertically oriented. Fowl will be attracted to the attraction device, so one or more attraction devices are placed within the enclosure to for example move fowl inwardly of outer walls of the enclosure.

Abstract: A slam latch is provided which includes a housing which receives a planar slide which is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. A spring biases the slide toward the extended position. The housing forms a part of a divider which is hingedly mounted to a trailer body to form compartments in the trailer. Preferably, the housing is made of metal, and the slide is made of plastic. The housing has a hole in each side of the housing allowing access to the slide. Preferably, the slide includes a hole therethrough defining a hand slot. The trailer body includes a receiver post which receives the end of the slide in the extended position to latch the divider in place. Preferably, the receiver post has a continuous cross-section from floor to ceiling and is flush with the wall of the trailer body.

Abstract: A shipping container for shipping livestock includes a structural main body having a floor, side walls, a closed end wall, a gated end wall, and a roof, all enclosing an interior space. The interior space of the main body is selectively apportioned by one or more gates into one or more stalls for livestock. Each gate has an integral door. As well, a storage member is provided to accommodate the storage of a sufficient quantity of feed to permit substantially self-sufficient operation of the container during shipment over long distances.

Abstract: A transportable animal enclosure assembly including opposed longitudinal sidewall assemblies each having a respective upper portion adapted to constrain sideways movement of the upper body portion of an animal being transported and a base wall extending between and laterally beyond the upper portions and being accessible to the animal transported. One or both sidewall assemblies preferably include a lower portion that slopes inwardly from the base wall to the upper portion. The transportable animal enclosure preferably includes adjustable rear support for supporting the rump of the animal and an adjustable chest restrainer for restraining the animal against the rear support.
