The pet carrier includes a housing comprising a back wall, a front wall opposite the back wall, a first side wall, a second side wall opposite the first side wall, a top wall, a bottom wall opposite the top wall, and a door formed in at least one of the first side wall and the second side wall. At least one dimension of the housing is adjustable. The pet carrier also includes a wall reinforcement system. The wall reinforcement system includes at least one front reinforcement strap, coupled to and extending across the front wall, and side reinforcement straps each, coupled to and extending across corresponding ones of the first side wall and the second side wall. The at least one front reinforcement strap is coupled to the side reinforcement straps.

The pet storage module has multiple module walls and a door that enclose a cavity configured to receive a pet. The pet storage module includes one or more first latch members attached to one or more of the module walls. The closet includes closet walls defining a compartment sized to receive the pet storage module therein. The closet further includes one or more second latch members attached to one or more of the closet walls. Each second latch member is configured to releasably connect to a corresponding first latch member to secure the pet storage module within the closet during a trip of the vehicle.

The plurality of sides includes a first side having a first opening leading into the housing and a second side having a second opening leading into the housing. A gate is secured to the housing and is spring biased in a closed position covering the first opening. The gate pivots against the spring bias in a direction towards an interior of the housing when a force is applied against the gate from outside of the housing. A first door is secured to the housing and covers the second opening.

Abstract: A pet stroller with an adjustable structure of strut and canopy includes a pet stroller body, an adjustable supporting frame and an adjustable canopy. The adjustable supporting frame includes two rotation shaft boxes respectively arranged on the inner sides of the folding brace of the two sides of the pet stroller body. Each rotation shaft box includes a canopy strut extended diagonally upwards from the front end thereof and a front window strut extended forward parallelly from the front end thereof. The adjustable canopy covers on the external side of the pet stroller body and corresponds to the adjustable supporting frame, so as to allow the adjustable canopy to be transformed among a covering mode, a front opening mode, and a full-opening mode through adjusting the positions of the canopy strut and the front window strut.

A removable cover for covering the top and a portion of the four sides is removably coupled to the mattress by a plurality of fasteners. The removable cover comprises material that is washable. A plurality of downward facing suctions cups are affixed to the bottom of the inflatable mattress. The suction cups affixed to the bottom of the inflatable mattress are configured for preventing movement of the mattress when the suction cups engage an external surface.

Abstract: A portable cat carrier has a sliding floor that momentarily and mildly destabilizes a cat's footing to facilitate transferring the cat in and out of the carrier. The floor is the bottom portion of a movable insert that has a receptacle for receiving the cat. The insert has relatively low side panels to provide the cat with a calming, unrestricted side view. After the cat is lowered into the receptacle, the insert is slid horizontally into an outer housing for containing the cat. When the insert is fully inserted within the housing, a front panel of the insert closes the housing's access opening to prevent the cat from escaping. A back panel of the insert has an elevated impassable rear barrier that prevents the cat from jumping into a trapped area between the insert and the outer housing.

Abstract: Washing of the supporting frames of units for transporting live poultry from the breeding farm to the slaughterhouse is carried out, following upon extraction of the drawer-type cages containing the poultry, after positioning the supporting frame in a condition where it is rotated through 90° with respect to the transport configuration. Washing is carried out via a network of tubes and spray nozzles that can be displaced vertically from a raised, inoperative, position to a lowered, washing, position, where said network sets itself around the rotated supporting frame. After the supporting frame has been washed, it is repositioned in the transport configuration.

Abstract: A colony basket and method of using the same for handling poultry from DOC through the growing process and on to a production facility comprising a harvesting system, a loading system, a transport system, an unloading and storing system, hanging system and cleaning system. The system and method performs the steps of harvesting and colonizing live poultry into a singly stackable and transportable colony basket, stacking and loading the trays on a transport, unloading and temporarily storing the poultry for subsequent processing. The system and method further includes the use of a modular colony basket for interchangeable use with the described system.

Abstract: A reduced-weight poultry cage is used in conjunction with a reduced-weight trailer to transport live poultry for maximizing the poundage of poultry being transported while reducing the number of trips and fuel expenses. The poultry cage includes a combination of aluminum and plastic elements that reduce cage weight, provide for nesting of cages in stacks as well as easy replacement of failed parts. Furthermore, a drop-deck aluminum trailer with a reduced floor and guide rail alignment stops allows for a durable yet lightweight trailer that can haul a plurality of stacks of these poultry cages, thereby maximizing cubic feet availability while being compliant with various road and bridge laws.

The enclosure of the animal carrier can be formed by the attachment of two side panels, and optionally a front panel, to the frame. The invention also features a retrofit funnel that is adapted to be securely attached to an opening of a standard animal carrier.

The cage includes a door with a horizontal top rod that slides along a top member of a side grate when opening and closing the door. The cage also includes four lifting lugs to assist in the moving of the cages. Also provided is a method of loading livestock into such a cage.
