  • Patent number: 6029609
Abstract: A foldable pet shelter for attachment around a pet door against the interior surface of an exterior door of a house. The pet shelter has a top panel which is hinged to the interior surface of an exterior door above a pet door. A right side panel and a left side panel are hingedly held along the sides of the top panel and when the shelter is unfolded, the top panel, side panels and an end panel provide a shelter within a residence which permits a pet to enter the residence from the outdoors but retains the pet within the confines of the shelter. This provides a warm or cool place for the pet during inclement weather while still not permitting the pet to roam around the house.

  • Patent number: 5967089
Abstract: A light-weight animal enclosure formed from a plurality of preferably rectangular panels hingedly interconnected that can be erected to form a complete enclosure wherein each panel is formed from a tubular polymeric frame structure that receives and holds in position a relatively light-weight polymeric sheet material, such as an acrylic sheet, such that each panel can be collapsed upon an adjacent panel for easy transportation and storage and the panels can be unfolded and positioned to encompass an enclosed area for animal exercise and/or grazing.

  • Patent number: 5803018
Abstract: A portable knock down pigeon cage for easy transportation of homing pigeons is made up a top roof, a bottom base, a pair of foldable fences and a pair of lateral side walls. The foldable fences are pivotally engaged with the top roof and the lateral side walls are pivotally engaged with the bottom base and can be releasably engaged with the top roof so that the cage can be easily expanded when the top roof is pulled upwardly and the side walls are erected to engage with the top roof, and the cage can be easily knocked down by simply pushing down the lateral side walls. The cage is provided with a drawable waste collecting board in the bottom base so as to make the cleaning of the cage with ease.

  • Patent number: 5778594
Abstract: A cage-type animal trap has side walls which fold inwardly concertina-wise and end frames with sliding doors which fold up against the roof of the trap so that the trap can be collapsed into a compact package for storage and transportation. When the trap is opened out for use the end frames form braces rigidly supporting the side walls. A trigger mechanism on the roof of the trap holds both doors open so that an animal can enter the trap from either end. A pivotal trip pan in the base of the trap is connected by cables to the trigger mechanism. When an animal steps on the trip pan from either end, the trigger mechanism releases both doors which slide closed under gravity. The trap can optionally be operated with one of the doors remaining closed and can be provided in a non-collapsible version.

  • Patent number: 5626098
Abstract: A collapsible cage for dogs or rabbits has a rectangular base, fold-down end walls folding side walls and a roof. The walls and roof are made of metal grids. The end walls fold down onto the base one over the other. The side walls fold in the middle concertina-wise and are hinged at the top to opposite edges of the roof allowing the side walls and roof to collapse onto the base over the end walls. The base has a pull-out tray or pan and an access door is provided in one of the end walls. Releasable clips are provided to hold the walls and roof together in an elevated position of the structure.

  • Patent number: 5564367
Abstract: A compact fenced enclosure (5) having a plurality of generally upright support posts (7), and a plurality of top rails (11) and bottom rails (15) extending in a generally horizontal direction between each support post. Each top rail (11) and bottom rail (15) has a first end and a second end. The first end of each rail is placed in an overlapping relationship with the second end of each adjacent rail on the first and second ends of each support post (7), and secured to support post (7) by a single fastener passing through an opening (33) defined in each arcuate section (32), and through matching opening (34) defined in the first and second ends of each support post (7) forming an enclosure about the space. Enclosure (5) also includes a gate assembly (24) supported on frame (6) for permitting passage into and out of the space, and chain link fencing (26) attached to frame (6) and gate assembly (24) for enclosing the space defined by said enclosure.

  • Patent number: 5551372
Abstract: A modular cage system (10) for a terrestrial animal or a bird which comprises at least two enclosures (11, 13) each enclosure being joined to another enclosure by a tunnel or walkway (12) and an entrance/exit (14) from and to sleeping quarters, wherein each enclosure is sufficiently large to allow the animal or bird to move in a relatively unobstructed fashion and wherein each tunnel or walkway is adapted to provide unobstructed passage from one enclosure to another and to provide the illusion of travel over an extended distance and a diminished sense of being caged.

  • Patent number: 5544619
Abstract: In order to permit a purchaser to assemble a collapsible cage simply and without the need for special tools, the side walls (2 to 5), which are usually four in number, are connected to each other by sectional corner connectors (7 to 10). The sectional corner connectors are longitudinally divided into two parts and consist of an outer part (16) and an inner part (17). Both parts are undetachably connected via rotating parts (22). In one variant, spreader springs (35, 36) ensure that the parts (16, 17) of the sectional corner connectors are held apart in the untightened state so that the widest possible gap (33) is created for inserting the edge zones (19, 20) of the gratings. When the rotating parts (22) are rotated, for example through about 90.degree., this causes the inner part (17) of the sectional corner connector to move towards the outer part, while at the same time clamping the edge zones (19, 20) of the gratings.

  • Patent number: 5522344
Abstract: A pet cage capable of ready disassembly and erection for mounting within a window having a bottom rail and a stop, and projecting beyond the window opening. The pet cage consists of a 5-sided enclosure, including a hollow panel. An accordion-pleated panel assembly is removably connected to the enclosure for adjustably extending between the enclosure and the window stop. Upon disassembly, the panel assembly is removed from the enclosure and stored within the hollow panel so that the disassembled pet cage forms a single, compact, portable structure.
