Abstract: A multifunctional birdhouse can be configured into a birdhouse or a birdfeeder and provides easy cleaning access. The multifunctional birdhouse comprises a birdhouse enclosure and a reversible drawer. The birdhouse enclosure is the main structural housing for the multifunctional birdhouse. The reversible drawer allows the multifunctional birdhouse to be configured as a birdhouse or a birdfeeder based on the orientation of the reversible drawer when engaged to the birdhouse enclosure. The reversible drawer can be slid into and out of the birdhouse enclosure when desired. Further, the reversible drawer allows for easy cleaning of the multifunctional birdhouse due to the capability to detach the reversible drawer from the birdhouse enclosure when desired.
Abstract: A laying nest comprising boxes (12) having at least a bottom (24), sidewalls (18), a back wall (22), and a roof (20). Further, the laying nest comprises an expulsion system which comprises a shaft (26) which is provided with at least one gear wheel which is fixedly connected with the shaft. An expulsion plate of the expulsion system is rotatably connected with the shaft and via a support shaft is pivotably and slidably connected with the box. The expulsion system further comprises a gear rack (34) which is fixedly arranged in the box and which is configured for cooperation with the gear wheel, such that upon rotation of the shaft, this shaft moves along the gear rack, thereby carrying along the expulsion plate.
Abstract: A portable cat carrier has a sliding floor that momentarily and mildly destabilizes a cat's footing to facilitate transferring the cat in and out of the carrier. The floor is the bottom portion of a movable insert that has a receptacle for receiving the cat. The insert has relatively low side panels to provide the cat with a calming, unrestricted side view. After the cat is lowered into the receptacle, the insert is slid horizontally into an outer housing for containing the cat. When the insert is fully inserted within the housing, a front panel of the insert closes the housing's access opening to prevent the cat from escaping. A back panel of the insert has an elevated impassable rear barrier that prevents the cat from jumping into a trapped area between the insert and the outer housing.
Abstract: An avian shelter comprising a top or bottom cover portion designed to engage with one or more wall sections to form a stackable enclosure, including an access opening adapted to provide privacy and access to the interior of the cage enclosure. Optional complementary locking members are disposed on the outer surfaces to provide the ability to secure one or more said enclosures to each other.
Abstract: An improved poultry coop that facilitates the prevention of entry of predators and the transmission of pathogens to and between the housed birds. In a preferred embodiment, the coop, which advantageously meets bird flu guidelines, includes an insulated house, a covered run coupled to the house, and a covered feed house. All openings are preferably covered with ½? hardware cloth or mesh wire. the same cloth or mesh wire is preferably buried beneath the earth below the coop and coupled to the coop.

Abstract: A carry bag for pets includes a construction that has a general rectangular, parallelepiped configuration and incorporates first and second mesh flaps which may be folded to provide for easy ingress and egress of a pet from the bag. The flaps are designed to be retained in an open condition by means of magnetic catches. The configuration of the carry bag is designed to enhance the comfort of a pet retained therein.
Abstract: An improved poult box for transportation of newly hatched turkey poults. The box has an open top, a bottom joined by opposing sidewalls and at least one box divider. Positioned on the box divider is a removable poult feed tray which rests over the divider and presents feed at approximately eye level of turkey poults.
