Abstract: A portable pet bed apparatus is provided that can be selectively side mountable to a bed assembly. The pet bed apparatus includes a carrier device that defines a bedding space thereof sized and dimensioned to accommodate a domestic pet therein. The pet bed apparatus further includes a mounting assembly having a horizontal portion and a vertical portion that lies closely adjacent to the bed assembly, and a connector assembly on the side of the carrier device for detachably connecting the carrier device to the vertical portion of the mounting assembly. The carrier device can be removed from the mounting assembly, which enables independent functionality as a pet carrier.

Abstract: A pet bag rack, comprising horizontal bars and two groups of relatively disposed side bars. One end of each group of the side bars is hinged to one end of the horizontal bars, and the other end of the side bars is pivoted to a pivot seat. The side bars may rotate around the pivot seat; a limiting and fixing device comprising a revolving shaft, a knob and a limiting turntable is mounted on the pivot seat. The revolving shaft runs through the center of the pivot seat. The knob is arranged at the inner end of the revolving shaft. The limiting turntable is slipped over the revolving shaft.

Abstract: A barrier for a vehicle that comprises a main section adapted to reside in a vehicle footwell and the main section has a width that is defined between opposite first and second ends thereof that is about half of a width of the vehicle footwell. A divider section is disposed substantially perpendicularly to the main section. The divider section is configured to rest on a vehicle seat. The divider section defines a length between opposite first and second ends thereof. The length of the divider section is substantially the distance from one of the first and second ends of the main section to a back of the vehicle seat, whereby the divider section is configured to define first and second discrete areas in the vehicle such that the divider section is located between the first and second discrete areas.

Abstract: A pet abode with sound dampening characteristics comprising an interior space of a pet abode having sufficient dimensions to allow a pet to comfortably reside within the interior space. The interior space is formed from at least three walls where one or more of the walls exhibits sound dampening characteristics. The sound dampening characteristics reduces a one or more sounds originating from a source external to the interior space. That is, the interior space of the pet abode is sound proofed (or sound dampened), allowing a pet to be undisturbed by loud noises outside the interior space.

Abstract: A detachable pet carrier for housing a pet that allows the pet to rest on one or more of its interior surfaces. The pet carrier may include a roof that provides shelter for the rest area in the pet carrier's deployed configuration. The pet carrier may also include one or more bolsters on one or more of its interior surfaces to better define the boundaries of the rest area in the pet carrier's deployed configuration. The pet carrier may also include one or more pockets on its interior and or exterior surfaces.

Abstract: A confinement system and method for confining a pet to a passenger seat inside a vehicle. A first net is suspended in front of the seating surface of the passenger seat. A second net is suspended along the side of the passenger seat between the backrest of the seat and the first net. The first net and second net confine the front and inside edges of the passenger seat. The backrest of the seat and the door of the automobile confine the rear and outside edge of the passenger seat. The result is a confined space centered on the passenger seat. A pet is placed inside the confined space. The pet is prevented from falling off the passenger seat while the automobile is moving by the confinement features.

Abstract: A selectively separable pet housing allows for at least two separable portions to be coupled together to form a cavity between them. In particular, a top portion and a bottom portion may each be selectively coupled to a middle portion or to each other. The top and bottom portions are each configured to have a concave shape whereby, when coupled together, they have a cavity situated between them in which the middle portion may be stored. When the top and bottom portion are each coupled to the middle portion, a pet housing is created in which a pet may be housed.

Abstract: The invention features an animal carrier that is designed to more easily place an animal (e.g., a cat or dog) into the carrier. The carrier features a funnel that can be attached to the body of the carrier, that is sized to permit passage of the animal through the funnel, that is oriented to convey the animal by gravity into the carrier, and that can be removed once the animal has been delivered into the carrier. The invention also features a retrofit funnel that is adapted to be securely attached to an opening of a standard animal carrier.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile pet bed wherein the top and bottom units of the mobile pet bed are reversibly attached to each other. When the top unit is removed from the bottom unit the mobile pet bed functions similarly to a traditional pet bed. When the top unit is attached to the bottom unit the mobile pet bed functions as a pet carrier. Additionally, the top unit of the mobile pet bed has a door portion that can be opened and closed to permit pet ingress and egress as well as permitting easy loading of the mobile pet bed with the animal without necessitating the removal of the top unit from the bottom unit.

Abstract: A multi-compartment pet training system includes a front compartment joined to a rear compartment to define a passage therebetween such that the pet may move freely between the front compartment and the rear compartment. The front compartment includes a front door for ingress and egress of the pet between a surrounding area and the front compartment. The front compartment provides an area in which the pet may eat, drink and sleep. The rear compartment is configured to allow the pet to carry out urinary and/or fecal elimination while its owner is away. As such, the pet may be trained to utilize the rear compartment for carrying out waste elimination activities while utilizing the front compartment for all other activities.

Abstract: A pet transportation device is provided. The pet transportation device is provided whereby the device is easily adaptable to a mobile unit including a bicycle, scooter and/or motorcycle. In an exemplary embodiment, the pet transportation device has at least a wire basket carrier which is adapted to placement and holding of the pet during transport and at least a cover portion which encloses about the head portion of the pet and may be adapted for folding when not desired by the individual. The basket may be removably attached to at least a portion of the handlebars of a mobile unit by a clamping means and may have padded rail support incorporated thereon. Additionally, the pet transport device may additionally have a liner and/or cushion to protect the limbs of the animal from protruding away from the pet transport device.

Abstract: A crate for transporting a plurality of animals particularly horses is formed by a rectangular container to be placed on a supporting base and defined by two side panels and two end panels connected edge to edge. Each panel is defined by a frame comprising upstanding end posts and top and bottom cross rails and a sheet attached to the frame to at least partly close the frame and thus confine the animals within the container. The sheet of at least the side panels is bent to form a horizontally extending outwardly bulged section at least partly along the panel at a height on the panel spaced from a bottom edge and from a top edge and arranged at a height on the panel of the order of 4 feet from the base to receive the body of the animals when standing on the base to provide additional room for the animals without increasing the footprint of the crate.

Abstract: An animal carrier device used in conjunction with a vehicle occupant restraint and a vehicle seat. The device includes a base member having a bottom and a wall extending from the bottom. The wall includes a projection which extends further out than other portions of the wall from the base. The base also forms an open chamber. An enclosure fits into the open chamber and connects to the same through one or more latches, a flange is linked to the projection of the wall of the base member and interacts with the vehicle occupant restraint to confine the base member and the latch enclosure to the vehicle seat.

Abstract: A mobile pet kennel comprising: a plurality of kennel walls connected to form an enclosure; rollers; and a roller positioner, wherein the roller positioner is configured to retain the rollers in a selectable first or second position relative to the kennel walls. The enclosure may include a body and cavity centrally formed therein. The body further may include a base member to maintain the carrying kennel elevated above a ground surface. A plurality of storage compartments may be housed within an uppermost region of the cavity. Each storage compartment may be independently toggled between open and closed positions while the carrying kennel remains statically nested within the cavity. Further, a mechanism may be included for automatically regulating a real-time internal air temperature level within the cavity. The mechanism may operate such that the real-time internal air temperature level may be constantly maintained within a predetermined and safe temperature range during transport procedures.

The top has a door that opens from the top, allowing easier access to the cage than a door that opens from the side.

The system may comprise a kennel module including a base portion mountable on a bed of the cargo space, and the base portion is elongate with opposite ends. The kennel module may include a containment portion defining an interior capable of receiving an animal, with the containment portion being mounted on the base portion and being elongate with opposite ends and sides extending between the ends. The containment portion may be slidable with respect to the base portion such that the containment portion is movable between a retracted position in which the containment portion is substantially fully positioned over the base portion, and an extended position in which the containment portion is at partially cantilevered with respect to the base portion.

A first support strap is affixed proximate the first end of the compartment and provides a pair of retainers on opposite sides of the primary compartment. A second support strap is affixed on a first portion thereof to the second end of the primary compartment and has a second portion thereof forming a loop joined with the first portion. The second portion loops through each of the pair of retainers such that the second portion may form, in a first configuration, handles for carrying the travel bag or be pulled through the retainers toward the front end of the travel bag and form, in a second configuration, a pull loop.

Abstract: A travel carrier suitable for use in transporting a live animal via a mode of transportation, comprises an enclosure of suitable size and shape for a live animal; a power source; a video camera connected to the power source and arranged in the enclosure for capturing a video image of the animal in the enclosure; and an RF transmitter. The transmitter, which is operatively connected to the video camera, transmits a signal representing a video image of the animal to a remote receiver. The carrier may also comprise a GPS unit disposed on or in the enclosure, which is operatively connected to a transmitter, for transmitting a signal representing the location of the carrier to the remote receiver.

Abstract: A portable pet housing for accommodating a pet includes a body including a bottom, a front wall and a rear wall. The front wall and rear wall are attached to the bottom. A sidewall extends between the front wall and the rear wall. The walls define an opening for the body opposite the bottom. The opening is covered by a top which is selectively attachable to the front wall and the rear wall. The top includes support structure for maintaining the front wall and the rear wall substantially perpendicular to the bottom when the top is attached to the front wall and the rear wall. When the top is removed from the front wall and the rear wall, the walls are foldable on top of the bottom wall.

Abstract: An article, including pet collars and leashes, belts, bags and backpacks, has an interchangeable attachment. The article comprises a proximal end, distal end and a central section having at least one connection means appointed to receive the interchangeable attachment. The interchangeable attachment includes a top wall having a show surface and a back wall having a securing member adapted to engage with the connection means of the article for removably attaching the interchangeable attachment to the article. In one embodiment the interchangeable attachments are provided as button-type attachments. In another embodiment, the interchangeable attachment is provided as an elongated attachment portion appointed to substantially cover the central section of the article. The interchangeable attachments have a plethora of designs and may include LED, fiber optic and/or reflective properties to provide aesthetic appeal, enhanced visibility, and increased safety for pedestrians during nighttime or dusk hours.

The door assembly comprises a pivot pin assembly integrally formed with the door and a hinge secured to the enclosure adjacent the opening. The pivot pin assembly preferably comprises a vertically oriented pivot pin integrally formed with upper and lower horizontal support members extending from upper and lower ends of the pivot pin across a portion of the door. The pivot pin is fitted within a hinge barrel formed within the hinge in a manner to permit the pivot pin to rotate within the barrel such that the door may be pivoted from an open to a closed position.

Abstract: A crate apparatus suitable for housing and transporting dogs and other animals includes a crate body having a front wall, back wall, two side walls, a top, and a bottom. The front and back walls each preferably have a hinged door with pinch-type fasteners, enabling access from either end of the crate. The interior of the crate may be partitioned by selectively installing one or more dividers substantially spanning the side walls, top, and bottom, with each resulting section of the divided crate being accessible by its own door. At least one side wall preferably includes an integral slot, seat belt pass-through, or other means for attachment of the crate to a vehicle seat belt for secure transport.

Abstract: An animal carrier for installation into an automotive seat is described. The animal carrier has a frame that is formed by the attachment of the bottom edge of a substantially vertical back panel to the back facing edge of a substantially horizontal floor panel, and the further attachment of a spine to both the top edge of the vertical back panel and the forward facing edge of the floor panel. The enclosure of the animal carrier can be formed by the attachment of two side panels, and optionally a front panel, to the frame. The animal carrier can be mounted onto an automotive seat by the passage of an installation belt though a belt path or channel formed through either the back or floor panel.

Abstract: An animal carrier for mounting above the rear wheel of a cycle such as a motorcycle may be obtained by converting a motorcycle luggage carrier to an animal carrier. The motorcycle carrier mounts and bottom section may be equipped with a detachable top section equipped with extended sidewalls ported with ventilating ports and roofed canopy to protect the transported animal from the elements.

Abstract: The carrier device for saddles is a device intended for mounting behind a saddle and provides a way for a horseback rider to carry a dog or other items that might not be suitable for a traditional saddlebag or backpack. The carrier device for saddles may be made from flex tree material, and has four vertical sides and an open top. Holes in the front and rear walls of the device are sized to accommodate the head and legs of a dog. A harness is provided inside the device that secures a dog in a prone position on the back of a horse. The device attaches to the saddle girth. Two inserts are provided that can accommodate different sizes of dogs, or to allow other items to be carried when a dog is not aboard.

The pet shelter can be configured for use as a pet entertainer, and also a carrier.

The motorcycle carrier mounts and bottom section may be equipped with a detachable top section equipped with extended sidewalls ported with ventilating ports and roofed canopy to protect the transported animal from the elements.

Abstract: A portable self erecting pet enclosure which provides protection to domesticated animals when the animals are introduced into hostile or new environments. The pet enclosure design has a support system and a nylon webbing cover. The support system is constructed of two concentric flat spring wire loops each having substantially the same diameter. The support system has a foundational bottom loop and a supporting frame loop. The foundational bottom loop defines the outer perimeter of the floor and the supporting frame loop is arranged in a saddleback configuration to support the roof. The supports are contained within support sleeves which are sewn onto the nylon webbing. The pet enclosure apparatus has a small insertion port and a large extraction port. The small insertion port is for easily inserting the animal into the enclosure. The large extraction port is designed so that the pet owner can easily remove the animal.

Abstract: A pet travel box for houses a pet during travel in a safe, comfortable manner. A plurality of ventilation slots and openings along the sides and back of the box to provide cross-ventilation therein. A sliding shade, panel or cover readily opens or closes the slots so that the pet can be protected during inclement weather or the like. A top portal, integrated within the box/container, can be placed in an opened or closed condition that maximizes the container's ventilation and allows the pet to see outside of the portal. A dish assembly delivers water hydration and/food to the pet during long journeys. Improved airflow is obtained. The portal, plural ventilation slots and openings along the sides and back of the box, promote cross-ventilation.

Abstract: A vehicle-suspended pet trailer is disclosed that includes at least one entry and exit facilitator and/or at least one storage tray, accessible through a cargo access door at the top of the trailer, for storing and transporting pet-related and other cargo. The pet trailer comprises a pet carrying box attached to the top of a mounting bar that can be docked with a trailer hitch attached to a vehicle. The trailer further comprises at least one entry and exit door on at least one side of the pet carrying box. In preferred embodiments, an entry and exit facilitator, such as a ramp or staircase, can be deployed between the ground and the at least one door when the pet trailer is docked with a vehicle and can be telescopically withdrawn into a door when not deployed. In some embodiments a trailer hitch ball can be docked with the mounting bar.

Abstract: A pet crate cooler comprising a tub adapted to hold ice, a plurality of tubes or fins adapted to receive melted ice water from the tub, and a fan adapted to blow air across the outer surface of the fins or tubes and into the pet crate cavity.
