Abstract: A soft tissue mobilization device having an elongated body. The elongated body is a generally right cylindrical member that has a first end and a second end. The cross-sectional configuration is substantially uniform. Surface variations may be present along the length thereof. The first and second ends may include a round, with a flat region there within. A stand upon which the soft tissue mobilization device can be positioned is likewise disclosed. Methods of use are likewise disclosed.
Abstract: A disclosed hanging target may include a hanging bracket and a plurality of suspension lines coupled to the hanging bracket. The hanging target may also include a plurality of target holders. A destructible target may be disposed above and carried by a target holder allowing a portion of each suspension line to extend outward around the destructible target. When the destructible target is destroyed by a projectile that hits the destructible target, the portion of each suspension line may rebound to the generally vertical orientation.
Abstract: The invention relates to a poultry keeping facility comprising at least one nest box, a first colony surface having a perforated first floor area and a second colony surface having a second floor area for spreading litter. According to the invention, a perch facility having at least one perching rod is arranged at a height above the first or second floor area. The perching rod is movable relative to the first or second floor area, wherein the perching rod is movable from a first position to a second position in which the perch facility covers a smaller area of the first or second floor area than in the first position.
Abstract: A raptor perch apparatus for use at the top of a power pole for raptors to perch and nest without contacting the power lines supported by the power pole. In a preferred embodiment, the apparatus comprises a hub bracket having a center member received over the top of the power pole and a plurality of socket-like lateral brackets extending outwardly from the center member to support a plurality of lateral support members extending outwardly from the pole, preferably at a slight upward angle. The proximal end of the lateral support members is received in the lateral brackets. A guy wire or the like is received through a ring member on an end cap at the distal end of each lateral support member to circumvent the distal ends thereof. If needed, a pole top extension can be used to raise the apparatus above the top of the power pole.
Abstract: A bird swing includes a substantially horizontal perch for a bird, at least two substantially rigid and substantially vertical perch stabilizer bars connected to the perch, at least two substantially rigid and substantially vertical stabilizing bars movably connected to the at least two perch stabilizer bars, at least two flexible cords connecting upper portions of the at least two stabilizing bars to a support, and at least one substantially horizontal cross member connected to the at least two flexible cords and configured to maintain the at least two flexible cords an approximately constant distance apart.
Abstract: A poultry raising system includes a poultry house and facilities attached to the poultry house. The facilities include lighting facilities irradiating poultry with light; and the lighting facilities include a semiconductor light source, for irradiation with light having peak wavelength in the range of 550 to 650 nm emitted from the semiconductor light source. The light in this wavelength range has positive influence on sexual maturation, appetite, need for sleep and condition of internal organs. Light of shorter peak wavelength includes ultraviolet rays that cause stress on the poultry and attract insects. Light of longer wavelength includes infrared rays that increase temperature of the poultry and of the poultry house. It is possible to emit light having peak wavelength in a specific range effective to growth and fattening. Because of high electricity-to-light conversion efficiency, high economic efficiency can be attained, and CO2 emission can be reduced.

Abstract: A swiftlet breeding facility, for use in creating and harvesting edible bird's nests. The facility includes sub-systems for injecting live insect and worm prey, and water, into an aerial enclosure to provide a feeding system imitative of a natural swiftlet feeding environment.
Abstract: A heated bird perch includes a cylindrical housing having a first end and a second end. The second end has a flange with a threaded member extending from the flange. The cylindrical housing is formed of a heat conductive material. An electrical heating element is encased in the cylindrical housing. A temperature sensor is encased in the cylindrical housing. A controller is coupled to the temperature probe and to the electrical heating element. The controller is preset to maintain a fixed temperature. A plug is placed inside an exposed end of the threaded member.
Abstract: The bird perch is to be worn about a person's upper arm and includes a generally curved, rigid band, a strap that releasably secures the band to the person's upper arm, and a wooden perch that extends generally horizontally outwardly from the band. The band fits onto the person's upper arm and includes an outer layer of rigid material and an inner layer of foam material that contacts the person's upper arm.
Abstract: A garment for the transporting, training and displaying pet birds on the shoulder of their owners. The garment consists of two front panels and a back panel joined at the shoulders with the front panels removably attachable to each other using adjustable fasteners. At the apex of the shoulders are removable wooden dowels that are attachable with ties or similar mounting, which provide perches for the pet birds to hold onto. The ties or similar fasteners also provide attachment to the garment for toys and paraphernalia to entertain the bird and to adorn the garment. This garment allows that the bird has a natural removable wooden perch to hold onto and the owner has the ability to hold and transport his pet bird without damaging or soiling his clothing. Also, the owner can remove the perches for laundering the garment and the perches may be provided in a plurality of different diameters to allow mounting of the appropriate sized perch for the grip size of the bird.
Abstract: A sitting pole for poultry having a surface designed substantially straight on an incline, forcing the poultry perching on the sitting pole to sit in a defined alignment. The inclined plane is set at an angle of approximately 35°. The surface has a U-shaped profile with a U-base forming the inclined plane. U-legs are provided and are bent off from the U-base. The U-base can be formed by two surface sections that are set at different angles from each other.
