Abstract: A device having a frame, a grooming unit connected to the frame, a rotatable brush belt within the grooming unit, and a drive operatively connected to the brush belt for rotating the brush belt. The brush belt is held at an angle relative to the skin lying beneath the coat so that hairs of the coat, are brushed away from the skin and preventing jamming of the belt. The device also includes a guard which assists in lifting the hairs of the coat away from the skin and further prevents the hairs from being wrapped around the moving parts of the device. The brush belt is held at an angle relative to the skin by a curved spacer so that loose hairs can be properly suctioned away when the device is in use.

Abstract: A grooming device for animals includes a glove and one or more grooming pads affixed (possibly molded) thereto. The glove is made from anti-static material, and may additionally be treated with a spray or solution, that is resistant to electrostatic accumulation and discharge caused by friction during the grooming process. The grooming pads include multiple protrusions that are used to cling to and collect extraneous debris and hair from the animal's body and coat. Due to the materials and the placement of the molded pad, the glove facilitates hand movement dexterity and reach. The device also allows the user increased tactility between the thumb and index finger by keeping them free of coverage by the grooming surface. The device may include a soft material on the back of the glove for grooming and brushing sensitive areas of the animal's coat.

Abstract: A hair dye applicator operable to assist a user in the application of hair dye to the hair on a human head. The hair dye applicator includes a body that has a handle portion and a brush assembly. The brush assembly includes a lower portion that has alternating rows of rigid comb bristles and brushes. The brush assembly further includes and upper portion having a hair dye assembly with an upper section and a lower section. The upper section and lower section of the hair dye assembly are operably coupled and form an interior volume configured to store hair dye therein. The upper section is movable with respect to the lower section wherein the downward vertical movement of the upper section facilitates the evacuation of hair dye from the interior volume. A piston coupled to the upper section is operable to move hair dye through a plurality of apertures.

Abstract: A pet grooming tool including a handle and long tines terminating in short, shallow catchment hooks. When the tines are drawn through the pet's fur, the catchment hooks untie tangled and matted fur incrementally without snagging and compounding the whole mass and without cutting through or removing attached fur. The hooks include a blunt leading edge that grabs and unties fur entanglements without cutting the fur. The long tines deliver the catchment hooks to the under coat while leaving the guard coat alone. The handle is ergonomic with a contoured shape for ease of use, effective engagement of the tines with the fur and a pleasing grooming experience for the pet owner and the pet.

Abstract: A multi-pin grooming brush having multi-sectioned bristles on the brush pad to provide a triple combing action. The brush has an outer layer of fixed pin tufts which encircle the exterior of the brush pad and preferably are metal pin tufts. The brush has a middle layer of flexible tufts preferably made of pure boar bristles and which are surrounded by the fixed pin tufts. As the brush is moved through a pet's hair or human hair, the outer layer of fixed pin tufts gently yet thoroughly detangles the coat, removes larger particles and provides a gentle massage effect, then the middle layer of pure boar bristles conditions the hair by distributing natural oils, leaving a healthy shine and a protective layer over the pet's coat, and then the opposite section of fixed pin tufts passes through the hair once again to smooth and separate the conditioned hair.

Abstract: The invention is an apparatus for grooming an animal having a brush head, the brush head having a plurality of bristles, each bristle having a midpoint and an endpoint, where the bristles are in general perpendicular orientation to the brush head, a cleaning plate, in general parallel orientation to the brush head, the cleaning plate able to move from a contracted to an extended position, the cleaning plate further having material removed to allow the bristles to protrude through the cleaning plate when it is in the retracted position; and a mechanism for extending and contracting the cleaning plate, wherein the cleaning plate has a bottom surface and the bottom surface does not extend past the bristle endpoint when the cleaning plate is in the extended position. In one embodiment, at least some bristles are wire, and in further embodiments the wire bristles have round coated tips. The brush head may further have a water outlet and a hose coupling for intake and dispensing of liquids.

It contains a vibration device for messaging pets that vibrates the head and bristles, as well as a push plate to remove hair or fur from the bristles. A power interrupting mechanism includes pressure sensors with a pressure comparison circuit coupled thereto. A switch is electrically coupled to the first temperature maintaining mechanism. The timer comparison circuit includes a processor, a memory electrically coupled to the processor, and a logic gate electrically coupled to the processor. Such a memory includes software instructions, and a logic gate operates a toggle switch.

Abstract: A self-cleanable hairbrush for use on animals or humans is described that has a frame with strands stretched across it. In one embodiment, the frame is attached to the brush by a pivoting hinge and may be pivoted by the hinge to a position in which the frame is seated flat against a bristle-side of the brush, allowing the strands to slip between the bristles and the frame to be secured in place. As the brush is used, loose hairs, fur, or other debris may become entangled in the bristles. Releasing the frame and allowing it to swing up through the bristles gathers the entangled debris and removes it from bristles, allowing it to be disposed of. The frame and strands may then be re-seated against the bristle-side of the brush, leaving the brush cleaned and ready for re-use.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a combination animal grooming tool consisting of a device with a handle connected to a head with a rotating unit having two or more grooming fixtures. The first fixture is a rake-brush section consisting of a plurality of prongs and the second fixture is a de-shedding unit that is solid stainless steel tapered with a plurality of teeth spaced 0.025 inches apart. The stainless steel de-shedding unit is set into a boss on the rotating unit. An ergonomic tool handle has an orifice in the distal end for hanging in a storage location. A plurality or ribs extend the length of the handle giving a comfortable non-slip surface. The handle connects to the tool head section by the means of the tool neck. The tool head section is composed of a first side member and a second side member with a supporting central web between them. The rake-brush section of the rotating unit has a plurality of prongs in one or more lines across the rotating unit.

Abstract: A handholdable ion emitting pet grooming brush for grooming pets is provided. It includes a body having an air intake on the top side of the body. A bristle unit is removably attached to the bottom side of the body and there is an opening in the middle of the bristle unit, which opens to an air outlet trough on the bottom side of the body. The air outlet trough is adapted to be similar in dimension to the opening. An ion generator is disposed in the body for creating an air flow that travels from the air intake to the air outlet trough. The ion generator includes a high voltage pulse generator, a first electrode located below the air intake, and a second electrode located above the air outlet trough. The second electrode includes a plurality of spaced second electrodes each coupled to the high voltage pulse generator. The air flow includes ionized air traveling from the first electrode between and past the spaced second electrodes and through the opening in the middle of the bristle unit.

Abstract: A method for mounting, on a support, at least a microcircuit in the form of a chip produced on a very thin semiconductor substrate. An interconnection point is provided at the chip in the form of a bump contact in weldable material. The bump contact has a welding surface in the same plane as at least one of the chip faces. An interconnection pad is provided on the support that is designed to be welded with a corresponding bump contact of the chip. The welding face of each bump contact of the chip is placed opposite each corresponding interconnection pad of the support. Each bump contact of the chip is welded with each corresponding interconnection pad of the support. The method can be applied to a device such as a chip card.

Abstract: A vacuum pet brush for collecting debris loosened by a grooming brush or comb. The vacuum pet brush includes a main housing that has an open end and closed end. The closed end of the main housing has a plurality of venting apertures. Abstract: A large animal, such as a cow, is brushed by a system that includes a brush mounted on a frame that is pivotally mounted on a structure such as a stall adjacent to the animal. A motor is connected to the brush to rotate the brush and is activated when the animal presses against the brush. A timer mechanism automatically de-activates the motor after a pre-set interval so another, separate, force must be applied to the brush to re-start the cycle. The brush is moved by the animal pressing against the brush to automatically accommodate different animal sizes.

Abstract: A pet therapeutic glove for use with or without a power-operated massager is disclosed for grooming and/or massaging a pet. The glove may be used with a power-operated massager which is inserted into a pocket on the back side of the glove. The glove has openings for fingers and thumb to contact the animal and a palm side with bristles for collecting hair and/or further facilitating massaging and/or grooming the animal.
