    Abstract: A device having a frame, a grooming unit connected to the frame, a rotatable brush belt within the grooming unit, and a drive operatively connected to the brush belt for rotating the brush belt. The brush belt is held at an angle relative to the skin lying beneath the coat so that hairs of the coat, are brushed away from the skin and preventing jamming of the belt. The device also includes a guard which assists in lifting the hairs of the coat away from the skin and further prevents the hairs from being wrapped around the moving parts of the device. The brush belt is held at an angle relative to the skin by a curved spacer so that loose hairs can be properly suctioned away when the device is in use.

    Abstract: A grooming device for animals includes a glove and one or more grooming pads affixed (possibly molded) thereto. The glove is made from anti-static material, and may additionally be treated with a spray or solution, that is resistant to electrostatic accumulation and discharge caused by friction during the grooming process. The grooming pads include multiple protrusions that are used to cling to and collect extraneous debris and hair from the animal's body and coat. Due to the materials and the placement of the molded pad, the glove facilitates hand movement dexterity and reach. The device also allows the user increased tactility between the thumb and index finger by keeping them free of coverage by the grooming surface. The device may include a soft material on the back of the glove for grooming and brushing sensitive areas of the animal's coat.

When the tines are drawn through the pet's fur, the catchment hooks untie tangled and matted fur incrementally without snagging and compounding the whole mass and without cutting through or removing attached fur. The hooks include a blunt leading edge that grabs and unties fur entanglements without cutting the fur. The long tines deliver the catchment hooks to the under coat while leaving the guard coat alone. The handle is ergonomic with a contoured shape for ease of use, effective engagement of the tines with the fur and a pleasing grooming experience for the pet owner and the pet.

As the brush is moved through a pet's hair or human hair, the outer layer of fixed pin tufts gently yet thoroughly detangles the coat, removes larger particles and provides a gentle massage effect, then the middle layer of pure boar bristles conditions the hair by distributing natural oils, leaving a healthy shine and a protective layer over the pet's coat, and then the opposite section of fixed pin tufts passes through the hair once again to smooth and separate the conditioned hair.

    Abstract: A self-cleanable hairbrush for use on animals or humans is described that has a frame with strands stretched across it. In one embodiment, the frame is attached to the brush by a pivoting hinge and may be pivoted by the hinge to a position in which the frame is seated flat against a bristle-side of the brush, allowing the strands to slip between the bristles and the frame to be secured in place. As the brush is used, loose hairs, fur, or other debris may become entangled in the bristles. Releasing the frame and allowing it to swing up through the bristles gathers the entangled debris and removes it from bristles, allowing it to be disposed of. The frame and strands may then be re-seated against the bristle-side of the brush, leaving the brush cleaned and ready for re-use.

The second electrode includes a plurality of spaced second electrodes each coupled to the high voltage pulse generator. The air flow includes ionized air traveling from the first electrode between and past the spaced second electrodes and through the opening in the middle of the bristle unit.
