Abstract: A grooming tool for a pet is disclosed. The grooming tool comprises a handle having a grip portion, a comb comprising teeth and including a blade for combing and removing shed hair from a pet where the comb located at a front end of the handle. The grooming tool also includes a hair removal member for removing shed hair from the comb, wherein the hair removal member is moveable in a direction corresponding to an extension direction of the teeth of the comb, a toggle button movable along a surface of the handle between a first position and a second position and a linkage assembly linking the toggle button to the hair removal member to control movement of the hair removal member; wherein when the toggle button is located at the first position, a front end surface of the hair removal member is located in a retracted position and when the toggle button is moved to the second position, the front end surface of the hair removal member is moved forward to an extended position to remove hair from the comb.
Abstract: A hide gripping device has an elongated head, a plurality of teeth which are connected to the head in a row that extends generally parallel to a longitudinal axis of the head, and a handle which is connected to the head and is oriented in a vertical plane that extends generally perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis. The handle includes an elongated hand grip which extends in a first horizontal plane that is vertically spaced apart from a second horizontal plane in which the longitudinal axis lies, and the teeth extend from the head in a direction opposite the hand grip.
Abstract: The fish scaling system is a device having an elongated body with a first side and a second side and a proximate end and a distal end. The proximate end forms a handle and the distal end has three large circular serrated scrapers on the first side and three small circular serrated scrapers on the second side for removing scales from a fish. The large and small circular scrapers are replaceable when they become worn.
Abstract: An apparatus and blade assembly includes a first array of single-edged parallel metal blades, each blade in the first array having rounded ends with a sharpened interior curve, and a second array of parallel double-edged blades with a sharpened interior curve, both arrays being fixably attached such that the first array and the second array are sufficiently spaced to create a blade assembly. A two-sided blade assembly includes a first shorter projecting side including a first plurality of blades configured with interior cutting curves, the first plurality of blades including single-edged blades; and a second projecting side coupled to the first shorter projecting side, the second projecting side including a second plurality of blades having a decreased number of blades as compared to the first plurality of blades, each blade in the second plurality of blades being double-edged including a blade edge for the first shorter projecting side and a second blade edge configured for the second projecting side.
Abstract: An article for grooming an animal includes an elongated handle and a plurality of dematting blades, each of which has a sharp edge for aiding in removing mats from the fur of an animal. The article further includes a comb having a plurality of combing tines for combing the fur of an animal. Most advantageously, selective positioning structure is provided for selectively positioning the article in one of a first grooming position that is characterized by the dematting blades being operatively positioned while said comb is retracted, and a second grooming position that is characterized by the comb being operatively positioned while the dematting blades are retracted.
