Abstract: A pet watering system. The pet watering system includes a housing and a waterspout. The waterspout is connected to a water source and is configured to allow water to stream from the water source to the exterior of the housing. The pet watering system also includes a trough, where the trough is configured to receive water that has streamed from the waterspout. The pet watering system further includes a proximity sensor, where the proximity sensor is configured to allow a pet to control the flow of water from the reservoir to the waterspout.

Abstract: A water dispenser actuating device for activating flow of water from a dispenser to a bowl includes an actuator that is configured to be selectively coupled to a water dispenser so that the actuator is operationally coupled to a flow valve of the water dispenser. The actuator is configured to be selectively actuated by at least one of a user and an animal, via application of a downward force to the actuator, to actuate the flow valve so that water flows to a bowl of the water dispenser.

Abstract: A water diffuser that extends from the discharge outlet of a pet fountain, for receiving water from the outlet of the pet fountain's water pump, wherein the diffuser includes a perforate tubular diffuser section that can be releasably coupled or otherwise anchored to part of the fountain by a connecting or coupling section that preferably is tubular and imperforate. The diffuser can include a water treatment disposed within the diffuser that is dispensed or released into water flowing through the diffuser. The diffuser may also include a filter for removing contaminants from water flowing through the water. Where used together with a water treatment, the filter can be disposed within the diffuser upstream of the water treatment for filtering water flowing through the diffuser before treating the flowing water.

Abstract: A cat operated water fountain adapted for attaching to an indoor water faucet with a water sink. The water fountain includes a water diverter for mounting on the water faucet. The fountain also includes a water tube attached to the water diverter and to a pressure valve mounted on a pressure pad. The pressure pad is adapted for placing on a counter top next to the water faucet. Further, the fountain includes an inverted “J” shaped water spigot. A lower end of the water spigot is attached to the pressure valve. An upper end of the water spigot is placed over the water sink. When a cat stands on top of the pressure pad, the weight of the cat opens the pressure valve and water is directed through the water tube, through the pressure valve and through the water spigot for providing the cat a fresh drink of water.

Abstract: The foot-operated, portable faucet includes a faucet spout that extends vertically from a housing. The housing includes at least one mounting bracket thereon such that said housing is adapted to be secured to a ground surface. The housing includes a female garden hose connection that is in fluid communication with a water valve. The water valve is also in fluid communication with the faucet spout. The water valve is controlled via a foot pedal that is pivotably engaged with respect to a side surface of the housing. When in use, the foot pedal is depressed in order for the water valve to open fluid communication from the female garden hose connection to the water spout. An alternative embodiment may include an auxiliary male garden hose connection. Other embodiments may utilize a faucet spout of varying heights that extend upwardly from the housing.

Abstract: A animal drinking assembly includes a base that is positionable in an animal's environment. An interior of the base is exposed to the animal's environment. A container is coupled to the base. The container contains a fluid. A spout is operationally coupled to the container. The spout dispenses the fluid when the animal engages the spout. The spout is positioned proximate the interior of the base so the base captures spilled fluid. A filter is coupled to the base so the filter absorbs the spilled fluid in the base. A fluid tube is operationally coupled between the container and the filter. A pump is operationally coupled to the fluid tube. The pump urges the spilled fluid through the filter and into the container so the spilled fluid is filtered and returned to the container.

The apparatus comprises a base member and a housing member engageable with an upper surface of the base member. Such housing member has a predetermined configuration and is formed of a predetermined material. At least one tubular member is disposed within the housing member, a first end of the at least one tubular member extends outwardly from a bottom portion of the housing member for engagement with such source of water and a second end of the at least one tubular member extends outwardly through an upper surface of the housing member. A water valve is disposed within the at least one tubular member for controlling water flow.

Abstract: A weatherproof pet feeder (12) has an enclosure (14) pivotally mounted to a feeder base (16) by a hinge (18). Latches (22) secure the enclosure (14) in a downward position on the feeder base (16). The feeder base (16) as two bowl sockets (34, 36). The bowl socket (34) has an electric heater coil (58) for heating a water bowl (38). The feeder base (16) is raised above a ground surface on support legs (44). The support legs (44) have mounting feet (46), tubular leg sections (72) and insecticide bands (96). The support legs (44) are sealed on lower ends by nipples (48) for containing weighting material which prevents the weatherproof feeder (12) from being overturned. The feeder base (16) has tie down loops (52) and the mounting feet (46) have apertures (86) for receiving stakes (88) for securing the weatherproof pet feeder (12) to the ground surface.

Abstract: The freezeless method for watering livestock, in one embodiment, is a method and means to provide water to livestock using a well, trough and a piston pump that is activated and powered by the animal. The animal uses its nose to push a plate on a lever apparatus that is attached to the pump. The pushing motion causes a rod to move the piston pump, which in turn raises water to the surface via piping into the trough where the animal drinks the water. The animal continues to pump the lever apparatus until the desired amount of water is consumed. By using a drain means and insulation means, the apparatus operates in freezing temperatures without the use of a power or heat source.

Abstract: A freeze resistant animal watering installation includes a trough and a substantially vertical flow tube which provides water under pressure to the trough upon a valve actuator being activated by an animal accessing the trough. Any excess water is drained to a storage reservoir installed underground below frost level. A venturi is positioned on the flow tube in fluid communication with the storage reservoir, such that the flow of water along the flow tube serves to draw water from the storage reservoir.

Abstract: A portable, pet-actuated drinking fountain includes a reservoir container received in a housing and a movable platform which is depressed against a spring when a pet steps on it. Downward movement of the platform by the pet closes a switch that connects battery power to a pump that provides a gentle bubbling of water from the container via a vertical spigot reachable by the pet. Excess water drains back into the reservoir container through a filter screen. When the pet steps back off the movable platform, the pump is deactivated. One or more movable platforms may be associated with a single reservoir container and arrange to actuate the pump.

Abstract: A pet watering fountain including a box-shaped housing, a water supplyer, a hose, two pipes, a control valve unit (body), a helical or expansion spring (spring), a bowl, a drain, and a pedal. A thirsty dog walks onto the spring-biased pedal. The spring-biased pedal is then lowered to the floor of the housing which actuates a lever on the control valve unit. As a result, water flows from an outside hose bib into a garden hose, through a first pipe into a valve unit, then into a second pipe which fills into an elevated bowl.

Water flows from pressure activated valve (32) through a flow tube (44) which is connected to a rigid tube (46) which extends through a hole (48) in platform (4). Rigid tube (46) directs water into a bowl (50) attached to platform (4), said bowl (50) having a bottom (51) having a hole (53) located over a drainage bore (52) whereby water entering bowl (50) is drained away from said device through drain hose (60).

Abstract: A water dispensing device utilizing a trough which is fed by a faucet having a valve which controls the flow of water from a pressure source. A platform having first and second end portions is positioned adjacent the trough. One end of the platform is suspended above the ground surface. The valve of the faucet is regulated by movement of the second end portion of the platform in relation to the ground surface.

Abstract: The invention presented herein comprises an animal-activated watering device which is designed to maintain a high standard of sanitation. The device includes a reservoir for holding drinking water for the animal which is totally drained after the animal's use. The reservoir may be constructed of stainless steel or other smooth materials which allow the reservoir to completely drain thus preventing stagnant or contaminated water from being available for drinking by the animal.
