Abstract: An adjustable animal harness designed to apply pressure to an animal's body and tug at its collar when it pulls against its leash, inducing the animal to exhibit good behavior when being walked. The harness attaches to an animal collar via an adjustable strap designed to accommodate animals of different sizes. The adjustable strap has a ring on one end to which a second strap is also attached. The second strap wraps around the body of the animal and is passed through the ring. On the other end of the second strap is a smaller ring which can pass through the larger ring. When wrapped around the body of an animal and passed through the larger ring, a leash can attach to the second strap via the smaller ring. The harness tightens around an animal's body and tugs at its collar when the animal pulls against the leash. As the animal pulls against the leash with more exertion, the harness becomes tighter around its body and more resistance is applied to its collar.

Abstract: An animal restraint system including a body harness and a removable control strap assembly. The control strap assembly may include no-pull or no jump/run modules. The body harness includes three adjustable straps that fit over the animal's back, in front of the chest, and underneath and behind the front legs, and two leg straps that encircle the animal's front legs. The no-pull module includes a strap for connecting a leash to the front leg straps. Pulling force is transferred to the animal's front legs, thereby reducing its ability to pull. The no-jump/run module includes hind leg straps that encircle the animal's hind legs and are connected to the corresponding front leg straps by connecting straps. A rear back strap extends across the back of the animal. The design works by limiting the range of motion of the front legs relative to the hind legs to inhibit jumping and running.

Abstract: A restraint is described that may be constructed as a harness. A generally tube-shaped sleeve having a main portion has at least one hole formed therein. At least one flap extends from a first side of the main portion and attaches to a second side of the main portion. The at least one flap completes a hole that receives a leg of a wearer of the restraint. A pair of drawstrings is provided wherein each drawstring is attached to a different side of the main portion. Each drawstring can be configured to be coupled together, typically using a latching mechanism. The drawstrings adjust the fit of the restraint to the girth of the wearer of the restraint. A loop on the main portion of the harness permits fastening of a leash to the restraint.

Abstract: A harness for inhibiting an animal from straining against a leash and inducing the animal to come to a halt or to a walk or run at a pace acceptable to the animal handler is provided. The harness may include a longitudinal strap having a set of loop straps extending from the longitudinal strap for placing around the body of the animal. Each loop strap in the set of loop straps may be adjustable to fit the size of the animal on which it is placed so that the harness may be suitable for animals of varying sizes. A continuous cord may be secured to the set of loop straps defining a front restraining member and a back restraining member. Pulling upwards on the cord causes the front and back restraining members to pull inward applying pressure to the front and back legs of the animal to restrain the animal.

Abstract: A non-pull leash system including a collar, a leash, and a karabiner attached to the proximal end of a clip. In some embodiments, karabiner has at least one gap and at least one gate. The distal end of the clip is attached to the collar and the proximal end of the leash is attached to the karabiner by way of the gate. In use, the collar is secured to a neck of an animal and the distal end of the leash is wrapped down the first side of the animal, around the upper torso of the animal, and up the other side of the animal. The distal end of the leash is then received by the at least one gap of the karabiner, resulting in a slip-knot at the karabiner. The non-pull leash system prevents a subject animal from pulling excessively against its collar and leash and, in turn, improves the handler's ability to control the animal.
