Abstract: A combined harness and leash device is disclosed. The device may comprise a one-piece buckleless pet harness, constructed from braided rope or other suitable material. Useful materials of construction may include natural or synthetic fibers and may include recycled fibers. The harness may consist of one continuous loop to prevent choking or strangulation. A slip assembly is used to create two adjustable loops that fit around a pet's front legs and wrap back through the slip assembly to form a leash or lead. When applying the harness, pet owners may enlarge one loop at a time in order to slip the pet's forelegs into place. Further, the harness may be ornamented with decorative gems, rhinestones, and other design elements for an enhanced look. The harness is offered in assorted colors as needed, as well as various sizes to suit different dog breeds.
Abstract: A secondary restraint for restraining an animal in the event of the failure of a primary restraint. The secondary restraint preferably includes a length of nylon fabric having a ring on one end and a releasable hook on the other. The ring is sized so that the hook will fit through the ring. In use, the length of fabric is wrapped around the neck of the animal to be restrained, and the hook is passed through the ring. The hook is then attached to a ring on the primary restraint. If the primary restraint, such as a collar or harness, slips from the animal, the leash attached to the ring on the primary restraint will pull freely, tightening the secondary restraint and preventing the escape of the animal being restrained.
Abstract: A training device for preventing a batter from overstriding and causing a batter to feel an attempt to overstride is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device includes a length of material, one-half of the length of which is approximately equal to a maximum desired stride length for a batter. The ends of the material are joined at a central location, so that the material forms a loop. A pair of adjustable sliding rings are provided along the material, and each adjustment member cooperates with a portion of material to form respective, separate ankle loops. The adjustment members are slid along the material toward the central location to define relatively large ankle loops through which a user may pass his or her feet, and thereafter, the adjustment members are slid toward the respective ankles to snugly fit around the user's ankles.
Abstract: A sport training device which has a pair of straps which are secured around the user's ankles. The straps are connected by a resilient band and the straps have a tab which folds over the strap to secure the straps and prevent accidental disengagement of the straps.
Abstract: A handcuff comprises a pair of lockable bracelet members (10, 11), pivotably connected to one another by way of a connecting member (12) wherein is disposed a catch member (29) engagable with the bracelet members to hold them relative to one another in an extended position so that the handcuff may be used as a rigid handcuff, the catch member being disengagable from the bracelet members to enable the handcuff to be folded.
