  • Patent number: 10993411
Abstract: A partition for an animal includes a wire panel having an edge rod, a dual axes swivel connector and a wire member is disclosed. The dual axes swivel connector is pivotally connected to the edge rod of the wire panel. The wire member is mountable to a first structure. The second groove of the dual axes swivel connected is receive the wire member for forming a hinge so that the wire panel may partition a first area from a second area.

  • Patent number: 10905090
Abstract: A control device which, when it is installed as part of a fence, allows a small animal to pass from a first side of the fence to the other side of the fence, but prevents an animal which has passed through the device from returning to the first side of the fence. The control device can comprise (1) a mouth which (i) is exposed on the first side of the fence and (ii) has an open cross-section, and (2) an extending passage which extends away from the mouth to an exit. The extending passage can narrow as it extends from the mouth to the exit.

  • Patent number: 9797193
Abstract: A wildlife access fence or gate may include at least one pass-through section having a guard attached thereto. The pass-through section may be a jump-through section and a jump guard attached thereto that defines a jump height and jump span that selectively allows wildlife to leap over and/or through the fence while preventing cattle from crossing the fence. The fence or gate may include a crawl-through section and a crawl guard that selectively allows wildlife to crawl under and/or through the fence while preventing cattle from crossing the fence.

  • Publication number: 20100224140
Abstract: A method and a system for measuring animal's height is disclosed. The method, and the system as well, is comprised of the following steps: allowing the animal to pass through a passage with measurement-references; capturing plurality of images of the animal while the animal is passing; on each image of the captured images applying the following steps: filtering the background from the image; applying imaging-process technique on the lower area of the measuring-image to recognize the location of the legs; defining a vertical slice of the measuring-image, in which the back's contour of the animal—from neck to tail—appears and applying imaging processing and mathematical calculations to obtain the real height, as defined, of the animal.

  • Patent number: 7128024
Abstract: A system and method for measuring an animal includes a light source and an optical source. The light source, which is preferably an array of monochromatic light emitting diodes, at least partially backlights one or more of the animal's legs. The optical sensor or device, which is preferably a single dimension camera or charged-coupled device, opposes the light source and obtains an image that includes silhouettes of one or more legs of the animal. A processor, such as a computer with software and data storage, determines measurements, such as the approximate skeletal trunk length of the animal, from the silhouetted legs in the image. One or more first ultrasound transducers can be arranged to determine an approximate height of the pelvic region, and one or more second ultrasound transducers can be arranged to determine an approximate width of the pelvic region.
