  • Patent number: 11725412
Abstract: A chemical storage tank assembly for storing sulfuric compounds includes a plurality of bricks that is each comprised of basalt. In this way each of the bricks can resist ingress of sulfuric compounds into the bricks. The plurality of bricks are arranged to define a floor, a plurality of walls and a roof of a storage tank to contain sulfuric compounds. A grout is positioned between each of the bricks for binding the bricks together to define the storage tank. Additionally, the grout is comprised of calcium silicate to resist the ingress of sulfuric compounds into the grout.

  • Patent number: 9809938
Abstract: A box culvert assembly and method of forming a box culvert assembly. The boxes forming the assembly comprise portions configured to allow pivoted assembly of one box into another, while reducing the likelihood of high stress or fracture. The box assembly further allows for a generally tight seal between the boxes.

  • Patent number: 9481968
Abstract: A system providing environmentally friendly pathway tunnel utilizes bridge units having a bottom configuration with multiple elongated beams and slots. One or more of the beams includes upstanding sedimentation members that are spaced apart along a span of the tunnel. The system interacts with the flowing water and earthen material in the flowing water such that capture and settling of the earthen material at locations along the tunnel occurs to produce a more natural water flow pathway along the tunnel.

  • Patent number: 4565184
Abstract: A heater is disclosed for burning combustible particulate fuels. The fuels are delivered to an internal retort at a constant rate. They are burned at an open end of the retort with the aid of a primary air supply manifold that surrounds the open end of the retort and directs primary combustion air into the particulates at the open retort end. Secondary combustion air is directed through an annular air supply manifold situated above the open retort end. The hot exhaust gases pass upwardly through a combustion chamber and subsequently downwardly through an exhaust gas plenum to an exhaust gas discharge. Flow of the combustion air and exhaust gases is induced by a vacuum blower mechanism by which a reduced pressure is produced within the combustion chamber to draw air through the primary and secondary air supply manifolds. The exhaust gases drawn off by the vacuum mechanism are pressurized on a discharge side of the vacuum mechanism.
