Plural Patents (Class 122/52)
  • Patent number: 10012412
Abstract: A fluid heater comprises an enclosed combustion chamber, at least one burner operatively coupled to the enclosed combustion chamber and a heat transfer section. The heat transfer section has a first end operatively coupled to the enclosed combustion chamber, a second end, an outer wall defining a closed chamber therein, a fluid inlet port coupled to the outer wall in fluid communication with the chamber and a fluid outlet port coupled to the outer wall in fluid communication with the chamber. A plurality of tubes have an opened first end, an opposite opened second end and a chamber extending therebetween, wherein the plurality of tubes are mounted within the heat transfer section so that an outside wall of each of the plurality of tubes and an inside wall of the heat transfer section define the closed chamber. Each of the tube chambers are in fluid communication with the enclosed combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 8544424
Abstract: A system, a controller, and a method for transmitting and distributing a data stream from a host to a storage device having a non-volatile memory and a chip are provided. A specific mark is added into a data stream which is transmitted from the host to the storage device, such that the data stream can be dispatched to the chip by transmitting a write command. Then, a response message generated by the chip can be received inerrably by executing a plurality of read commands.

  • Patent number: 6394042
Abstract: A gas fired tube and shell heat exchanger directs a flame directly into an inlet end of the tube bundle and the flame and exhaust are drawn through the tube bundle by an induced draft blower located in the exhaust stream outside of the shell. Liquid to be heated is pumped through the shell by an electric pump. In another preferred embodiment, a forced draft blower is placed on behind the burner to force air into the tube bundle. Control features prevent the burner from firing unless there is liquid flow through the shell.

  • Patent number: 4470359
Abstract: A boiler which is designed to be fired by oil and/or gas comprises a water cooled combustion tube closed at one end and located within a water space of the boiler, is connected to a solid fuel fired boiler by an auxiliary furnace having a combustion chamber with means to introduce solid fuel into the combustion chamber, and an opening in the wall of the combustion chamber, the opening having an extension nozzle extending therefrom whereby hot gases may pass from the extension nozzle of the furnace into the combustion tube of the boiler at a position intermediate the ends of the combustion tube.

  • Patent number: 4294198
Abstract: A heating boiler is provided which includes a water jacket including front and rear walls with fuel flues being employed in the boiler. A tube is provided which extends through the water jacket and extends through the front and rear walls and encloses the aforesaid flues as well as defining a combustion chamber and a collecting chamber. A sleeve is provided in the vicinity of the collecting chamber and the tube and sleeve are in such a relationship that one encircles the other. A gap is defined between the tube and sleeve at least one of which is provided with a bulge adjacent the gap to increase the size of the gap between the tube and sleeve. The outermost of the tube and sleeve members is connected in a thermally conductive manner with the rear wall of the water jacket, and a closure is provided with respect to either the tube or the sleeve to obturate the collecting chamber. In one embodiment, the sleeve encircles the tube, and, in another embodiment, the tube encircles the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4089278
Abstract: A furnace, especially a coal burning furnace, in which the coal to be burned is placed on a grate near the bottom of a combustion chamber. According to the invention, a fan, or blower, has the inlet and the outlet connected to conduits which lead downwardly at opposite sides of the furnace and turn inwardly into the combustion chamber and blow the flue gases back into the combustion chamber at about 3 inches above the flame center and slightly forward thereof to provide an over and under draft. The conduits extending downwardly from the fan, or blower, at the sides of the boiler preferably have clean-outs at the lower ends thereof, with doors, and solid particles entrained in the flue gas which drop out therefrom can thereby be removed from the conduits. Further, each conduit is preferably provided with a blowdown nozzle at the top to which compressed air can be supplied to blow down the conduit and thereby dislodge solid material that may accumulate therein during operation of the boiler.
