Abstract: Disclosed is a gas boiler which has a simple structure, which is easy to be installed, and which is manufactured at a low cost. The typical water tank is partitioned into an upper casing and a lower casing which are capable of communicated with each other. A three-way valve and a circulation pump are mounted to the lower casing in a row in the horizontal direction, and the plurality of pipelines are arranged by using the above serial arrangement as a reference. A recess for retaining a printed circuit board box is formed in one side of the upper casing. The three-way valve is coupled to the lower casing and circulation pump is to the three-way valve. Therefore, the size of the gas boiler is minimized and the manufacturing cost thereof is economized.
Abstract: A ceramic tile is mounted to the wall of an incinerator or other high temperature and/or corrosive environment with a stud assembly that includes a threaded stud and a ceramic T-nut. The ceramic T-nut thermally shields the stud to protect it from oxidation and corrosion, and reduces cracking in tile because the T-nut and the tile have similar thermal expansion. The T-nut is accessible through a small bore.

Abstract: Disclosed is a gas boiler which has a simple structure, which is easy to be installed, and which is manufactured at a low cost. The typical water tank is partitioned into an upper casing and a lower casing which are capable of communicated with each other. A circulation pump and a three-way valve are mounted to the lower casing in a row in the vertical direction, and a plurality of pipelines are arranged by using the above perpendicular arrangement as a reference. The circulation pump is coupled to the lower casing and the three-way valve is coupled to the circulation pump. Therefore, the size of the gas boiler is minimized and the manufacturing cost thereof is economized.
Abstract: A quench boiler apparatus and process is disclosed wherein the hot effluent gases are indirectly cooled by contact with a central internal cold side, one or more internal bayonets and one or more waterwall tubes.
Abstract: In a heat protective shield with solid protective element bodies (16), wh consist of highly heat-resistant material such as graphite, each containing a groove-like recess (20), and comprising cooling pipes (12) arranged in the recess (20), the wall portion forming the recess (20) surrounds the respective cooling pipe (12) in tongs-like manner and the protective element bodies (16) are connected to the associated cooling pipe solely in radially form-locking and axially force-locking manner.

Abstract: An economical, efficient, compact furnace is provided with horizontal radiant furnace tubes that extend along all the walls of the furnace for uniform heat distribution and load. The furnace is particularly useful in oil refineries and petrochemical plants. The furnace also has a special pattern of burners for safer, more effective heat transfer.

Abstract: A cooler for a shaft furnace comprises a metal plate for protecting the furnace walls from the heat effect arranged in the way of heat flow and a means for cooling said plate. The plate is made in the form of metal pipes filled with a coolant and sealed at the ends thereof. The coolant-filled ends of the pipes are rigidly fixed to the plate, and the coolant-free ends of said pipes are mounted within a cooling chamber with the coolant circulating therethrough. The cooling chamber is arranged exteriorly of the furnace wall. The coolant-free ends of the pipes are disposed slightly above those filled with the coolant. The plate is formed of two layers, namely, a high-heat-conducting layer and a low-heat-conducting one, the former facing the furnace working space and the latter being presented to the furnace wall. The interfacial plane of the layers is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipes. The present invention can be advantageously used for the protection of blast-furnace shells.

Abstract: A method of preventing occurrence of pulsation in a circulating liquid for evaporative cooling which, in the case of passing the circulating liquid received within a steam separator through a cooling stave of a blast furnace and feeding said circulating liquid back into the separator through an inlet thereof thereby to perform the evaporative cooling operation for said blast furnace, comprises the step of raising, where the fraction dryness of the circulating liquid fed back into the separator is not greater than a prescribed value, the surface level of the circulating liquid within the separator up to a position higher than said inlet, and the step of lowering, where said fraction dryness of said circulating liquid exceeds said prescribed value, said surface level up to a position lower than said inlet.
