Having An Antitampering Device Patents (Class 123/466)
  • Patent number: 7552716
Abstract: A common rail fuel injection system includes an electronic control unit and a fuel pressure sensor. The electronic control unit is equipped with a power supply circuit which supplies a power supply voltage to the fuel pressure sensor through a harness. The power supply voltage is used in the pressure fuel sensor as a drive voltage to drive a sensor element of the fuel pressure sensor. The electronic control unit monitors an output voltage of the fuel pressure sensor to determine the pressure of fuel in a common rail and also monitors the drive voltage applied to the fuel pressure sensor to determine whether the drive voltage is undesirably lower than the power supply voltage or not. If such a condition is encountered, the electronic control unit takes measures to avoid an excessive rise in pressure in the common rail to protect the common rail physically.

  • Patent number: 5975054
Abstract: A security system, which prevents unauthorized access to an adjusting or function element of a fuel supply pump. To that end, the security device comprises a base part, having a bottom by way of which the base part is screwed to a housing wall of the fuel supply pump, and a cap part which is placed, surrounding the function element, on the base part in such a way that the cap part has a side wall that is surrounded with positive complementary engagement by a side wall of the base part. This prevents access to the function element and to the fastening of the base part. The cap part is secured to the base part by connections that are secured against access.

  • Patent number: 4353336
Abstract: A fuel pumping apparatus includes a slide member which can be engaged with an arm of a throttle which controls the flow of fuel to an injection pump of the apparatus. The slide is moveable by an operator to cut off the supply of fuel to the associated engine. A tumbler lock mechanism is mounted in a housing of the apparatus and is connected to an arm which can engage a production on the slide member to move and/or retain the slide member to the position in which supply of fuel to the engine is prevented.
