Abstract: An engine-equipped vehicle capable of preventing gear noise and gear wear when the engine is started is provided. A multicylinder engine, a gear transmission that shifts power from the multicylinder engine by a shift operation, a centrifugal clutch arranged in a power transmission path from the multicylinder engine to the gear transmission, and an electronic control device that controls an operation of the multicylinder engine are included and the engine is configured to be started with a partial cylinder operation start where under control of the electronic control device, only some cylinders are operated and an operation of other cylinders is stopped.
Abstract: In an arrangement for controlling an internal combustion engine, comprising an electronic engine control unit, an injector with an injection needle for controlling the injecting of fuel into a combustion chamber of the engine and a connecting line extending between the electronic engine control unit and the injector for the transmission if signals therebetween, an intelligent electronic component is integrated into the injector including an electronic memory unit, a computation unit, an energy storage device forming an energy supply for the electronic component and also a measuring unit for opto-electronically detecting the movement of the fuel injector needle.

Abstract: A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine having common intake manifold sections and branches communicating adjacent cylinders with each other via fuel-air intake valves of the cylinders. Fuel injection valves are disposed in the intake manifold sections in order to inject fuel. A fuel injection signal is provided for simultaneously opening all of the fuel injection valves for simultaneously injecting fuel therefrom while most of the intake valves of the cylinders are closed and not during the period of changing from the opening condition to closing condition of the remaining intake valves of the remaining cylinders.
Abstract: An edge discharge pulse fuel injector for discharging fuel to the cylinder of an internal combustion engine has a housing with a bore extending axially therein receiving an orifice plate fixed in one end thereof to partly enclose that one end, with the orifice plate having a valve seat surface and an opposed outboard surface with an orifice passage extending therethrough that is located radially outward from the axis of the housing. A solenoid means is fixed in the opposite end of the housing, the solenoid means including a pole piece means with a working surface positioned at right angles to the housing axis and in axial spaced apart opposed relationship to the valve seat surface to define a fuel chamber therewith within the housing which is adapted to receive fuel.
Abstract: A control unit for the lubricating oil circulation pump and for the fuel injection system regulator of diesel engines, comprising a shaft extending through the cylinder block from the oil sump to said regulator, which is mounted externally, said shaft being operationally connected at an intermediate point thereof to the engine cam shaft, and at its opposing ends to the power take-offs of said circulating pump and regulator respectively.
