Abstract: A filter element of an air filter includes a main body and a substrate. The far infrared emission powder substances are embedded at certain grain sized and at certain ratio to the substrate, thereby forming the main body that is adapted in form to various internal combustion engines. The resonance effect will be created by means of the far infrared emission substances in the filter element of the air filter, thereby making tiny the molecular cluster of water in the moisture-containing air entering into the internal combustion engine for combustion, increasing the molecular freedom, enlarging the contact surface of the oil gas with the air. Therefore, it's easier that the oxygen-containing particles and the oil gas are evenly mixed for reaching an optimal mixture ratio of the original design standard.

  • Patent number: 6871641
Abstract: The invention relates to an air-activating device made of material with magnetism or far infrared radiation. The air-activating device has a plurality of vent holes that are extended parallel to each other and whose internal diameter becomes smaller from inlet toward outlet. The vent holes are closely disposed for reducing the clearance between every two inlets, thereby thinning the windward parts. Moreover, the air-activating body is suitable to be placed in an air filter of internal combustion engine or fixed in an air inlet pipe thereof. Thanks to the tapering structure of the vent holes, the airflow through the vent holes can be squeezed to increase the pressure and the flow rate of incoming air. Due to the thinning of the windward parts, the windward resistance and the airflow disturbance are diminished.

The apparatus includes at least two electrodes (14 & 16) having a voltage potential impressed thereacross to generate a region of intense electric field and means to maintain the resulting voltage-current characteristic relationship within a corona discharge region of operation (42).

  • Patent number: 4519357
Abstract: An air ionizer for installation in the air intake path of an internal combustion engine, to introduce ozone and other oxidizing agents into the engine with acceptable levels of air flow restriction and at a sufficient concentration level to substantially improve combustion within the engine. A glass tube is filled with an inert gas and has an inner electrode extending a short distance into an end of the tube. A foraminous copper outer electrode substantially surrounds the glass tube and is slightly spaced apart from it. A high voltage is applied between the inner and outer electrodes, so that when air flows past the tube, ozone and other oxidizing agents are generated between the outer surface of the tube and the outer electrode, and escape into the air stream through the holes in the outer electrode.

  • Patent number: 4461262
Abstract: A fuel treating device comprises two pairs of magnets, one pair positioned on each inlet for fuel and oxygen so that the incoming fuel is exposed to a magnetic field. Each pair of magnets is positioned diametrically opposed about the inlet line with the south magnetic pole of each magnet placed upstream furthest away from the mixing zone. The magnets are insulated from each other and from the inlet line by nonmagnetic materials, such as Neoprene, which do not disrupt the magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 4434771
Abstract: An ozone production system for use with hydrocarbon fuel apparatus, such as internal combustion engines, to improve the efficiency of combustion and to limit ozone emissions in the exhaust. The system comprises electrode means for the production of ozone arranged in association with the air inlet of an hydrocarbon fuel apparatus, an ozone sensing means associated with the exhaust outlet of the hydrocarbon fuel apparatus, and control means operative in response to an output of the ozone sensing means for supplying electricity to the electrode means for producing ozone at a controlled rate so as to limit the ozone emissions at the exhaust outlet and so as to supply sufficient ozone for complete combustion of the hydrocarbon fuel.

  • Patent number: 4386595
Abstract: Exhaust pollutants of a vehicle are reduced by providing dry, substantilly moisture-free air which is mixed with the fuel. The conventional air filter is removed and replaced by a housing containing a plurality of sealed glass tubes having inert gas therein which treats the air by subjecting it to ultraviolet rays and additional heat. The air has been initially heated to remove the moisture and subjected to an ultraviolet treatment before it reaches the housing.

  • Patent number: 4308844
Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving the efficiency of an internal combustion engine by producing ozone gas and positively charged air particles in a supply of air to an engine. The apparatus comprises an ozone generator cell suitably positioned with respect to the engine so that an air supply to the engine passes between adjacent plates of the ozone generator. In one embodied form, the apparatus comprises a tubular ozone generator cell for charging and ionizing a relatively small volume of air to the engine. The air supply to the generator may be first treated to substantially remove ambient moisture by means of a suitable air dryer. Optionally, a plurality of generators may be connected in sequence to provide an increased source of ozone gas to the engine thereby to commensurately reduce fuel consumption and exhaust gas emissions.
