  • Patent number: 10393473
Abstract: A compact improved bug killing gun includes a compressed gas source fluidly connected to a chamber connected to a barrel. A compressed gas release mechanism is connected to the compressed gas source. A projectile storage magazine stores particulate projectiles and is located adjacent the chamber. A projectile loading mechanism moves the projectiles into the chamber from the magazine. A cocking mechanism is mechanically connected to the compressed gas source, the compressed gas release mechanism, and the projectile loading mechanism. When the gun is cocked, the projectile loading mechanism loads a quantity of the particulate projectiles into the chamber. When the compressed gas release mechanism is activated the projectiles are ejected from the chamber into the barrel and expelled from the gun. The gun optionally includes a laser sighting mechanism. The battery operated laser sighting mechanism is removably attached to the barrel or permanently attached with an integral, trigger operated switch.

The first ASP, in one embodiment, is able to couple to a coupling surface of the magazine and provide ammunition to a gun when the first ASP is connected to an ammunition loading port (“ALP”) of the gun. The second ASP is also coupled to the coupling surface of the magazine and provides ammunition to the gun when the second ASP is connected to the ALP of the gun. The first ammunition compartment occupies a first portion of ammunition capacity of the magazine and is able to arrange ammunition in a column formation. The second ammunition compartment occupies a second portion of ammunition capacity of the magazine and is able to arrange ammunition in a column formation.

Abstract: A paintball assembly capable of retaining a paintball in a loading chamber using a paintball catcher is disclosed. The paintball assembly includes a loading chamber, a detent, and a bolt. The loading chamber is coupled to a loading port to receive paintballs. In one embodiment, the detent includes a paintball catcher capable of catching the paintball as it is loaded into the loading chamber. In one example, the paintball catcher is a flexible paintball catcher extending into the loading chamber and is able to catch the paintball and hold it in a predefined position. When a trigger is pulled, the bolt pushes the paintball into a firing chamber while the paintball catcher releases the paintball.

Abstract: Methods are presented which improve the performance of semi and fully automatic paintball guns include sensing paintball and gun bolt position during loading to coordinate and pace the gun for maximum automatic feed rate and minimal chopping. In addition, methods are presented for indicating a need for servicing through an alarm when the magazine nears empty based upon various conditions such as sensed magazine feed rate fall-off. Additional apparatus are discussed for carrying out the methods, and for performance of other tasks such as selection of pre-wind in spring-type forced-feed loaders.

Abstract: Loading pellets into a pellet gun, whether it is of breech or break barrel design, is often a frustrating and difficult procedure, especially when done with the fingers. The pellets are small and hard to handle. Various embodiments of a dispenser for dispensing pellets to a breech design or a break barrel design pellet gun without touching them are described. The frustration and other difficulties usually encountered by pellet gun users are avoided by the dispensers delivering the pellets directly to pellet guns.

Abstract: Among other things, methods and apparatus regarding collection, dissemination and display of information concerning paintball loaders and markers are disclosed. A loader includes a heads-up display, electronic devices for gathering, storing and disseminating information, and an antenna for sending and receiving data. Wireless voice communications among paintball players is possible via associated headsets. There is also disclosed paintball equipment and methods for controlling both the firing and loading mechanism of paintball equipment. Current systems or mechanisms have individual and discrete electronic control systems for firing operations, e.g. located in the paintball gun itself, and loading operations, e.g. located inside the paintball loader. The present disclosure unifies the electronic control of said firing and loader operations into a single electronic circuit board located on either the paintball gun or paintball loader.

  • Patent number: 8251051
Abstract: A bug killing gun includes a compressed gas source fluidly connected to a chamber connected to a barrel. A stock houses and supports the compressed gas source, the compressed gas release mechanism, the barrel, the chamber, the projectile storage magazine, the cocking mechanism and the projectile loading mechanism. When the gun is cocked, the projectile loading mechanism loads a predetermined quantity of the particulate projectiles into the chamber. When the compressed gas release mechanism is activated the projectiles are ejected from the chamber into the barrel and expelled from the gun.

The weapon also has a gun barrel in fluid communication with the breech. A barrier is situated intermediate the projectile and the gun barrel. The barrier impedes the forward movement of the projectile until gas is released from the gas storage chamber and the pressure within the breech builds to a point sufficient to force the projectile through the barrier and out the gun barrel. The weapon also has several unique projectile storage devices that function with the aid of recycled gas.

Abstract: A magazine of the present invention includes a main body and a plug member. The main body is formed with a trough and a recess. The recess has a lateral opening, a top portion and a bottom portion. The recess is provided to receive an air cartridge between the top portion and the bottom portion. The lateral opening is used for the air cartridge being put therethrough. The main body is formed with a hole passing through the bottom portion and communicating with the recess. A diameter of the hole is smaller than a maximum diameter of the air cartridge. The plug member is screwed into the hole so as to press the air cartridge. Accordingly, the plug member gradually presses the air cartridge by screw action. Once the plug member is completely screwed into the hole, the air cartridge is fixed in the recess.
