Abstract: A valve body is provided defining housing a moveable valve spool having a first end and a second end. The valve spool forms a gas balance chamber within the valve body. The valve spool has an end for closing an opening in the valve body. A channel running through the valve spool provides communication with the second end of the valve spool and the gas balance chamber. The second end of the spool valve is adapted to have an effective surface area greater than the effective surface area of the gas balance chamber.

Abstract: A percussion controlling mechanism of paintball guns includes a percussion member and an air valve separately installed in a gun body. A main air passage is located in front of and separated from the air valve by a spring. Located behind the air valve is a driving chamber having a driving member. An air sub-passage is formed under the air valve chamber for communicating with the main air passage. A driving valve is installed in a grip to correspond to the driving chamber, having an ever-opened buffering hole communicating with a front end of the driving chamber and the air sub-passage, and a driving hole communicating with a rear end of the driving chamber. By means of the air sub-passage to provoke a difference of pressure in the driving chamber, the backlash of percussion can be greatly lowered to boost speed of continuous shooting.

  • Patent number: 7617819
Abstract: A bolt for a pneumatic paintball gun is preferably slidable between an open and a closed position. The bolt preferably provides a firing mechanism for the paintball gun by permitting compressed gas to flow through the bolt to fire the paintball gun when the bolt is closed but preventing the transfer of compressed gas through the bolt when the bolt is open. This can be accomplished, for instance, by arranging a sealing member in communication with a surface of the bolt. A port is also preferably arranged through a lateral sidewall of the bolt at a predetermined location. The bolt preferably slides in relation to the sealing member such that when the bolt is open, the sealing member prevents compressed gas from flowing into the bolt, but when the bolt is closed, compressed gas is permitted to flow into the bolt. The bolt is preferably controlled by using a control valve such as an electronic solenoid valve to operate a pneumatic piston.

Abstract: A bolt assembly for a paintball gun preferably includes a valve stem having an output port that can supply compressed gas to a compressed gas storage chamber. A bolt is preferably slidably mounted on the valve stem to move between a forward and a rearward position. The bolt can include one or more bolt ports configured to communicate compressed gas from the compressed gas storage chamber to a forward end of the bolt for launching a paintball when the bolt is in the forward position. When the bolt is in a rearward position, the bolt ports preferably communicate compressed gas from the outlet port of the valve stem into the compressed gas storage chamber. A sealing member can be arranged on the valve stem in communication with the bolt to prevent compressed gas in the compressed gas storage chamber from entering a forward bolt chamber when the bolt is in the rearward position and to permit compressed gas to enter the forward bolt chamber through the bolt ports when the bolt is in the forward position.

Abstract: This invention can make a valve compact in function and improve using efficiency of a compressed gas and make an air gun compact. To achieve this object, an air gun is constructed by a hit pin arranged in a cylinder portion, a valve body arranged within a hollow portion of the cylinder portion and having a bullet supplying nozzle chamber and a valve pin chamber, a gas inlet port opened to a sleeve-shaped circumferential face of the valve pin chamber, a bullet supplying nozzle arranged within the bullet supplying nozzle chamber, and a valve pin arranged within the valve pin chamber. The hit pin is pressed on a muzzle side and the valve pin is slid to the muzzle side so that an airtight state between a valve pin flange portion and a side face of the valve pin chamber on its gun rear end side is released. A compressed gas is supplied to a nozzle chamber side opening and a valve pin chamber side opening from a clearance between the valve pin flange portion and the gun rear end side face of the valve pin chamber.
