Publication number: 20150107570Abstract: [Problem] A mortar peeling method which can keep a sound generated during a peeling work to an allowable quiet sound and can peel a mortar off a concrete framework smoothly. [Solution] In a mortar peeling method, by gradually extending a piston rod 42 of a hydraulic jack 13 in a mortar peeling device 10A forward in one direction, a cutter 14 is gradually advanced forward in one direction so as to execute a mortar peeling process of peeling a mortar 21 with a predetermined thickness off a concrete framework 20 by using the cutter 14. In the mortar peeling method, after the piston rod 42 of the hydraulic jack 13 is extended forward in one direction and the mortar 21 is peeled, by retreating the piston rod 42 rearward in one direction, a session of the mortar peeling process is completed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2012Publication date: April 23, 2015Inventors: Kazumasa Takagi, Eizou Takagi, Masayuki Asakura, Tatsuya Ida

Publication number: 20140345589Abstract: A peeling device, which can keep a sound generated during a peeling work to an allowable quiet sound, includes a guide member extending in one direction in parallel with an outer surface of a mortar, a fastening assembly for preventing movement of the guide member in a direction away from the outer surface of the mortar, a hydraulic jack having a piston rod extendable forward in one direction and located between the mortar and the guide member, a connector for detachably connecting the jack to the guide member, and a cutter located at a tip end portion of the piston rod and peeling the mortar off the concrete framework. With gradual extension of the rod of the jack forward in one direction, the cutter gradually advances forward in one direction, and a cutting edge of the cutter peels the mortar with a predetermined thickness off the concrete framework.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2012Publication date: November 27, 2014Inventors: Kazumasa Takagi, Eizou Takagi, Masayuki Asakura, Tatsuya Ida

Patent number: 6994081Abstract: A casted concrete block surface-roughing machine having an in-line conveyor displaceable over a stationary horizontal support surface for slidingly supporting a lower surface of concrete blocks displaced thereon by the conveyor. At least two pairs of spaced-apart vertically supported conveyor belts are disposed to engage opposed side faces of the concrete blocks to displace them along the stationary horizontal support surface. One of the pairs of the conveyor belts engages the opposed side faces in a lower surface section thereof to expose an upper surface section thereof to be abraded by respective surface abrading devices. The other of the pairs of conveyor belts engage the opposed side faces in the upper surface section of the concrete block to expose the lower surface section thereof to be abraded by further respective surfaces abrading devices.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2004Date of Patent: February 7, 2006Assignee: Techo-Bloc Inc.Inventors: Hans Pedersen, Charles Ciccarello

Publication number: 20030213214Abstract: This invention comprises a unique method for the sale of natural stone, special packaging for the stone and a method of doing business to make the stone available in high volume stores to the average consumer. The method comprises prefabricating the stone into slabs at or near the location where it is quarried, into sizes and shapes which are common, and often standard, in household bathrooms and kitchens. The stone slabs may, or may not, include cut-outs for sinks and faucets of various standard size. The pre-fabricated stone is then packaged in a box or carton which is designed to specially protect the stone, especially at the corners where most damage occurs, and shipping the packages to high volume, do-it-yourself consumer outlets.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2003Publication date: November 20, 2003Applicant: ROMALA STONE, INC.Inventors: Arnold L. Patent number: 5713785Abstract: A vacuum type portable sander for exhausting dust emitted during the sanding, and housed within a lid-shaped shield which encloses the rotary disc. The shield has a body of hard material provided with an exhaust outlet, and at the bottom edge has a skirt member to contact the work surface during sanding. This skirt member is installed to move freely up and down along the outer periphery of the body. The main body has a resilient member in order to make the skirt member rebound onto the work surface during sanding. The skirt member is installed suspended from a hook on the upper part of the main body. The skirt member of this invention as configured above, can move up and down in response to irregular portions on the work surface and the interior of the shield therefore maintains a good seal to match variations on the work surface. The skirt member of this invention sustains damage due to wear from contact with work surfaces such as walls.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1997Date of Patent: February 3, 1998Assignee: Linax Co., Ltd.Inventor: Takuji Nishio
