Abstract: A combination outdoor ventless fireplace and brick oven system includes a main body with a framework assembly. A fireplace firebox is formed in the framework assembly. An oven firebox is formed in the framework assembly and suspended above the fireplace firebox. A chimney flue is disposed above the oven firebox in the framework assembly. The framework assembly is covered by a refractory heat resistant mortar. The fireplace firebox has an aperture. The system also has a gas line disposed in the framework assembly below the aperture. The gas line is configured to connect the aperture with a gaseous fuel source. A burner pan may be disposed in the aperture.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to communicating with and controlling operation of electronically-controlled appliances. In one scenario, a computer system receives a first input from a computing system indicating that an electronically-controlled appliance is permitted to communicate with a cloud computing platform. The computer system generates a notification that is to be sent to a software application, where the software application is configured to control functions of the electronically-controlled appliance. The computer system transmits the generated notification to the software application, where the generated notification indicates that the cloud computing platform is communicably connected to the electronically-controlled appliance.

Abstract: An ignition device for a biomass particle fuel barbecue grill and a heater, the device comprising an electrode rod (2), an igniter (3) and a wire (5), wherein the electrode rod (2) is arranged at the bottom part of a biomass particle fuel combustion area, (1) in a biomass particle barbecue grill body. Specifically, a hole site is arranged at the bottom part of the biomass particle fuel combustion area (1) for fixing and installing the electrode rod, (2) and making contact with biomass particles in the biomass particle fuel combustion area (1); the igniter (3) is fixedly arranged at a suitable position on the outer surface of the biomass particle barbecue grill body; and the igniter (3) is connected to the electrode rod (2) by means of the wire (5).

The hopper is disposed below the feeding cylinder. The feeding cylinder is disposed through the ventilating chamber and the output end of the feeding cylinder extends into the U-shaped fire box. The auger is disposed in the feeding cylinder and is driven by the feeding motor; one end of the auger is provided with a driven gear, and the driven gear is meshed with the driving wheel of the feeding motor.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to controlling an electronically-controlled appliance using a software application and providing a user interface for controlling an electronically-controlled appliance. In one scenario, a computer system receives an indication from a remote computing system indicating that an electronically-controlled appliance is communicably connected to the remote computing system. The computer system provides a notification in the software application indicating that the electronically-controlled appliance is available to receive instructions, and receives a user input at the software application indicating that certain functions are to be performed by the electronically-controlled appliance. The computer system further generates instructions configured to control the electronically-controlled appliance based on the functions specified in the received user input, and sends the generated instructions to the electronically-controlled appliance to perform the specified functions.

Abstract: A pellet hopper for use in a pellet grill includes a first bottom panel, a second bottom panel, and a third bottom panel. Each bottom panel has an inner edge that partially defines a pellet evacuation opening. The first, second, and third bottom panels form respective first, second, and third nonzero angles relative to a horizontal plane. In this way, each bottom panel tilts downward toward the pellet evacuation opening.

Abstract: A grill including an upper shell and a lower shell is provided. The lower shell defines an opening there-through, and the upper shell and the lower shell together define a cooking chamber. A pellet burner is adapted to fit in the opening in the lower shell. The pellet burner includes an air duct having a first end and a second end. The first end is positioned outside of the lower shell and the second end is positioned inside of the lower shell when the pellet burner is fitted in the opening in the lower shell. The pellet burner includes a fan positioned to blow air through the air duct and through the second end of the air duct, and a pellet box configured to hold a plurality of pellets. An auger moves the pellets to a position adjacent the second end of the air duct that contains a hot rod.

Abstract: A cooking grill includes a container defining a combustion area and a cooking surface over the combustion area. The grill features a pellet burner unit disposed within the container under the cooking surface and a pellet feeding device arranged to feed pellets into the burner unit. The burner unit comprises a trough into which the pellets are fed. The trough is mounted in a movable support which can be pulled out from within the container. The feeding device includes a removable cartridge for containing pellets and a receptacle for receiving the cartridge inserted thereon so that the cartridge supplies pellets for transfer to the pellet burner unit. In addition, a gas burner system is arranged in the container adjacent to the pellet burner unit so as to apply heat from the gas burner system to the cooking surface in addition to or as an alternative to the pellet burner unit.

Abstract: A wood-fuel pellet burner assembly, such as for barbecues, includes a gravity-feed pellet fuel hopper positioned in alignment with a pellet fuel intake and a perforated pellet fuel slide that extends to a combustion region. A DC ignitor has a heating element that extends into the combustion region, and a DC fan is positioned to direct a flow of air through the perforated pellet fuel slide and into the combustion region. A DC power source, such as a vehicle-grade 12-volt battery, is coupled to and powers the DC ignitor and the DC fan.

Abstract: The invention relates to a wood pellet stove, comprising a feed device for automatically adding wood pellets in a metered manner from a pellet hopper belonging to the stove. Said pellet hopper having the feed device and a grate is accommodated in a lower, stationary stove part (20), which remains cold and does not become hot during operation. The combustion chamber having a chimney connection is accommodated in an upper stove part (21). The upper stove part (21) is supported on the lower stove part (20) by means of a turntable so that the upper stove part can be swiveled relative to the lower, stationary stove part (20). Thus, the combustion chamber and the viewing window can be swiveled in any desired direction as needed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method used with a conventional barbecue, such as a kettle-type barbecue, which enables the barbecue to be fueled by fuel pellets burned in a fire box. The apparatus includes a support, a hopper and feeder structure for the fire box combined into a unitary construction selectively positionable as a unit on the barbecue body of the barbecue or removed therefrom. In embodiments illustrated, the fire box is positioned so as to direct heat to a desired location within the apparatus.

Abstract: An apparatus for cooking using wood pellets comprising: a direct cooking zone; an indirect cooking zone separated from the direct cooking zone by a divider; and a wood pellet burner positioned in the direct cooking zone such that food items in the direct cooking zone will be positioned above the burner. The cooking apparatus has a combustion flow path such that combustion gas from the burner will flow upwardly in the direct cooking zone, then over the divider, and then downwardly into the indirect cooking zone. The downward flow of combustion gas into the indirect cooking zone provides a top down cooking mode for food products placed therein.

Abstract: A portable pellet fired heating element for mounting to a grill or stove and comprising a gravity fed pellet holder, a unitary tubular structure having a burner, an air intake and an exhaust chute. Fuel may be supplied to the pellet holder by various supply means such as a conveyer, ramp, scooped, held in bulk in a hopper, and like pellet supply structures and methods. Fuel is fed to the air-cooled insulated burner area onto a decomposer grate, which defines the primary combustion area and which is partially open to the atmosphere for air intake. An adjustable high-pressure flow of gas or vapor is introduced to the primary exhaust chute below the decomposer grate to create a low pressure flow above the grate and which upon ignition, cause flames to be pulled into the pellet mass on the grate.

Abstract: A biomass pellet burning stove has a hopper storing biomass pellets which are transported from the hopper to a feeder tube with a rotating disc having slots for holding biomass pellets and allowing the biomass pellets to move from the slots into a feeder tube which directs the biomass pellets to a burn pot. The burn pot has first and second biomass burning chambers that separately burn biomass pellets by an efficient, environmental and economic compatible process.

Abstract: A pellet fuel burner, such as a cooking grill, has a fire box with a generally open top plane. A pellet burner unit is disposed in the fire box below the cooking surface. A pellet feeding device opens into the fire box and is disposed so as to feed pellets into the burner unit. A pressure box has an inlet supplied with combustion air at a positive pressure. A plurality of outlets are provided in the pressure box and disposed so as to create a turbulent combustion air flow in the pellet burner unit. The outlets may include a first outlet disposed above the burner unit and a second outlet disposed below the burner unit. The turbulent combustion air flow and supply of pellets, particularly corn kernels from the pellet feeding device allow for a continuous sustained combustion of the fuel in the pellet burner.

Abstract: A fireplace for food cooking having a planar member adapted to receive coals dispersed thereon and having two sides extending perpendicular therefrom on opposite sides thereof and a back extending perpendicular therefrom and between the two sides. A fireplace hood is supported on the two sides and the back. The fireplace hood has a duct extending upwardly therefrom. The duct is adapted to allow smoke to discharge from the hood. A baffle plate wall has its ends affixed to the two sides and a back side spaced from the back so as to define a hollow space therewith. The baffle plate wall is positioned between the planar member and the fireplace hood so as to define a combustion chamber and a cooking chamber. The hollow space has an upper opening and a lower opening. The lower opening defining an access mouth adapted to draw the coals in the combustion chamber.

Abstract: A stove for burning solid fuel, such as coke or coal, comprises a feed hopper for storing a stock of fuel and a supporting member for supporting fuel present in a fireplace. The feed hopper is in communication near its lower side with the space incorporating the fireplace via a downwardly sloping fuel supply channel. The boundary walls of the channel are arranged one above the other. A passage is provided for the supply of primary combustion air near the lower side of the combustion chamber. An inlet passage for the supply of secondary combustion air is provided above the combustion chamber. The primary combustion air is sucked-in with the aid of a fan disposed upstream of the combustion chamber. The passage for supplying the primary combustion air is automatically closed by a valve when the fan is made inoperative.

Abstract: A mantel device for storing and dispensing fuel for insert-type pellet stoves having a continuous feed hopper. A pellet stove mantel has a hopper inside the mantel. The mantel hopper is attachable to the continuous feed hopper of the pallet stove and provides hopper to hopper fuel feed. The mantel device has the appearance of a zero clearance fireplace including a flush mounted mantel, a pedestal lift attached to the main frame of the mantel and a hearth mat is fastened to the main frame of the mantel and the pedestal lift. The mantel hopper is located in the upper portion of the mantel and has a plurality of angled sides forming a funnel. The mantel also has a cap at the top with an opening covered by a lid which provides an access to the hopper.
