  • Patent number: 10912317
Abstract: A conveyor belt (36) is arranged in at least one spiral conveyor unit (32) or (34) is arranged in tiers forming at ascending spiral stack (38) and/or a descending spiral stack (40). A ceiling or top sheet (58) is positioned over the spiral stack. A circulation fan (60, 62) draws spent thermal processing medium laterally from the tiers of the spiral stack, up the exterior of the stack and across the top of the stack above the ceiling or top sheet and through a heat exchanger (64) located above the ceiling. The treated thermal processing medium is then routed across the remainder of the diameter of the spiral stack and then down the side of the spiral stack diametrically opposite to the circulating fan thereby to enter the spiral stack in a lateral direction diametrically toward the circulating fan.

  • Publication number: 20130220145
Abstract: An oven for heating food products on a conveyor includes two chambers. A conveyor belt circulates within each chamber and between the chambers. Each chamber includes a drum oriented with a vertical axis, a motor for rotating the drum about the axis, and a conveyor belt having a length helically surrounding the drum. The conveyor belt has an infeed end and outlet end. A plenum is located within the chamber along an outer extent of the chamber and is curved substantially concentrically with the drum. The plenum forms a substantially closed air pathway having an inlet at one end and an outlet at an opposite end passing air into the first chamber. A fan is arranged to circulate air within the chamber and force air into the plenum inlet, through the plenum and out of the plenum outlet. A heat exchanger is arranged in the plenum to heat the air flowing within the plenum.

  • Patent number: 7565903
Abstract: The invention aims at reducing the beating noise generated from motors of equipments placed in a galley unit of an aircraft. A galley unit 1 of an aircraft includes a cabinet 10 formed of honeycomb panels and the like. The cabinet 10 has a counter 50 for cooking, and a compartment 20 formed under the counter 50 for storing service carts 30. A plurality of ovens 100 for heating warm dishes are provided above the counter 50. Each oven 100 has a fan motor for making the inner heat even. If all the fan motors of the ovens are driven at the same rotation frequency, a beating noise will be generated from the motor and amplified through the compartment 20. Therefore, the rotation frequencies of the fan motors are slightly varied.
