Cooking Attachments Patents (Class 126/218)
  • Patent number: 8763600
Abstract: The present invention refers to a gas burner (16), in particular a gas burner for a cooktop, comprising a plurality of burning portions (40, 42, 44). A gas burner according to the present invention comprises a plurality of burning portions (40, 42, 44) adapted to receive a gas flow from gas supply means (20, 30, 36) that comprise injector means (20) adapted to eject a gas flow diverging along the flow direction (10) to define a spreading angle Y. The gas burner is characterized in that gas-flow adjusting means (24, 25) are provided for modifying said spreading angle Y such that said gas flow is enabled to supply one or more of said plurality of burning portions (40,42, 44) depending on the adjustment of said spreading angle Y.

  • Patent number: 8757140
Abstract: An apparatus for use with a commercial grill to increase safety, efficiency, and organization. The apparatus includes a barrier extending upwardly from the cooking surface, and extending along the backsplash of the grill, the barrier having an accessory staging feature along a topmost portion, the topmost portion being at least eight inches above the cooking surface. The accessory staging feature can support one or more accessories. The invention may thereby increase usable grill surface area. The apparatus can also include an attachment assembly for attaching the barrier to a standard backsplash, or the barrier can be an integral extension of the backsplash. The invention substantially reduces the likelihood of ventilation/exhaust well fires. The invention makes cleaning the factory backsplash much easier, because the backsplash is substantially protected from splatter by the invention. The invention substantially protects the stainless steel or tile kitchen back wall from splatter, smoke, grease, and soot.

  • Patent number: 6148812
Abstract: Unit with at least one plate made of a material, which material is permeable to thermal radiation, such as glass ceramic, glass, ceramic or a similar material, as a surface for cooking, frying and/or keeping warm. The unit with at least one plate is on a frame construction with different types of adjustable heat sources distributed underneath and on the plate. Some of the heat sources are distributed under the plate in the form of radiant burners and act indirectly by radiation through the plate. Other heat sources are located above the level of the plate in the form of open atmospheric or atmospheric pressure gas burners and transmit heat directly by producing open flames. The respective heat sources correspond to the cooking, frying and/or warming positions.

  • Patent number: 5494027
Abstract: Simmer performance in gas ranges is improved by providing a burner grate with a flame impingement ring centered over the gas burner. The burner grate includes a base and a plurality of fingers attached to the base. The flame impingement ring is attached to all or some of the fingers. The flame impingement ring is sized so that simmer flames from the gas burner will impinge thereon. Thus, the flames are directed away from direct impingement on the cooking utensil, and some heat from the flames is absorbed by the grate. The flame impingement ring can have many cross-sectional configurations including curved, circular, oval or straight.
