Abstract: An induction heating container (1) in which an induction heat generator (3) is attached to the inside of a container main body (2) made of a non-conductive material so as to enable cooking by heating by an electromagnetic cooker. The induction heat generator (3) includes: a laminated body involving a conductor layer (4) that generates heat by induction of eddy current by high-frequency magnetic field and a heat-seal layer (5) that imparts heat-sealing properties to the container main body, and an eddy current control part (6) obtained by cutting the conductor layer (4) along the circumferential direction.

Abstract: An asador tool is provided having an ember scraper, a top front push fork, and two legs mounted on an elongated shaft with a tip point. Each leg has a rear pull point and a bottom front push point. The tip point is designed to penetrate and break up burning wood. The ember scraper having a plurality of scraper points forming a top saw tooth edge is designed to scrape hot embers from the surface of burning wood to expose the fire to new fuel. The top front push fork with a plurality of top front push points is mounted on a shaft top surface, and the two legs are mounted on a shaft bottom surface. The rear pull points and the push points are designed to pull and push, respectively, burning wood to create airflow and position the wood exactly where the Asador desires.

The induction heating cooker has an outer casing including a flange extending in an outward direction from a top portion of a container receptacle, with a heating coil container space being provided between the flange and a plate, such that one portion of each of the heating coils is disposed in the heating coil container space.

Abstract: An outdoor cooking apparatus with a lid having a flue gas flow channel therein which extends over at least most of the upper opening of the cooker firebox. The flue gas flow channel is formed between an inner lid wall and a second lid wall outside of the inner wall. One or more inlet openings are provided in the inner wall for receiving the cooker flue gas and one or more discharge openings are provided in the second wall for discharging the flue gas.

Abstract: Two main embodiments of a heat shield for a barbecue grill are disclosed herein. Both are designed to reduce the transfer of heat from the heated volume of the cooking chamber to the handle of the barbecue grill. The first embodiment mounts to the exterior of the cooking chamber and is disposed between the cooking chamber and the handle. The first embodiment is contoured to interrupt the convective flow of heated air away from the handle. The second embodiment mounts to the interior of the cooking chamber opposite the handle. The second embodiment rests adjacent the inside surface of the cooking chamber to form a partially or substantially closed volume that serves as an insulating barrier for the handle.

Abstract: A portable cooking system comprising a base tray, a grill plate, a lid, and a reflector is provided. The base tray comprises a heating through hole and a basin provided at a bottom of the base tray. The grill plate comprises a central opening, a substantially annular surface, and a plurality of drain holes in the annular surface. The reflector of an upturned bowl shape comprises a reflecting bump, radial furrows, and radial ridges alternatively disposed between the radial furrows, and the reflector is attached to a ceiling of the lid. Some of the radial furrows and the radial ridges are disposed on an inner surface of the upturned bowl shape, such that the heating airflow that rise upward through the heating through hole and hit a center portion of the reflector are guided outwardly to reach evenly over to the grill plate.

Abstract: The subject device is an energy savings lid for cooking utensils to be placed on a stove burner, with the subject device being essentially a covering lid for such a utensil having a surrounding downwardly turned flange extension all or part of the outer circumference of the lid such surrounding flange being structured to extend downwardly around the outer circumferential perimeter of the utensil beyond the outer surface of the utensil, ideally all the way to the stove surface, so that the inner semi-enclosed space under extended flange of the lid collects heat from the portion of the burner that is not covered by the bottom of the utensil and thence transfer such heat upwardly and inwardly into the inner circumferential surface of the utensil to be transferred in turn to the inner part of the utensil to help add heat in the cooking process.

Each side panel has positioning holes. The pivot collars are protruded out the side panels and mounted around the pivot pins. The holding pins are extended through the adjusting holes and the positioning holes.

Abstract: A roaster oven for the heating of foodstuffs includes an outer housing with an opening and a heating element disposed proximate an interior surface for heating thereof. A lid, removably positioned on the outer housing to at least partially cover the opening, has a stationary portion and a hinged portion pivotably mounted thereto. The hinged portion is pivotable with respect to the stationary portion about at least one hinge. The hinged portion has an open position in which at least a portion of the interior surface is accessible and a closed position in which the lid substantially covers the opening.

Abstract: A cover, such as a countertop addition, is disclosed. The cover includes a primary flat section having a first perimeter sized equivalently to a second perimeter of the range top, and having an upper side and an under side. The primary flat section is fittedly integrated along the first perimeter with at least one countertop adjacent to the range top on at least one side of the range top. The primary flat section may include at least one seam, wherein, upon unfolding of said primary flat section along the at least one seam, the primary flat section is sized equivalently to the perimeter of the range top. This folding improves ease of storage, such as in a storage compartment of an adjacent countertop to the range. The primary flat section may be formed of a wood or a metallic, for example, and may include a plurality of designs thereon.

Abstract: A portable food and utensil storage device includes a box like base component having a plurality of wheels attached to its bottom surface for rolling the device along a supporting surface. The interior of the base component includes a plurality of segregated compartments each configured and designed to retain hot or cold food items as well as various accessory items therein. The base component includes an opening adjacent its bottom surface in communication with an interior chamber for slidably receiving a gas fueled grill assembly. The top end of the base component is selectively coverable with a lid that pivotably engages the top edge of its rear wall. The inwardly facing side of the lid includes a plurality of bands and loops for retaining silverware, cups and similar items thereon.

Abstract: A housing for an outdoor gas fired construction heater that incorporates a one-piece shell design that sits on and mounts directly to the base. Openings are used in the sides near the top and the bottom of the shell to provide the burner system with a metered amount of inlet air. Integrally formed, inwardly and downwardly projecting panels protect the burner system from debris, drafts at floor level, and to shield the floor on which the burner sits from infrared energy. In order to increase the strength of the top and shell assembly, the top sits on and is directly mounted to the shell. The shell height and top openings are of a size to allow heat out but to prevent drafts from pulling the flame out of the top of the heater.

Abstract: Device for closing and automatically opening a cover of a cooking instrument, such as a grill and griddle, which includes a timing unit to determine the time for which the cooking instrument will function. The device includes an electromagnet for keeping the cover in closed and one or more springs for actuating opening of the cover, i.e., the springs are biased to open the cover. In operation, the closing position of the cover is detected, e.g., by a microswitch, and the electromagnet is activated in order to keep the cover closed. The electromagnet is controlled by the timing unit such that, when the cover is closed, the electromagnet is activated and the cover remains closed, and the electromagnet is deactivated after the time preset by the timing unit so that the cover is automatically opened through the bias of the springs.

Abstract: A portable outdoor stove and stand is disclosed. A support table has four vertically extending legs parallel with respect to each other in a rectangular configuration. The support table has a horizontal surface and a horizontal lower surface secured to the upper ends of the legs through pivot pins. Two of the legs adjacent to one edge of the table are provided with wheels. The support surface has downwardly extending side walls including a front side wall, a rear side wall and parallel end walls. A pair of laterally disposed apertures are formed in the upper surface with a recessed burner within each aperture. Each aperture has beneath the burner a drip pan and a burner support thereover for maintaining cookware thereon. The front wall has a pair of small apertures with recessed switches therein for controlling the flame in each burner. A lower shelf is secured between the legs adjacent the lower extents thereof.

Abstract: A microwave oven with built-in food covering mechanism, the microwave having a body defined by a top, bottom, sides and rear. A door is hingedly connected to the body and is opened to reveal an open interior of the body. A covering member is suspended within the oven interior and is operably connected to an electric motor built into the microwave body. The motor includes a rotating gear head which rotates in one of two directions to either wind or unwind the cord to either elevate or lower the covering member within the interior. A microprocessor energizes and deenergizes the motor and is operated by any of a selection of spring loaded, pressure actuated or sensing switch assemblies within the microwave interior.

Abstract: The present invention provides for a guard for surrounding the exposed perimeter of the top of a domestic stove. The guard is releasably attached to the stove top such that when it is attached to the stove it securely encloses the burners and pots resting on the burners. The guard prevents the passage of a finger through the guard such that a person is prevented from contacting the burner or pots on the stove when the guard is attached to the stove.

Abstract: A microwave oven with built-in food covering mechanism, the microwave having a body defined by a top, bottom, sides and rear. A door is hingedly connected to the body and is opened to reveal an open interior of the body. A covering member is suspended within the oven interior by a length of cord which extends through the top of the oven and is connected to an electric motor built into the microwave body. The motor includes a rotating gear head which rotates in one of two directions to either wind or unwind the cord to either elevate or lower the covering member within the interior. A microprocessor energizes and deenergizes the motor and is operated by either a key entry and a program memory or by a lever arm switch and limit switch assembly within the microwave interior.

Abstract: A food covering device for use with a microwave oven. The microwave oven has a door hingedly attached thereto and an interior which is defined by a top, sides and a bottom. The device includes a cover having a top and side wall which defines an open interior. The cover is suspended within the oven enclosure by a cord which attaches to the cover at one end and to the door of the oven at the other end. The cover is actuated from a first suspended position within the oven enclosure to a second position overlaying the bottom of the oven enclosure when the door is closed. A height adjuster is provided for adjusting the extent which the cover is actuated from the first to the second position. The cover overlays an item of food placed upon the bottom of the microwave interior when it is desirable to heat the item. The cover may also be adjusted solely at the height adjuster without the opening and closing motion of the door.

Abstract: A cooking assembly for a cooker or a cooking top and comprises a cooking plate (1) and at least one heat generator (200) enabling a receptacle to be heated without coming directly into contact therewith. The cooking plate (1) includes an opening (4) associated with each heat generator (200) and enabling said generator to act directly, together with retractable closure means such as a moving plug (203) associated with each opening (4) to close said opening when the heat generator (200) is not in use, the moving plug (203) then being flush with the top surface (2) of the cooking plate (1), motorized means being provided for retracting said moving plug in order to unmask the heat generator so that it can be put into use. The invention is applicable to cooking assemblies for gas cookers and/or electric cookers having a cooking plate made of molded glass, of vitroceramic, or of agglomerated inorganic fibers.

Abstract: A cooktop cover system and apparatus having at least one cooktop cover recessed within a surrounding framework to provide a flat surface when a cooking surface positioned under the cover is not in use. The cover comprises a generally flat plate-like member with a plurality of support legs attached to the plate-like member and extending downwardly therefrom to detachably engage a rigid planar member positioned under the plate-like member. At least one of the support legs is disposed inwardly from an adjacent outer edge of the plate-like member to provide a lever arm so that downward force applied between the inwardly disposed support leg and the adjacent outer edge of the plate-like member pivots the cooktop cover and raises the opposite edge to allow removal of the cover.

Abstract: A heater or cooker panel assembly comprises an enameled frame having an upper edge which is capped by a decorative edge trim made of alloy steel. The trim protects the upper edge of the frame against damage in use. The frame has an internal flange which mounts a glass or vitreous ceramic hob plate. A layer of silicone adhesive forms a cohesive unit with the frame and trim so that the hob plate is thermally bonded to the unit. A good bond is obtained between the enameled frame and the adhesive. In an embodiment where the frame is plastic coated or is of anodized aluminum, the trim is dispensed with and a substantially U-shaped profile is engaged over the internal flange of the frame. The U-shaped profile is formed of a material which is capable of being firmly bonded to the adhesive.

Abstract: A heat exchange device is adapted to recover heat from the fire box of a wood burning stove or the like for heating ambient air in a room or other enclosed space. The heat exchange device is adapted to mount in a recess in a stove top in place of a lid which is normally supplied with the stove. The device according to the invention includes heat exchange means which extend into the fire box of the stove below the top surface thereof. The heat from the heat exchange device is transmitted into a main cavity of the device where the heat is transferred to air forced through the main cavity by a blower mounted to an outside surface of the device. Air exit means are provided on a surface opposite to the surface on which the blower is mounted to provide a passage for heated air into the room or other enclosed space to be heated. The device may also include a top mounted isolated handle for ease in handling the device such as for moving from one area to another.

Abstract: A heat-insulated rotatable handle extends through an opening in the cover side wall of a barbecue grill to interconnect with a generally L-shaped lever arm located inside the cover. By the handle alone, the cover may be raised or lowered, and, at the same time, rotation of the L-shaped lever arm permits selectively locating an end portion of the arm within any one of a plurality of slots in the grill fire bed wall to achieve a corresponding opening relation.

Abstract: An improved portable grill construction employing a hood pivotally mounted to an underlying grill tub which supports a grilling grate and a heating element in spaced relation is described. The hood and the tub are manufactured from identical lightweight shells each having a deep portion and an adjacent shallow portion, which are mounted in confronting symmetrical relation to define a closed contour when the hood is closed. The top surface of the hood is apertured, and a separate insert member adapted for holding a container for food or liquid to be heated when the hood is closed, is removably mounted in the aperture and is so dimensioned as to yield an air-permeable gap around its entire periphery for efficient heating of the container. The hood is associated with the tub through a U-shaped member which folds flat when the hood is closed to define a carrying handle.
