  • Patent number: 4051836
Abstract: A cover having the form of a bell with double wall and space between the walls, for maintaining the cooking temperature of food, which is placed over a burner of a kitchen stove or the like and which prevents the hot air from escaping from the vicinity of the burner, forming a first chamber which maintains a substantially uniform temperature therewithin and with a second enveloping chamber formed by the double wall, which also admits hot air around the lower edge passing into the space between inner and outer wall thus increasing the efficiency of the conservation of heat within the inner chamber, which permits rapid cooking of the food with the use of less fuel or heat.

  • Patent number: 4014315
Abstract: A hood type double-walled telescopeable cover for cooking kettles, formed by a series of interengageable hollow elements, wherein the top element is bell-shaped and has an opening at its upper center portion and at its lower edge it has horizontal slots in the form of an inverted L; the remaining elements being in the form of the frustum of a cone having at their upper edges protruding pins that engage into the L shaped slots of the correspondingly upper element to form a bayonet coupling while at the bottom edges they have similar slots also in said inverted L shape where the pins of the upper edges of the correspondingly lower element engages; another series of similarly shaped elements but of lesser diameter constructed in such a manner that the whole unit is capable of being disassembled so that the whole series of outer most elements slidingly fit into the upper element immediately above and the inner elements are similarly capable of being disassembled to be slidably fit inside the correspondent upper e

  • Patent number: 3987719
Abstract: A cooking utensil including pan, base, and cover elements, each formed with annular outwardly extending flanges or lips about its periphery for cooperative stacking engagement to provide a portable oven or the like. The utensil is particularly useful for the baking of pizza or the like on a stove top, an electric hot plate, or over a camp fire. The base and pan elements have a specially configured construction including a plurality of openings in the sides thereof such that when stacked together, they cooperatively provide a heat-deflection chamber to direct the heat from a source below the base into an oven chamber formed between the pan element and its matching cover. The pan element also includes an annular trough or ridge to hold additional batter which, when heated, rises to form a thickened edge crust about the pizza.
